A safe and secure civil aviation system is a critical component of the nation's overall security, physical infrastructure, and economic foundation. Although it is not fully known at this time what actually occurred or which of the weaknesses in the nation's aviation security apparatus contributed to the terrible events of 11 September in the U.S.A., it is clear that serious weaknesses exist in our aviation security system including regulation system. Actually, defectiveness of regulations structure and contents concerned in aviation security were discussed in various studies. On this study, we have identified defectiveness in aviation security regulation system by the comparative study between 14 CFR and Korean regulations. Finally, we are to provide some suggestions and alternatives to improve aviation security regulation system in this country.

Human history show the whole society changed rapidly and found that the momentum and foundation of such change is " the advanced technology ",which is, the advanced knowledge. Today is the changing period from industrial society to information society, and information technology plays a great role. As the information society moves ahead, world economy and social infrastructure will be based upon network society and various information systems will make an integrated information system. This paper presents that to establish interior design related information in the age of information with radical change of previous way of thinking, cooperative information exchange system. The primary purpose of this thesis is to define and discuss the integration of fixed-base operators(FBO) and general aviation terminals(GAT) in Korean aviation practices in order to develop effective management and operational processes needed for Korea's expanding role in the northeast Asian region. The foundation of this research rests on four interconnected strategic points: the Korean government establishing regulations that define general and business aviation, increasing awareness of FBO and GAT, developing standards for effective operations, and optimizing the budget to build necessary infrastructure. There must be an initiative in establishing a guideline of future demand in order for these aforementioned points to take hold and for aviation activities to flourish. Korea will play a more integral role in an emerging market of general and business aviation by adhering to these strategic efforts.

Appropriate assessment of lateral capacity of pile foundation is known to be a complex problem involving soil-structure interaction. Having reviewed the available methods in brief, relative paucity of simple and rational technique to evaluate lateral capacity of pile in layered soil is identified. In this context, two efficient approaches for the assessment of lateral capacity of short pile embedded in bi-layer cohesive deposit is developed. It is presumed that the allowable lateral capacity of short pile is generally dictated by the permissible lateral displacement within which pile-soil system may be assumed to be elastic. The applicability of the scheme, depicted through illustration, is believed to be of ample help at least for practical purpose.

This paper deals with civil infrastructures in general, sensor and smart structure technology, and smart steel structures in particular. Smart structures technology, an integrated engineering field comprising sensor technology, structural control, smart materials and structural health monitoring, could dramatically transform and revolutionize the design, construction and maintenance of civil engineering structures. The central core of this technology is sensor and sensor networks that provide the essential data input in real time for condition assessment and decision making. Sensors and robust monitoring algorithms that can reliably detect the occurrence, location, and severity of damages such as crack and corrosion in steel structures will lead to increased levels of safety for civil infrastructure, and may significantly cut maintenance or repair cost through early detection. The emphasis of this paper is on sensor technology with a potential use in steel structures.

This study attempts to present specific technical measures and case models to meet the needs of caregivers and maximize the effectiveness of senior care facilities by utilizing Wellness IT Service. IT services for supporting elderly care need to go beyond productivity and efficiency and now require the new choice and standards to satisfy the Wellness concept of well-being and happiness. Therefore, this study explores to develop the existing human-based service into the Wellness IT Service by utilizing IT based Wellness in the elderly care facility and thereby to improve the quality of elderly care service. Therefore, this study analyzes the relevant research background and the various feasibility of technical applications of Wellness IT service, and review the new value creation in the elderly care facilities. Lastly this study provides a new foundation for Wellness architecture and a service model for using Wellness IT infrastructure of the elderly care facilities.

The marine Transmission tower infrastructure erected in the SI-HWA lake is deteriorated and damaged by the various environment effect, and then, there is a possibility of going bad in the safety. The appropriate maintenance to ensure the security of the structure during life cycle is necessary. Specially the Jacket or the steel file foundation in the sea is apt to be corroded quickly. In this research, to establish life management system of 345kV Yonghung marine transmission tower structure, the actual durability research facility which can obtain the actual proof data is constructed. the maintenance guideline and procedure of the structure are established. Hereafter, there is a plan which will advance the research against the composition of the life prediction model, which is based on the data acquired from the actual durability research facility.

This paper evaluates the economic effect of the IT SoC Industrial Foundation Composition Project. The evaluation was done in three steps. The first step was to estimate the contribution effect of the fabless small and medium venture business' sales. The step includes interview with all the CEOs of the firms under the support of the Enterprise Incubation System, The second step was to apply input-output analysis and then estimate the production inducement effect. The last step was to compare the results of estimation with the costs of the project. We have concluded this project had achieved 6.3 times greater economic effect compared to the budget. The reason for the large economic effect is that the project provided various infrastructures to the small and medium venture businesses.

Opening 21th Century, all the Countries of the world has been focusing on build up the foundation of cultural infrastructure in a various way, since the awareness of importance for cultural design products has been turnover. On the other hand, our cultural crafts＇ industry has not escaped from poor working environment and lagging behind conventional product system, and yet there is no complete system for mass production. The study is collaboration with Tourism Industry Innovation Center in Kwangju University for development of cultural products of wooden crafts by using cultural resources in Kwangju area and CNC M/C which is up-to-date digital technology. It aims to make possibility of mass production and discrimination on design for wooden crafts which is based on highly skilled technical manpower and creativities, and expects to develop and merchandise global wooden cultural products.

A lot of valuable-piece of information are acquisited through ubiquitous sensor network(USN) system composed of man-made sensors. The telemetry system used for communicating to access informations between nature and human-beings monitors and estimates the status of infrastructure, utilities and natural environments to prevent hidden disasters, improving quality of life and productivity in multi-directional views. That would be the reason of USN subsistence. This paper will be a review on how to build long-term USN system. Therefore, this paper focuses on reviewing the sensor interface and the sensor network interface and its significance as the foundation stone for varying USN service profiles and showing its development example, and finally proposing a few of things to set up future-oriented USN open system.
