교양 영어 수업 제안과 학습효과 (Lesson Recommendations and Learning Effect of College English Class)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 S 대학교 교양 필수 과목 중 하나인 교양 영어의 효과적인 수업을 제안하고 학습효과에 대해 분석하고자 한다. 이 과목은 1학년 전공이 다른 학생들을 대상으로 하고 학습 목표는 일상적인 상황에서 학생들의 영어 능력, 특히 문장을 문법적 요소로 분석하여 읽기 능력을 향상시키는 데 있다. 본 논문은 코로나 시대에 교양 영어 수업을 어떻게 융합 수업 형태로 진행하여 학생들의 학습동기를 유발하고 학습효과를 낼 수 있는지 고찰해 본 것이다. 이 융합 수업의 형태는 첫째, 강의 영상, 둘째, Webex 실시간 비대면 수업, 셋째, 대면 수업이다. 이 연구에서는 실제 한 학기 동안 이루어졌던 수업 중 1차시 수업의 수업 절차를 예시로 제시하였다. 연구자는 구체적으로 수업전 수강 설문지를 조사하여 그 결과를 통해 학생들의 영어 실력과 학습자의 특성 등을 파악하여 수업을 진행하였다. 그리고 수강 후 설문지를 30개 항목으로 조사하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 구체적으로 강의 구성에 대한 만족도, 강의 영상에 대한 만족도, 대면 수업에 대한 만족도, 학생들과의 상호작용, 학습효과 등에 관한 결과를 분석하였다. 이 수업 제안은 융합 형태의 학습자 중심의 모형이다.

IMPROVING THE ORDER AND RATES OF CONVERGENCE FOR THE SUPER-HALLEY METHOD IN BANACH SPACES

  • In this study we are concerned with the problem of ap-proximating a locally unique solution of an equation on a Banach space. A semilocal convergence theorem is given for the Super-Halley method in Banach spaces. Earlier results have shown that the order of convergence is four for a certain class of operators [4] [5] [8] These results were not given in affine invariant form and made use of a real quadratic majorizing polynomial. Here we provide our re-sults in affine invariant form showing that the order of convergence is at least four. In cases that it is exactly four the rate of convergence is improved. We achieve these results by using a cubic majorizing polynomial. Some numerical examples are given to show that our error bounds are better than earlier ones.

Effect of Chemical Stabilizers in Silver Nanoparticle Suspensions on Nanotoxicity

  • Colloidal silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been commercialized as the typically stabilized form via the addition of a variety of surfactants or polymers. Herein, to examine the effects of stabilizing AgNPs in suspension, we modified the surface of bare AgNPs with four type of surfactants (NaDDBS, SDS, TW80, CTAB) and polymers (PVP, PAA, PAH, CMC). The modified AgNPs was applied to compare suspension stability and nanotoxicity test using Escherichia coli (E. coli) as a model organism. Modification of AgNPs surface using chemical stabilizer may be not related with molecular weight, but chemical structure such as ionic state and functional group of stabilizer. In this study, it is noteworthy that AgNPs modified with a cationic stabilizer (CTAB, PAH) were importantly toxic to E. coli, rather than anionic stabilizers (NaDDBS, SDS). Comparing similar anionic stabilizer, i.e., NaDDBS and SDS, the result showed that lipophilicity of chemical structure can affect on E. coli, because NaDDBS, which contains a lipophilic benzene ring, accelerated the cytotoxicity of AgNPs. Interestingly, none of the stabilizers tested, including biocompatible nonionic stabilizers (i.e., TW80 and cellulose) caused a reduction in AgNP toxicity. This showed that toxicity of AgNPs cannot be reduced using stabilizers.

수업의 질 관리 및 개선을 위한 CQI양식 연구 (A Study on CQI Form for Quality Management and Improvement of Class)

  • 본 연구는 수업의 질 관리 및 개선을 위해 A대학에서 실행되고 있는 교과목 CQI양식에 대해 살펴보았다. A대학에서는 역량기반 교육과정으로의 개편아래에 수업의 계획, 과정, 결과가 체계적으로 관리 될 수 있도록 CQI양식을 개선하였다. 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 CQI양식을 제안하였고 외부 전문가검증을 통해서 타당성을 확보하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, CQI양식 개발시 수업의 계획, 운영, 결과, 피드백 등 수업의 전 과정을 평가 및 환류 할 수 있도록 문항을 구성하였다. 둘째, 지난학기-당해학기-다음학기 이렇게 3단계로 나누어 종합분석 및 개선 계획을 작성하도록 하여 지속적인 수업의 개선 및 환류의 효과를 얻도록 하였다. 셋째, CQI작성시 수업계획서, 강의평가 결과를 연동하여 교수자의 편리성을 높였다. 넷째, 교수자에게 객관적인 결과(평가도구별 성취도 결과, 강의평가 결과)를 제공하여 이를 토대로 충분한 성찰을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 연구는 향후 교과목 CQI 개발에 시사점을 제공하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

LOCATING ROOTS OF A CERTAIN CLASS OF POLYNOMIALS

  • We introduce a special class of real recurrent polynomials $f_m$$($m{\geq}1$) of degree m+1, with positive roots $s_m$, which are decreasing as m increases. The first root $s_1$, as well as the last one denoted by $s_{\infty}$ are expressed in closed form, and enclose all $s_m$ (m > 1). This technique is also used to find weaker than before [6] sufficient convergence conditions for some popular iterative processes converging to solutions of equations.

  • The aim of this article is to introduce a new form of Kantorovich $Sz{\acute{a}}sz$-type operators involving Charlier polynomials. In this manuscript, we discuss the rate of convergence, better error estimates. Further, we investigate order of approximation in the sense of local approximation results with the help of Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness, second order modulus of continuity, Peetre's K-functional and Lipschitz class.

  • In the present paper, we aim to obtain several approximation properties of Stancu form Szász-Mirakjan-Durrmeyer operators based on Bézier basis functions with shape parameter λ ∈ [-1, 1]. We estimate some auxiliary results such as moments and central moments. Then, we obtain the order of convergence in terms of the Lipschitz-type class functions and Peetre's K-functional. Further, we prove weighted approximation theorem and also Voronovskaya-type asymptotic theorem. Finally, to see the accuracy and effectiveness of discussed operators, we present comparison of the convergence of constructed operators to certain functions with some graphical illustrations under certain parameters.

고등학교 발명 활동과 대학 특허교육 성취와의 관계 (The Relationship Between High School Invention Activities and College Patent Education Achievement)

  • As intellectual property has become an important competitive element in the industry, government-led patent education is rapidly expanding. It is important to look at whether each patent education course is organically linked to each other under a life-long patent education system from elementary school to college. This study focused on the link between high school education and college education to analyze statistically how invention activities in high school affect patent education achievement at college. Statistical analysis of a survey of students taking a basic course of intellectual property revealed no statistically significant correlation between invention experience in high school and college students' patent class total score, contrary to popular perception. These results are believed to be due to the distribution of data on the number of invention contest participations or the number of invention class participations, which does not form a normal distribution and has a relatively large skewness. Rather, the attendance to the patent class showed a relatively distinct positive linear correlation with the patent class total score, indicating that the student's attitude in class was important for the patent education achievement.

AN ERROR ANALYSIS FOR A CERTAIN CLASS OF ITERATIVE METHODS

  • We provide local convergence results in affine form for inexact Newton-like as well as quasi-Newton iterative methods in a Banach space setting. We use hypotheses on the second or on the first and mth Frechet-derivative (m≥2 an integer) of the operator involved. Our results allow a wider choice of starting points since our radius of convergence can be larger than the corresponding one given in earlier results using hypotheses on the first-Frechet-derivative only. A numerical example is provided to illustrate this fact. Our results apply when the method is, for example, a difference Newton-like or update-Newton method. Furthermore, our results have direct applications to the solution of autonomous differential equations.

  • This paper introduces a new approach to analysis of error convergence for a class of iterative learning control systems. First, a nonlinear plant is represented using a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. Then each iterative learning controller is designed for each linear plant in the T-S fuzzy model. From the view point of two-dimensional(2-D) system theory, we transform the proposed learning systems to a 2-D error equation, which is also established in the form of T-S fuzzy model. We analysis the error convergence in the sense of induced 2 L -norm, where the effects of disturbances and initial conditions on 2-D error are considered.
