  • We introduce the Energy-Based Blind Separating (EBS) algorithm for extremely fast separation of mixed speech signals without loss of quality, which is performed in two stages: iterative-form separation and closed-form separation. This algorithm significantly improves the separation speed simply due to incorporating only some specific frequency bins into computations. Simulation results show that, on average, the proposed algorithm is 43 times faster than the independent component analysis (ICA) for speech signals, while preserving the separation quality. Also, it outperforms the fast independent component analysis (FastICA), the joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (JADE), and the second-order blind identification (SOBI) algorithm in terms of separation quality.

The CRT consists of an electron gun, electrostatic or magnetic fields to direct the electron beam, and a phosphor screen. When the electron beam strikes the phosphor screen, the phosphor generates light. The phosphor screen has formed by precipitation method, electro-forming and centrifuge method. The high quality product was achieved by electro-forming or centrifuge method. Now applying method is electro-forming used with phosphor and Eh(isopropyl alcohol). Now applying method has been much consumption of raw-material, dirty working environment, dangerous fire and require of high cost. New method to form phosphor surface of monochrome is required to improve this matter. This study was developed novel method to form the phosphor surface by heat-transfer method. • This paper describes a visual object detection approach utilizing ensemble based machine learning. Object detection methods employing 1D features have the benefit of fast calculation speed. However, for real image with complex background, detection accuracy and performance are degraded. In this paper, we propose an ensemble learning algorithm that combines a 1D feature classifier and 2D DNF (Disjunctive Normal Form) classifier to improve the object detection performance in a single input image. Also, to improve the computing efficiency and accuracy, we propose a feature selecting method to reduce the computing time and ensemble algorithm by combining the 1D features and 2D DNF features. In the verification experiments, we selected the Haar-like feature as the 1D image descriptor, and demonstrated the performance of the algorithm on a few datasets such as face and vehicle.

  • Alternate reality games (ARGs) are a game genre with characteristics that can lead to changes in current integrated media environments. While technical combinations are being pursued as diverse media are utilized based on formative aspects, the representative, narrative combination of the real and the virtual is a convergent factor in narrative structures. Through perspectives that perceive transmedia storytelling-which has brought convergence to communication among gamers-as having a structure and utility that can outclass previous game forms, this study focuses on ARGs, which have features that converge reality and virtual reality. Further, the study reveals the structure and utility of that system. This study sheds light convergent storytelling, which is in demand in the transmedia age, and which will serve as a significant investigation with regard to social perceptions of future games and changes in game form.

  • In this paper, we present a performance analysis of large-scale multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems for wireless backhaul networks. We focus on fully connected N nodes in a wireless meshed and multi-hop network topology. We also consider a large number of antennas at both the receiver and transmitter. We investigate the transmission schemes to support fully connected N nodes for half-duplex and full-duplex transmission, analyze the achievable ergodic sum rate among N nodes, and propose a closed-form expression of the achievable ergodic sum rate for each scheme. Furthermore, we present numerical evaluation results and compare the resuts with closed-form expressions.

  • The stage space in theatre for the performance of a play requires two aspects of the physical space for a play and the image as the background or the theme of a play. This research focuses on the scene design that creates the background or the theme of a play and communicates it to the audience. The scene design is composed of various design elements of space and objects as the properties of a play. Design elements and the objects are the design languages in various form; plane, three-dimensional, multi-dimensional form. These design language have the significant meaning as a sign like human language. The scene design is completed with rhetorical expression for communication in theatre. This research defines the category of meaning that design elements of scene design can create and the rhetorical expression of the scene design language. King Lear directed by Robert G. Anderson was analyzed with the category of design elements as a sign and the pattern of the rhetorical expression. The scene design for a play is completed effectively by the rhetorical expression of design elements as the design language for communication with the audience in theatre.

  • Real-time(RT) object-oriented(OO) distributed computing is a form of RT distributed computing realized with a distributed computer system structured in the form of an object network. Several approached proposed in recent years for extending the conventional object structuring scheme to suit RT applications, are briefly reviewed. Then the approach named the TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object) structuring scheme was formulated with the goal of instigating a quantum productivity jump in the design of distributed time triggered simulation. The TMO scheme is intended to facilitate the pursuit of a new paradigm in designing distributed time triggered simulation which is to realize real-time computing with a common and general design style that does not alienate the main-stream computing industry and yet to allow system engineers to confidently produce certifiable distributed time triggered simulation for safety-critical applications. The TMO structuring scheme is a syntactically simple but semantically powerful extension of the conventional object structuring approached and as such, its support tools can be based on various well-established OO programming languages such as C++ and on ubiquitous commercial RT operating system kernels. The Scheme enables a great reduction of the designers efforts in guaranteeing timely service capabilities of application systems

  • As our lifestyles have changed due to rapid industrialization and urbanization, new social and communication problems have been caused and there have been lots of discussion on regional communication. For communities to become alternatives with realistic meanings in this changed society, considerations on social and spatial conditions are needed. Therefore, public space which works as a device of physical environment for activation of communities needs more active changes which encourages social communication. In respect to the activation of communities, the following suggestions are given: First, physical devices of a urban plaza should be arranged to support various programs presented along with consideration of human behaviors as users. Second, fundamental facilities of the plaza should accommodate various activities through connections with programs and commercial space. Third, when cultural and historical characteristics of the community are understood, the plaza can form regionality and symbolism through artistic representation. And users can form the identity of community. Fourth, transportation facilities should be separated from or coexist with areas of passengers and the plaza should have its own identity through symbolic sculptures.

  • In this paper, the downlink performance of multi-cell distributed antenna systems (DAS) with a single user in each cell is investigated. Assuming the channel state information is available at the transmitter, four transmission modes are formulated as combinations of remote antenna units (RAUs) selection and cooperative transmission, namely, non-cooperative transmission without RAU selection (NCT), cooperative transmission without RAU selection (CT), non-cooperative transmission with RAU selection (NCT_RAUS), and cooperative transmission with RAU selection (CT_RAUS). By using probability theory, the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of a user's signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) and the system ergodic capacity under the above four modes are determined, and their closed-form expressions are obtained. Furthermore, the system energy efficiency (EE) is studied by introducing a realistic power consumption model of DAS. An expression for determining EE is formulated, and the closed-form tradeoff relationship between spectral efficiency (SE) and EE is derived as well. Simulation results demonstrate their consistency with the theoretical analysis and reveal the factors constraining system EE, which provide a scientific basis for future design and optimization of DAS.
