  • H. $W\"{o}lfflin's$ methodology created viewpoint of art history which is an essential factor of art, and proposed formal analysis as an academic methodology specific to art history. H. $W\"{o}lfflin's$ expressed the see-form a as the five pair concepts which are summarized by 'linear-painterly' 'the plane-the deep'. 'closed form-open form', 'multiplicity-unity', 'absolute clarity-relative clarity'. His methodology is not only in the field of art and architecture but also clothing because during the same period have a relative tendency of thought, culture, politics and economics each other. As the result of this study were as follows. Renaissance of 16 century, the style of dress was enormous and dignified by body support outfit, hard puffs, slashes, padding and expansive jewels. It make appearance of man and woman absolute clarity because Classicism styles of aesthetic consciousness is geometrically perfect form and symmetry and restrained harmony, magnificent. Baroque of 17 century, the style of dress was vigorous mobility and subtle balance by abundant and free silhouette, soft collar, magnificent ribbon loop and tassel without body support outfit. It make appearance of man and woman comfortable and natural because Baroque styles of aesthetic consciousness is extraordinary degree of originality and creativity that was evident in the devising of new styled.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the patterns of commercial Cheollik dresses by size analysis and wearing evaluation. Six kinds of commercial Cheollik dress patterns distributed on the market were selected and classified into two types group, A type group(A-1, A-2, A-3) consisting of flat type sleeve pattern and B type group(B-1, B-2, B-3) consisting of three-dimensional type sleeve pattern depending on the sleeve type. The size of the Cheollik dress pattern was analyzed, and wearing evaluations of the appearance, movability were carried out. Cheollik dress pattern was made in various size and many patterns were produced in the form of omission of components such as seop. It should be based on the understanding of the form and composition of the traditional Cheollik for pattern development. As a result of the wearing evaluation, A-2 showed the highest evaluation in the appearance and movability evaluations in type A. B-2 was the highest evaluation in appearance evaluation in type B. But in the evaluation of the movability, B-2 received the lowest evaluation because of little allowance. Therefore, the allowance in clothes should be considered enough for the movability. The result of this study can be provided as a basic data for the development of Cheollik dress pattern reflecting modern trend and the traditional beauty.

  • It takes only few seconds to find an artifact that has anthropomorphic form. There are numerous examples illustrating human's shape in daily life products. Usage of anthropomorphic form has been a basic design strategy especially when industrial designers design intelligent service robots because most of robot features were basically from human. Therefore, it's necessary to use anthropomorphic form not only in appearance design but also in interaction design. To use anthropomorphic form effectively, it needs to measure how much the artifact is similar to human, and then to evaluate whether the usage of anthropomorphic form fits to the artifact. This study's goal was to set up an evaluation standard for anthropomorphism for robot design. We suggest that there are three criteria for the evaluation standard. Those are 'anthropomorphic form in appearance', 'anthropomorphic form in Human-Robot Interaction', and 'accordance in two former criteria'. We expect that when designers put an evaluation step of anthropomophism in their design process of robots, robots might become more preferred by users, and easier to understand how to interact with.

  • In turning the chip may be produced in the form of continuous chip or discontinuous one. Continuous chips produced at high speed machining may hit the newly cut workpiece surface and adversely affect the appearance of the surface finish and may interfere with tool and sometimes induce tool fracture. In this study relationship between AE signal and chip form was experimentally investigated, The experimental results show that types of chip form are possible to be classified from the AE signal using fuzzy logic.

  • This study investigated the appearance management aspects of middle-aged male CEO's based on Bourdieu's class theory. We conducted in-depth interviews with male CEOs in their 40s and 50s to understand the characteristics of appearance management in terms of economic, cultural and social capital. We found that they acquire educational capital based on their parents' economic capital and form their own cultural capital as adults. They had the characteristics of Petit Brujois, which aimed for a higher class. The characteristics of differentiation based on appearance management identified three results came from solidifying one's class position: clothing management, diversifying and upgrading appearance management, and pursuing their own ideal image. The influence of social network and cultural capital was also observed in appearance management. This study explored the characteristics of discriminatory appearance management through an in-depth study of middle-aged male CEOs as well as contributed to understanding the context of capital and appearance management by applying Bourdieu's class theory. In addition, this study provides basic data that can be referred to a design and marketing direction for the men's clothing market by providing information on male consumers with high purchasing power.

  • According to Scythian tradition, many burials contained numerous artifacts, from weapons and harness to everyday objects and a multiplicity of personal adornments. Most valuable of all is the Scythian Gold often lavishly decorated with precious stones. The detailed images on these pieces make it possible for us to picture the appearance of the Scythians, their clothes and weapons. Scythian Gold Plaques were attached to the fabric in such a way that when they moved with each movement of the wearer it created what must have been a dazzling sight in bright daylight. Scythian Gold Plaques were divided into several types according to the shape, animal style(curved beast shape, profile shape, head reversed over its back shape), round shape, quadrilateral form, star shape, flower shape, crescent shape, bundle shape, human appearance. Through the antique tombs bequests of Three Kingdom States hereby describe the original forms of their source of Baekje gold plaque were influenced by Scythe style. Like nearly all Scythian ornaments, such gold pieces were designed to maximize various magical powers and to signify the owner's importance relative to his fellow tribesmen.

  • Seowon is an educational institution of Neo-Confucianism in the Joseon Dynasty and is distributed throughout the country. Such a Seowon has a certain form in the composition and arrangement of buildings. Korean Seowon were recognized as excellent for localization by transforming them according to the local environment. Therefore, it was registered as a World Heritage Site. Museongseowon is located in the village differently from the 8 registered Seowons. However, data and research on the location setting and architectural composition of MuseongSeowon are insignificant, so related research is needed. Therefore, in this study, the appearance of the period when MuseongSeowon was equipped with architectural formality was investigated. This study compared the appearance of MuseongSeowon in Chilkwong-do drawn in 1910 and the present appearance, focusing on the Ganghak area. As a result, the architectural composition of the Seowon was similar to the present appearance after the revision of the Gangdang area in Chilkwong-do. Therefore, the present architectural composition of the Seowon appears to be the same as before 1900. In addition, the location and appearance of Heunghakjae and Myeonamsa, which were currently lost in the Gangsujae area, were partially derived. It seems that seowon played a central role in the village even after 1910. Also, since it is located in the village, the building seems to have a flexible spatial composition.

  • In the last decade, Korean culture has progressively facilitated the assimilation of appearance-related norms established by modern Korean society among young generations in Vietnam. Of note, Vietnamese consumers residing in Korea, under the influence of diverse sociocultural factors, are aligning themselves with an ideal standard of Korean beauty through cultural adaptation. This study explores how Vietnamese students internalize Korean beauty standards and the resultant negative behavioral reactions. We investigated the effects of sociocultural pressures (media, in-group, and out-group pressure) on risky appearance management and irrational purchase behavior by mediating sociocultural internalization toward appearance. We tested how the mechanism underlying these variables differs based on how long one has resided in Korea. A total of 213 female participants were surveyed online. The research model was tested using structural equation modeling through AMOS 22.0. The findings show that media and out-group pressure significantly increased sociocultural internalization, which led to consumer behavior in the form of risky appearance management and irrational purchases. The influence of internalization on consumption behavior was stronger for short-term residents of Korea. This study contributes to the literature on acculturation by investigating how foreign consumers accept the host country's ideal beauty standards.
