Analysis of Ping Agent based on FIPA-OS and Design of Dialogue Agent Module in M2M Environment (M2M 환경에서 FIPA-OS 를 사용하는 Ping Agent 분석 및 이를 통한 Dialogue Agent 모듈 설계)

  • In the future, a machine-tool will be more improved in the form of a knowledge evolution based device. In order to develop the knowledge evolution based machine-tool, this paper proposes the structure of knowledge evolution and the scheme of a dialogue agent among agent-based modules such as a sensory module, a dialogue module, and an expert system. The dialogue agent has a role of interfacing with another machine for cooperation. To design of the dialogue agent module in M2M(Machine To Machine) environment, FIPA-OS and ping agent based on FIPA-OS are analyzed in this study. Through this, it is expected that the dialogue agent module can be more efficiently designed and the knowledge evolution based machine-tool can be hereafter more easily implemented.

A Finite Element Model for Predicting the Microstructural Evolution in Hot Rolling (열간압연시 미세조직 예측을 위한 유한요소 모델)

  • A full three-dimensional thermo-coupled rigid-viscoplastic finite element method and the currently developed microstructural evolution system which includes semi-empirical equations suggested by different research groups were used together to form an integrated system of process and micro- structure simulation of hot rolling. The distribution and time histroy of the momechanical variables such as temperature, strain, strain rate, and time during pass and between passes were obtained from the finite element analysis of multipass hot rolling processes. The distribution of metallurgical variables were calculated on the basis of instantaneous thermomechanical data. For the verification of this method the evolution of microstructure in plate rolling and shape rolling was simulated and their results were compared with the data available in the literature. Consequently, this approach makes it possible to describe the realistic evolution of microstructure by avoiding the use of erroneous average value and can be used in CAE of multipass hot rolling.

  • Recently, the conventional concept of a machine-tool in manufacturing systems is changing from the target of integration to the autonomous manufacturing device based on a knowledge evolution. Subsequently, a machine-tool has been the subject of a cooperation through an advanced environment where an open architecture controller, high speed network and internet technology are contained In the future, a machine-tool will be more improved in the form of a knowledge evolution based device.   • In this paper, we approach the problem of image filter design automation using a kind of intrinsic evolvable hardware architecture. For the purpose of implementing the intrinsic evolution process in a common FPGA chip and evolving a complicated digital circuit system-image filter, the design automation system employs the reconfigurable circuit architecture as the reconfigurable component of the EHW. The reconfigurable circuit architecture is inspired by the Cartesian Genetic Programming and the functional level evolution. To increase the speed of the hardware evolution, the whole evolvable hardware system which consists of evolution algorithm unit, fitness value calculation unit and reconfigurable unit are implemented by a commercial FPGA chip. The Celoxica RC1000 card which is fitted with a Xilinx Virtex xcv2000E FPGA chip is employed as the experiment platform. As the result, we conclude the terms of the synthesis report of the image filter design automation system and hardware evolution speed in the Celoxica RC1000 card. The evolved image filter is also compared with the conventional image filter form the point of filtered image quality.

  • Through the theoretical study on Sa-sang constitutional medicine from a evolutionary point of view, the result was obtained as follows. 1. The system of Sa-Sim-Sin-Mul(事心身物) in Sa-sang constitutional medicine is similar to the theory of evolution of Teilhard de Chardin. 2. The concept of Yin and Yang in Sa-sang constitutional medicine can be set up by the demand and necessity in the progress of evolution and the time of the differentiation of functions. 3. The Sung-Jung(性情) of each Sa-sang constitution can be explained as the strategy and form for survival. 4. The theory of physiology, pathology and therapy in Sa-sang constitutional medicine can be hypothesized by the evolutionary standards which are related with the thermo-metabolism and hematopoietic-immune system.

Optimal laminate sequence of thin-walled composite beams of generic section using evolution strategies

  • A problem formulation and solution methodology for design optimization of laminated thin-walled composite beams of generic section is presented. Objective functions and constraint equations are given in the form of beam stiffness. For two different problems one for open section and the other for closed section, the objective function considered is bending stiffness about x-axis. Depending upon the case, one can consider bending, torsional and axial stiffnesses. The different search and optimization algorithm, known as Evolution Strategies (ES) has been applied to find the optimal fibre orientation of composite laminates. A multi-level optimization approach is also implemented by narrowing down the size of search space for individual design variables in each successive level of optimization process. The numerical results presented demonstrate the computational advantage of the proposed method "Evolution strategies" which become pronounced to solve optimization of thin-walled composite beams of generic section.

  • Variable structure control law is well known to be a robust control algorithm and evolution strategy is used as an effective search algorithm in optimization problems. In this paper, we propose a variable structure controller with time-varying switching surface. We calculate the maximum value of seitching surface gradient that is of the 3rd order polynomial form. Evolution strategy is used to optimize the parameters of the switching surface gradient. Finally, the proposed method is applied to position tracking control for BLDC motor. Experimental results show that the proposed method is more useful than the conventional variable structure controller.

  • For the effective operation of manufacturing system, FMS(Flexible Manufacturing System) and CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing) system are developed. In these systems, a machine tool is the target of integration in last 3 decades. In nowadays, the conventional concept of machine tools is changing to the autonomous manufacturing device based on knowledge-evolution through applying advanced information technology in which open architecture controller, high speed network and internet technology are contained. An analysis of strand map for instructional objectives on the 7th curriculum in elementary and secondary biology (제 7차 교육과정의 초.중등 생물 수업 목표의 연계성 지도 분석)

  • One of the most important objectives in science education is to develop students' science literacy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relevance between biology instructional objectives in the 7th curriculum taught in elementary and secondary schools. For this study, 7 major parts in each grade were analyzed including cell, the form and function of plants, the form and function of animals, genetics, diversity, evolution, ecology, and environment. The strand map of instructional objectives is completed that represents the relation between the objectives. The summary of the results from this study is as follows. First, the concept about cells is not fully covered in lower grades including elementary schools. While the concept of energy metabolism is repeatedly covered, there is no concept of energy covered in learning the concept of energy metabolism in elementary schools. Second, the textbooks in elementary and middle schools have main concepts about the form and function of plants while those in high schools don't. The concept related to the part of the form and function of animals is repeatedly involved in the curriculum throughout the elementary, middle, and high schools. Third, the concepts such as genetics and evolution are involved in higher grades since these concepts are abstract ones. The part of genetics and evolution as well as diversity has no connection between grades in schools, so the development of "notion between" is necessary to relate these concepts with each other. Fourth, the 4 parts of diversity, ecology and environment, evolution, and the form and function of plants are covered in limited grade levels. The results of the relevance of gene in lesson goals will play an important rein as the primary material in developing the connection between textbooks in which lesson goals are closely related to each other throughout all grade levels in elementary, middle and high schools.
