This study aims to investigate the effects of foreign students' entrepreneurship on start-up recognition and intention. Due to the expanded policy of attracting foreign students with current Korean wave, it has rapidly increased the number of foreign students in Korea. The number of foreign students in Korea has increased from 50,000 up to 100,000 in 2012. Approximately half of number was resided in Seoul capital, surrounding satellite cities and followed by Kyeongsang, Chungcheong and Jeolla province regions. In this study, we examined the correlation of entrepreneurship with start-up recognition and intention of foreign students living in Daejeon city. The research model was constructed with entrepreneurship and start-up intention as independent and dependent variable, respectively, and start-up recognition as a moderating variable. Furthermore, the entrepreneurship of foreign students as independent variable contains innovativeness, pro-activeness, risk-taking and social responsibility. In the survey, we collected 119 responding foreign students belonging to KAIST, Chungnam National University and Hanbat National University and analyzed the correlations of these variables with 116 significant answers. To validate the hypotheses, linear regression analysis tool in SPSS program was used. As a result of the survey, entrepreneurship components such as innovativeness, pro-activeness, risk-taking and social responsibility affected start-up intention positively. In addition, start-up recognition as a moderating variable affected positively between entrepreneurship and start-up intention. However, it has the limitation to generalize the overall correlation of entrepreneurship with start-up recognition and intention for foreign students living in Korea because the survey was only performed in restricted Daejeon city area. Nonetheless, this study can be useful for understanding the foreign students's trait for entrepreneurship and planning the adequate entrepreneurship education.
The purpose of this paper is to discover how the use of digital applications can affect students' attitudes toward positive classroom participation and performance in learning a foreign language. Participants of this study were 128 students who took a foreign language class at a high school in central Korea. To find out students' perceptions and attitudes toward the effect of using a digital application for their foreign language study, online questionnaire and focus-group interview were conducted. Our research findings revealed that these students could engage in active language learning and experience learning improvement while studying a foreign language with digital applications. The improvement was possible by creating more interactive activities and quizzes. In addition, the digital application provided students immediate feedback. It gave students and teachers various motivations beyond the traditional 'chalk and talk' format of text-only-classes. This study provides an overview of the usefulness of digital application. In addition, it provides understanding for students' perceptions and involvement using digital application in a foreign language classroom.
The purpose of this study was to survey the perception and preference for Korean food among Chinese students residing in Korea (Chinese foreign students, N=69) and China (Chinese-locals, N=98). A total of 76.8% of Chinese foreign students and 70.4% of Chinese-locals had ever eaten Korean food in China before visiting Korea, and motivation to try Korean food at first was 'easy access to Korean food restaurants' (Chinese foreign students 38.6%, Chinese-locals 44.9%). The most important factors in selecting Korean food were 'taste' and 'price' (Chinese foreign students 72.7% and 18.2%, Chinese-locals 59.1% and 22.7%, respectively), and needed improvements for Korean food were 'spicy and salty taste' and 'nutritional aspect' (Chinese foreign students 54.5% and 25.8%, Chinese-locals 33.3% and 36.4%, p<0.05). The scores for perception of Korean food were significantly lower in Chinese-locals (2.99) than in Chinese foreign students (3.31)(p<0.001). Chinese foreign students preferred Bulgogi (20.5%), Neobiani (20.1%), and Galbijjim (17.9%), whereas Chinese-locals preferred Bulgogi (16.1%), Gimbap (16.1%), and Samgyetang (15.2%) (p<0.001). The most preferred condiment was 'Garlic' (18.0%) in Chinese foreign students, and 'Red pepper powder' (16.4%) in Chinese-locals. The results of the study can be used as a foundation to prepare a globalization strategy for Korean Food.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of self-esteem on the relationship between academic stress and depression in foreign students in Korea. Methods: The subjects of this study were 343 foreign students enrolled in universities and graduate schools in Daegu and Gyeongbuk area, and data were collected by conducting a questionnaire survey using the internet. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and PROCESS macro Model No 4. Results: The results were as follows. First, academic stress of foreign students increased the level of depression statistically significantly. Second, academic stress significantly reduced the self-esteem of foreign students. Third, the self-esteem of foreign students partially mediated the effect of academic stress on depression (p<0.05). In other words, it suggests that academic stress lowered self-esteem, and that the lowered self-esteem had an effect on the increase in depression. Conclusions: These results suggest that an intervention program to reduce academic stress is needed as a countermeasure for the alleviation and prevention of depression in foreign students, and that strategies for improving self-esteem should be considered as important.

In the correlation analysis, individual characteristics related to the safety awareness of foreign workers were nationality, status of stay(visa types), place of work, educational background, and Korean proficiency while international students were relevant with only the types of residence. There were significant differences in the safety awareness of foreign workers in nationality, status of stay(visa types), region of residence, educational background, place of work, and Korean proficiency. It was analyzed that nationality and status of stay had a negative (-) effect, and the place of work and Korean proficiency had a positive (+) effect. In the case of international students, it was analyzed that only the types of residence had a negative (-) effect on safety awareness.

Results: The linguistic oral health literacy awareness score was doubly lower in foreign students $20.5{\pm}22.4%$ than Korean students $53.9{\pm}18.4%$ (p<0.05), three words were not statistically significant with less than 10% of all the foreign and Korean students.
