전달함수를 이용한 LCVA의 설계변수 분석 (Design Parameter Identification Using Transfer Function of Liquid Column Vibration Absorber (LCVA))

  • 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 비선형성을 포함하는 액체기둥진동흡진기(LCVA)의 감쇠항에 대한 등가선형화된 운동방정식을 바탕으로하여 가진입력인 진동대 가속도와 출력인 제어력의 관계인 전달함수를 해석적인 식으로 규명하는 것이다. 둘째, LCVA의 주요설계변수인 수직기둥과 수평기둥의 단면적비의 변화에 따른 진동특성분석이다. 셋째, 동조의 수단으로 이용되는 수직기둥 액체의 높이를 변화시켜 진동특성을 분석하는 것이다. LCVA를 진동대 위에 설치하고 가진하여 제어력을 측정하여 실험 전달함수를 구하였다. 이것을 해석적인 전달함수와 비교 및 최적화작업을 수행하여 LCVA의 진동특성변수에 영향을 미치는 고유진동수, 감쇠비 및 질량비 등을 파악하였다. 실험결과, 액체 수위 및 단면적비의 변화에 따라 감쇠비 및 참여질량비의 특성이 변화하였다. 수직기둥과 수평기둥이 교차하는 엘보우에서 액체의 흐름 변화로 인하여, LCVA 실험체의 수직기둥 단면적이 작아질수록 감쇠비와 참여질량비가 증가하였다.

  • The goals and strategies of welfare-to-work (WTW) policies have been sources of contentious political debate. In the United States, despite 20 years of welfare reform, there remain important differences of opinion regarding how best to design and deliver WTW programs. The proliferation of state and local WTW experiments has led to the identification of two ideal-types of WTW programs: the Labor Force Attachment and Human Capital Development models. Most of the recent policy debate about WTW in America has focused on the relative merits and performance of LFA and HCD. While the Primary goal of the LFA model is for welfare recipients to achieve a rapid transition into work, the HCD model seeks to improve the long-term employability of welfare dependents through education and skill development. LFA policies tend to be strongly outcome-oriented and generally can yield quick results. Their "any job is a good job" philosophy has proved attractive to policy-makers who are anxious to see concrete results in a short-term period. In contrast, the HCD policies do not simply dump welfare dependents at the bottom of the labor market, but aim to secure relatively stable and well-paid jobs. However, these strengths are offset by several practical weaknesses including high unit costs and long-term investment in human capital. In recent years, LFA policies have been increasingly favored by both policy officials and politicians in the United States. The introduction of Temporaray Assistance to Needy Families of 1996 has been accelerating the trend. What is going to happen to welfare recipients? This simple shift to the LFA model, however, will only see an alarming increase of working poor in a near future.

  • NVH engineering has become a hot issue due to radical technology changes and development in automotive industry since customers' expectations and needs for their vehicle is taken to a higher level. However, the source identification and quantification of the road noise within a vehicle is still not at the level where it needs to be to meet their expectations due to its' complex transfer path and difficulties in path optimization. The primary focus of this research is on direct force obtaining method at suspension hard points using suspension test rig. Directly obtained forces at suspension to body mounting points are critical and crucial for determining the effects of design changes of the suspension has on road noise performance. Direct force obtaining method has its limitation in sensor installation within an actual vehicle therefore, many has been indirectly calculating forces using full matrix inversion method or dynamic stiffness method. In this study, to circumvent this limitation, a suspension rig is used. Then, the suspension rig is verified through a comparative analysis of its dynamic behavior between the actual vehicle by cleat test on chassis dynamometer.

기존 전술 무전기를 이용한 전술 데이터 통신 성능 실험 (The Performance Experiments on the Tactical Data Communication over the Legacy Radio Systems)

  • The military has been putting great efforts into applying data communication on existing voice communication systems being used in NCW(Network Centric Warfare). Data communication will be an effective choice in one of many effort to yield a minimum kill chain, comparing to legacy voice communications, when tactical units conduct their missions. However, the required budget will be enormous, in case of the replacement of a lot of legacy communication systems with new one. As a cost-effective alternative, the tactical data communication systems using the conventional radio systems instead of the development of new radio systems has been proposed. It is mandatory, though, to ensure QoS while maintaining data communication by making use of legacy radio systems already in use. This paper focuses on the performance issues experimented and analyzed for tactical data communication through the legacy radio systems as the first step towards guaranteed QoS. We have conducted various experiments such as the transmission error rate on certain tactical messages, performance evaluation of redundant transfers, the relationship between the transmission frame size and rate of error, the identification of error points in the transmission frame, and techniques to reduce the errors in both hopping and non-hopping modes. As a result of the performance experiments, The adaptive communication module which decides the redundant transmission or the Forward Error Correction(FEC) technique by analyzing channel status and current transmission status(hopping/non-hopping) of the legacy radio should be designed. the FEC technique in non-hopping, and the redundant transmission technique in hopping mode was recommended from the result of experiment with the frame size is 20bytes in non-hopping and 10Bytes frame size in hopping mode.

  • All of the military aircrafts in Korea Air Force are administered and operated together in the same system regardless of whether they are equipped with the data communication capability or not. The absence of the data communication capability in some of the aircrafts might increase whole kill chain hour at the point of the Network Centric Warfare achievement. Network synergy effects cannot also be desired if the section which is not connected to the network influences to the whole tactical network. Equipping aircrafts with the data communication capability could be done by upgrading the aircrafts, but resulting in high costs and long updating time. This paper is a research about the design and implementation of the UMPC based Data Link System to aircrafts that do not have the data communication capability. The proposed system grafts the UHF-based wireless modem technology and the aircraft flight mission support software onto the off-the-shelf UMPC and GPS system. The employed UHF radio equipment allows communicating tactic data with another aircrafts on the air, the ground control point, and even the Tactical Air Control Party(TACP) control vehicle that achieve missions with aircrafts. It thereby increases such capabilities as navigation aid, situation awareness, quick target identification and attack. We also applied Closed Air Support(CAS) scenarios, which is very close to the real environment, to the experiments of the proposed system. The experimental results show that the proposed system could support the data communication capability effectively and the flight mission at low costs of money and time.

심리음향의 음질요소를 이용한 레이저 프린터 급지 이음 평가 및 부품 조합 최적화 (Identification of Pick up Sound for Laser printers Based on Psychoacoustic Parameters)

  • This paper identifies a cause of pick up noise in a laser printer and a relationship between pick up noise and major components related to pick up noise. A pick up sound is affected by many components such as spring force, spring constant, and friction coefficient. Objective evaluation for the pick up sound is difficult because of back ground sound such as operating sound. Especially, a sound between a friction pad and a paper in the process of printing has become an essential issue in an aspect of quality evaluation. However the existing criteria for determining the above sound have solely relied on human's subjective judgments; which highlights the requirement to objectify these criteria. In this paper, the standard of existing pick up noise is established by finding the tonality, which is a psychoacoustic parameter, of noticeable limit sound level. Based on the findings of the method, the study has found factors which cause pick up noise and suggests the substitution of following components of printers such as spring constants, spring force, and the quality of friction pads. As a result, it is confirmed that the proposed pick up noise index has usefulness to classify whether existence of pick up noise with an objective evaluation and not to occur the noise based on design optimized combination of laser printer components.

난수 발생기를 이용한 이중화 구조의 안전한 비밀번호 생성 기법 (Two layered Secure Password Generation with Random Number Generator)

  • 인터넷 서비스의 발전은 사용자가 언제어디서나 업무 처리가 가능한 인터넷 뱅킹 서비스를 가능하게 하였다. 하지만 인터넷을 통한 서비스 접근은 공격자에게 쉽게 사용자의 비밀정보가 노출될 수 있는 보안 취약점을 가지고 있다. 이를 방지하기 위해 현재 서비스 제공업체에서는 초기에 사용자의 아이디와 비밀번호를 이용하여 사용자를 인증하는 절차를 수행하게 된다. 하지만 현재 많은 사용자들이 짧고 단순한 비밀번호를 사용하며 주기적으로 비밀번호를 변경하지 않아 공격자의 전수 조사 공격에 의해 사용자의 비밀번호가 쉽게 노출될 수 있는 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 사용자의 비밀번호를 그대로 사용하지만 비밀번호가 지속적으로 적합한 보안 강도를 가지도록 실제 비밀번호를 보완해 주는 기법을 제안한다. 해당 기법은 추가적인 비밀정보를 이용하여 실제 비밀번호를 대체할 수 있도록 하며 주기적으로 비밀번호를 사용자의 실제 비밀번호에 대한 변경 없이 교체할 수 있다.

측정 가속도 증분을 사용한 비선형 SI 기법의 개발 (Development of a Nonlinear SI Scheme using Measured Acceleration Increment)

  • 구조물의 손상 진단을 위해 측정 가속도 데이터를 사용한 비선형 시간영역 SI 알고리듬을 개발하였다. 구조물의 비선형 거동을 고려하기 위하여 측정 가속도 증분과 해석에 의한 가속도 증분의 차이로 출력오차를 정의하고, 구속 비선형 최적화 문제를 풀어 최적 구조변수를 구하였다. 개발된 알고리듬은 시간에 따라 변하는 강성도와 감쇠 변수를 추정하도록 하였다. 구조물의 비선형 거동에 의한 복원력은 추정된 시간에 따라 변하는 구조변수와 Newmark-$\beta$법으로 계산한 변위를 사용하여 복원하였으며, 복원 과정에서 비탄성 거동에 대한 어떤 모델도 사전에 설정하지 않았다. 개발한 알고리듬에서는 측정오차와 공간 및 상태에 대한 불완전 측정의 경우를 고려하였다. 개발한 알고리듬을 검증하기 위하여 3층 전단건물에 대한 수치 모의시험과 실내 모형실험을 통한 연구를 수행하였다.

기계식 구동기를 이용한 선박진동의 능동제어장치 개발 (A Study to Develop an Active Control System of Ship Vibration Using a Mechanical Actuator)

  • 동작중에 힘의 크기를 조절할 수 있는 기계식 구동기를 이용하여 주기관 회전수의 특정차수 진동을 능동제어하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 시스템에 적용된 제어 알고리즘은 주기관과 구동기의 위상차에 따른 진동크기 변화를 이용하여 초기 작동시의 구동기 최적 위상 및 힘을 결정하는 알고리즘과 주기관 회전속도의 변화를 추종하여 지속적으로 최적제어를 수행하는 알고리즘으로 구성되어 있다. 개발된 알고리즘은 제어대상 구조계에 대한 동특성 파악이 필요없을 뿐만 아니라 제어 중에도 구조계의 변화를 추종하여 제어할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 구동기 성능과 제어 알고리즘의 검증을 위하여 30만톤급 유조선과 2,200 TEU 콘테이너 운반선의 선체 상부구조 진동제어시험을 수행한 결과 본 제어시스템은 주기관의 전 회전속도구간에서 제어치수 성분의 선체 상부구조진동을 제어전 진동의 1/2∼1/6 수준으로 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Assessment of technological characteristics and microbiological quality of marinated turkey meat with the use of dairy products and lemon juice

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of marinating turkey meat with buttermilk and acid whey on the technological traits and microbiological quality of the product. Methods: Slices of turkey meat muscles were marinated for 12 hours in buttermilk (n = 30), acid whey (n = 30) and comparatively, in lemon juice (n = 30). The control group (n = 30) consisted of unmarinated slices of turkey breast muscles. Physical parameters (pH, water holding capacity, colour L*a*b*, shear force, weight loss) were assessed and quantitative and qualitative microbiological evaluation of raw and roasted products was performed. The microbiological parameters were determined as the total viable counts of mesophilic aerobic bacteria, of the Enterobacteriaceae family, and Pseudomonas spp. Bacterial identification was performed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry. Results: Marinating turkey meat in buttermilk and whey compared to marinating in lemon juice and the control sample resulted in a higher (p<0.05) degree of yellow color saturation (b*) and a reduction (p<0.05) in the number of mesophilic aerobic bacteria, Pseudomonas spp. and Enterobacteriaceae family as well as the number of identified mesophilic aerobic bacteria in both raw and roasted samples. The lowest (p<0.05) shear force values were found in products marinated in whey. Conclusion: The use of buttermilk and acid whey as a marinade for meat increases the microbiological safety of the product compared to marinating in lemon juice, while maintaining good technological features of the product.
