DENSITY DEPENDENT MORTALITY OF INTERMEDIATE PREDATOR CONTROLS CHAOS-CONCLUSION DRAWN FROM A TRI-TROPHIC FOOD CHAIN

  • The paper explores a tri-trophic food chain model with density dependent mortality of intermediate predator. To analyze this aspect, we have worked out the local stability of different equilibrium points. We have also derived the conditions for global stability of interior equilibrium point and conditions for persistence of model system. To observe the global behaviour of the system, we performed extensive numerical simulations. Our simulation results reveal that chaotic dynamics is produced for increasing value of half-saturation constant. We have also observed trajectory motions around different equilibrium points. It is noticed that chaotic dynamics has been controlled by increasing value of density dependent mortality parameter. So, we conclude that the density dependent mortality parameter can be used to control chaotic dynamics. We also applied basic tools of nonlinear dynamics such as Poincare section and Lyapunov exponent to investigate chaotic behaviour of the system.

  • Climate changes from global warming and reduction in agricultural land result in volatility of prices of agricultural products, causing a imbalance of food market in Korea. It is necessary to develop a transnational food industry cooperation system among Korea, China and Russia that directly or indirectly affect food industry in terms of the whole industrial network. This study analyzes the value chain and linkage in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries in three nations. The unit structure and the industrial patterns of three nations were derived using the World Input-output Table (WIOT) from 2004 to 2014 every five years. This paper is expected to contribute to develop food security cooperation in the northern part of the Korean peninsula and to promote the mutual growth of food industry through industry linkage and cooperation.

진공예냉과 저온유통에 의한 양상추의 선도 연장 (Freshness Prolongation of Crisphead Lettuce by Vacuum Cooling and Cold-Chain System)

  • 양상추의 선도 연장 및 저온유통시스템 도입을 위하여 특별히 설계, 제작한 실험용 진공예냉장치를 이용하여 예냉처리한 후 저온유통시키면서 선도 연장 효과를 조사하였다. 양상추의 호흡 속도에 대한 온도계수$(Q_{10})$$1.7{\sim}2.4$, 초기 빙결점은 $-0.2^{\circ}C$로 나타났으며, 진공예냉장치를 이용해 30분 이내에 $0^{\circ}C$까지 냉각이 가능하였다. 한편 기존의 상온 유통, 예냉처리후 냉장차, 보냉차 및 상온트럭을 이용한 수송 과정중의 품온 변화가 측정되었다. 아울러 처리 방법별로 수송후 $5^{\circ}C$에 저온 보관중 품질 변화가 조사되었으며 진공예냉후 냉장차를 이용해 수송한 경우 기존 상온 유통 양상추에 비하여 저장기간이 90% 이상 연장되었다.

  • 대규모 식품사고가 발생하고, 원산지 허위 표시 등에 의한 표시의 신뢰가 실추되며, 수입 농산물의 잔류농약문제 등 식품에 대한 안전과 안심에 국민의 신뢰를 흔드는 문제가 발생함 으로써 식품안전성이나 품질에 대한 소비자의 관심이 증대되고 있다. 소비자의 식품 선택폭 은 넓어졌지만, 식품안정성 문제 등은 더욱 관리하기가 어려워지고 있다. 우리나라 농촌 경 제에 기반이 되는 쌀에 대한 상품 브랜드를 살리고 쌀에 대한 안정성을 확보하기 위해서는 생산, 가공, 유통, 판매에 대한 전 과정에 대해서 철저한 관리가 이루어져야 된다. 최근 쌀을 비롯한 식품관련 사건 등에 대한 신속한 원인규명과 쌀을 포함한 식품 브랜드에 대한 품질 관리를 입증하는 수단으로 생산이력제(Traceability system)가 주목을 받고 있다. 이는 식품 에 대한 이력과 가공 내역, 이동 경로 등의 투명성을 확보하는 수단으로 푸드체인(Food chain)의 추적성을 확보할 수 있게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전자인식(Electronic Identification) 즉 RFID 기술을 이용하여 식품에 대한 생산이력시스템을 구현하여 생산업 자, 가공업자, 유통업자 등 모든 참여자가 함께 안전한 농산물을 생산하고 올바른 유통체계 를 이루어 정직하게 이력정보를 공유함으로써 우리나라 고유의 신토불이 브랜드로 판매될 수 있도록 소비자가 믿고 안심하게 구입할 수 있는 체계를 갖추고자 한다.

A Study on the Improving the Competitiveness through Analysis of Advanced HALAL Logistics Management Status

  • The global halal market is forecast to grow at an annual average of 5.2 percent from 2017 to $3.07 trillion in 2023 due to the high growth rate of the world's Muslim population, the spread of halal-certified food consumption and the economic growth of the Muslim world. Through this study, the difficulty of obtaining halal certification can be overcome through accurate understanding of the general supply chain and other halal supply chain. Also, by examining the trends and requirements of halal logistics standards in countries with advanced halal logistics systems, halal logistics certification agencies, and halal port logistics, we can help establish our own halal logistics system by finding areas that can be benchmarked in Korea and differentiated from those that can be found. For the safe supply chain management of halal products between logistics Supply Chain, an integrated logistics system shall be developed to manage customs and customs as one-stop, while maintaining a complete halal condition on a series of logistics processes such as storage, transportation, customs clearance, etc. Korea, entry into the halal logistics market through halal integrity guarantee solution or platform development can also be considered, taking advantage of the strength of IT and packaging.

푸드테크 관련 한국과 일본의 특허 등록 현황 (Current Status of Registered Patents Related to Food Tech in Korea and Japan)

  • This study analyzed the current status of registered patents related to food tech in Korea and Japan. Using the patent information search services of Korean and Japanese Patent Offices, patents registered during the past 10 years from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2015 were searched with the following key words/phrases: "food or meal or diet" and "program or information system". A total of 669 patents (539 for Korea and 130 for Japan) were finally selected and analyzed. Based on Porter's value chain theory, the patents were categorized into three dimensions related to "manufacturing/processing/distribution", "sales & marketing", and "consumer support". The results showed that in Korea, 41.7% of the total patents were related to sales & marketing followed by consumer support (37.3%) and manufacturing/processing/distribution (21.0%). In Japan, patents related to consumer support accounted for 56.2% followed by manufacturing/processing/distribution (32.3%), and sales & marketing (11.5%). In the area of manufacturing/processing/distribution, "food quality management system" in Korea, and "food manufacturing and processing management system" and "food safety control and hazard analysis system" in Japan tended to show a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.05). Under sales & marketing, patents in the categories of "food purchase and delivery service system" in Korea and "restaurant information sharing system" in Japan tended to be more frequently registered (p<.05). Finally, in the area of consumer support, "kitchen facility and cooking device control system" in Korea and "menu and nutrition management system" in Japan tended to account for a significantly higher proportion of patents registered (p<.001). The results are expected to provide useful insights into the development of new patents and markets for food tech in the future.

Permanence of an impulsive food web system with Holling-type II functional responses

  • In this paper, we are studying the property for permanence of a three species food chain system with impulsive perturbations and Holling type II functional response, species which is important concept or property in ecological systems. Specially, we give the conditions for the permanence of this system. To do it, we consider the comparison method which is typical skill happened in impulsive differential inequalities. In addition, we reaffirm our results by using a numerical example.

우리나라 빙장선 도입 시기에 관한 소고 (A Study on the Introduction Time of a Reefer Ship in Korea)

  • Cold storage and transportation facilities play major roles in the implementation of fishery cold chain systems. Most fishes are more easily perishable than other food products such as agricultural products and livestock products. Therefore, fishery cold chain systems were earlier introduced than other food clod chain systems. It is acknowledged that a reefer ship as a component of cold chain systems was used in the fishery transportation in the Joseon Dynasty. But researchers disagree on the introduction time of a fishery reefer ship. This study investigated the introduction time of a fishery reefer ship by some conditions including the number of private cold storage facilities, the magnitude of fishing vessels, and the plenty catch of fish species. According to reviewing the introduction conditions of fishery reefer ships, it was estimated that fishery reefer ships were introduced in 15th century. Therefore, the introduction time of a fishery reefer ship is more advanced about 300 or 400 years than as we know.

  • Block Chain is a technology that records and shares distributed ledgers without a central authority, providing a decentralized platform for transparent transactions in the business and enhancing transparency and traceability in all transactions to ensure trust in the transaction. Despite initial doubts about this technology, it is committed to adopting, adapting and improving the technology in a wide range of industries, including finance, government, security, logistics, food, medical, legal, and real estate. This study examines this technology, its applicability and potential benefits to the manufacturing supply chain. A tracking system of manufacturing supply chain to visualize transparency and traceability is implemented, and the conditions for adopting the technology in the manufacturing supply chain and the issues to be addressed are discussed.

식품컨셉의 다양화에 따른 일본 식품유통시스템의 변혁에 관한 연구 (The Study of Japanese Food Distribution System in response to Diversification of Food Concept)

  • 본 연구는 소비자 니즈의 변화에 따른 식품컨셉의 변형으로 인한 일본의 식품유통시스템의 발전과정을 살펴보는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 본 논문에서는 식품컨셉으로서 일반적으로 가공식품과 비가공식품으로 분류되었던 식품컨셉을 확장시켜 비가공적 가공식품과 가공적 비가공식품의 개념을 소개하고, 그에 따른 일본식품유통시스템의 물류, 도매, 소매상에서의 혁신적 관리 및 발전과정을 살펴본다. 일본 식품유통시스템의 변화에 근본적인 원인을 제공한 요인으로서 소비자 니즈와 인식의 변화를 들 수 있으며, 일본 식품유통시스템의 개념정립 및 현황분석과 함께 일본 식품유통시스템의 실제적 변화로서 온도대별 물류혁신, PB상품개발, 체인시스템의 다양화 등을 살펴보기로 한다. 이와 같은 일본소비자의 특성, 식품유통시스템의 발전상황 및 사례를 연구함으로써 한국식품유통시스템의 발전과정과 비교분석이 가능하며 나아가 합리적인 식품유통시스템으로의 방향제시가 가능하다고 사료된다.
