Purpose: This paper study the effect of the quality management on the performance among the manufacturing companies awarding the Korean National Quality Award(NQA). Methods: The data for 34 manufacturing companies are surveyed by the 7-point Likert scale and empirically tested. Results: Even among the companies awarding NQA for their excellent quality management level there are significant differences in their performance by their quality management levels. In particular, leadership and human resources categories have greater impacts on the performance. Conclusion: Even though the company awarded NQA(KQMA: Korean Quality Management Award) for its excellent quality management level, it is necessary to improve the quality management level continuously. This result supports the necessity of KQGA(Korean Quality Grand Award) which is awarded for the companies which improve quality management levels significantly after awarding KQMA.

This paper is written to analyze systematically the varieties of informations about cooking stream procedure on the basis of the basic theory of installation and arrangement such as SLP(Systemic Layout Planning) and to deduce the plan for the device, installation and arrangement suitable to cooking stream procedure. Through the substantial improvement in the modeling of hotel L, the optimization of the capacity of installation and arrangement, and the reduction of food resource stream and its movement and through the analysis of cooking stream procedure by disposing and dividing the main kitchen into three individual ones, the improvement of productivity in comprehensive cookery such as the specialization and equalization of cooking procedure and improvement effect of the price-reduction. Moreover, as for the problem of arrangement of installation, it was displayed that the effect went up to twice through the flexible production-related systems such as the improvement of arrangement, reduction of cooking preparation time, the standardization of cookery.

This study empirically studies the effects of Agricultural Technology Service Center's educational program for farmers on their incomes. The educational program for farmers has widely been managed in discourse and policy in Korea. In 2008, Agricultural Technology Service Center managed 88 educational program for farmers, where 6,409 farmers received a certificate. While there are important studies, most of them have concentrated on qualitative analysis and noneconomic effects to an educational program for farmers. This study tried to analyze whether or not there is an economic effect of an educational program for farmers, focusing on the relationship between the educational program for farmers and their income status. Multilevel models (or hierarchical linear models) were applied to this study. Multilevel model is a quantitative model of parameters that vary at more than one level and show hierarchical structures between levels. This study particularly accentuates that an educational program for farmers is more meaningful when it can raise farmers' incomes by region and by educational program for farmers.

As we continue to enjoy economic growth, there is an abundance of disposable income for consumer to spend. Consumers are spending more and more of these income in beauty service. However, relatively little is known about which factors influence consumer' behavior intentions in this area. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between the servicescape and relational benefits on customer value in beauty salon area. The Results are summarized as follows First, as the results of data analysis, among the composition factor of servicescape, spatiality, comfortableness, cleanness and convenience are shown to give positive effect on customer value. Second, among the composition factor of relational benefits, economic honest, functional benefit, private benefit, social benefit and psychological benefit are found to have a positive relationship with customer value.

In comparison with previous researches fur swirling flow, the spiral flow self-generated in the spiral flow nozzle has some different characteristics. It is not needed a compulsive tangential momentum to get its velocity component and has long potential core, relatively low swirl ratio, and high focusing ability. In this study, the self-generated mechanism of the spiral flow was clarified and the effect on the width of annular slit on spiral flow characteristics was investigated experimentally and numerically. As a result, the existence of tangential velocity component regardless of a compulsive angular momentum is clarified and the results obtained by experiment have a satisfactory agreement with those by numerical method, quantitatively and qualitatively.

공간솔리톤(spatial soliton)은 빔이 매질을 진행할 때 자기집속 효과(self-focusing effect) 와 자기확산 효과(self-defocusing effect)에 의해서 회절이 보상되어 형성된다. Kerr 매질에서는 굴절률의 변화가 빔의 세기에 비례하하므로 솔리톤을 발생시키기 위해서는 수 MW/$ extrm{cm}^2$ 이상인 빔의 세기가 요구된다. 광굴절 매질은 광굴절효과에 의해서 굴절률의 변화로 공간솔리톤을 발생시킨다. 비균일한 빔이 매질에 입사되면 전도대로 여기된 free carrier가 분포 차이에 의해서 확산이 일어나게 된다. 그리고 외부에서 걸어준 전기장 및 광기전력 효과로 인한 drift가 일어나게 되고 이것에 의해 생긴 공간 전하장(space charge field)에 의하여 굴절률의 변화가 생긴다. Topology optimization is an effective scheme to obtain the initial design concept: however, it is hard to apply in case of non-linear or multi-objective problems. In this study, a modified topology optimization method is proposed to generate a structure of a swing arm type actuator satisfying maximum compliance as well. as maximum stiffness using the multi-objective optimization. approach. The multi-objective function is defined to maximize the compliance in the direction of focusing of the actuator and the second eigen-frequency of the structure. The design of experiments are performed and the response surface functions are formulated to construct the multi-objective function. The weighting factors between conflicting functions are determined by the back-error propagation neural network and the solution of multi-objective function is acquired using the genetic algorithm.

The aims of this study were to investigate the relationships among mothers' depression, home environment, and preschool children's development. The participants in this study were 199 parents of 3- to 5-year-old children. Statistical methods used for the data analysis were the frequencies, means, standard deviations, Pearson correlation, simple and multiple regression. The major findings were as follows. First, mothers' depression had a negative influence on home environment. Second, mothers' depression had a negative influence on children's development. Last, the effect of mothers' depression on children's development was partially mediated by home environment. The results suggest that mothers' depression and home environment may predict children's development.
