  • Energy environment has been changing rapidly such as high oil prices and the effectuation of UNFCCC. Oil prices have continued to rise and Dubai crude prices recorded 60 or 70 dollars per barrel in 2006. In addition, the effectuation of UNFCCC will affect Korean economy and national energy security. Korea is the 9th $CO_2$ emissions country and takes the 1st place related to the increase rate of $CO_2$ emissions globally. Energy technology development is a key breakthrough and one of the optimal alternatives to cope with national energy security. In this study, we prioritize energy technologies in the sectors of high oil prices and UNFCCC related to ETRM for well focus R&D and efficiency of finite resources allocations. We applied to the extended method of AHP, fuzzy AHP reflecting the fuzziness of human thoughts and perception, for prioritizing the relative importance among energy technologies in ETRM for the first time as we make an energy policy in Korea.

  • Advanced countries including OECD member countries focus on the Open Innovation strategy to strengthen their national science and technology innovation capability and to promote the utilization of its outcome. Numerous relevant researches are proceeded in these days, however, just few researches exist in the defense science and technology innovation fields. Therefore, the paper tries to apply Open Innovation concept to the national defense science and technology fields based on the change of defense environments and its problems. For this reason, the paper also presents the theoretical framework of defense Open Innovation and future directions for the purpose of strengthening the national defense science and technology innovation capability and expanding its outcomes.

  • The urban style compact apartment which appeared at the end of 1990's was developed by the decrement of household members and in compliance with a new life style. Now it has its own market as a new trend. The purpose of this study is to better understand the characteristics of urban style compact apartments based on an analysis of apartments actually sold on 2008, in order to reflect on the future directions and developments. To support a comprehensive analysis, this study considered three types of compact apartments developed by : a. major developers which own multiple well-recognized brand names, b. mid-size developers under general brand names, c. new or small-size developers specializing in compact apartments. The results from 21 urban style compact apartments could be summarized as follow; 1. Most buyers are Singles or DINKs. The single women occupy a large percentage. 2. Condition of good location is under 5 minutes walk to station and accessibility to 2 and more station. 3. Exterior of building should be harmonious to surrounding and simple, the atmosphere of entrance hall should be warm and relaxed. 4. The spatial character of unit plans are developed by the ways of connecting spaces; 1) Connecting spaces by mobile partition: flexible spaces with expansion 2) Connecting spaces by hall: well arranged spaces with excursion and extends 5. • After contracting of Korea-China FTA, we have expected the trade volume has mutually been increasing a lot. If we are using this contract, we would make an activation of Korea economy. Especially, Korea youngman has been caught a big chance to make a business in Korea & China. For example, Xian, which is one of center of silk road, has become big strategy area. As we need to focus on this area, we will be expected to indirect influences of consumer's industries like cosmetic, fishery products, food service, eco-friendly items. Recently, the youngman starting up a business has become a trend of kinds of alternative new job. Then, we have to provide practical solution for young man. One of this solution is 'starting up a business'. In this study, I empirically investigated the relation between Korea-China FTA and the youth starting up a business. So, I believe that this study can light up on the direction of effective starting up for making & success a business in China.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the causal relationships among knowledge management(KM) influence factors(leadership, learning culture, member' attitude, reward, knowledge quality, KMS quality), KM activities(knowledge creation, knowledge sharing), KM performance in public enterprise. The results of data analysis by structured equation model(SEM) indicate that learning culture, knowledge quality and KMS quality significantly influence the knowledge creation and sharing. Member' attitude has significant influences on the knowledge creation. And knowledge creation and sharing have a significant affect on KM performance. Based on the results, the potential implications of the strategy for effective knowledge management are discussed.

  • Accelerated life testing (ALT) is a well famous technique in life testing and reliability studies, this is particularly used to induce so high stress leading to failure of the highly reliable units quickly under stipulated duration of time. The step-stress ALT is one of the systematic experimental strategy of ALT applied to fail the units in steps. In this article we focus on two important issues (i) necessity of life tests at higher steps with relevant causes (ii) to develop a new optimum test plan for 3-step SSALT under the modified cumulative exposure model proposed by Khamis and Higgins (1998). It is assumed that the lifetime of test units follows Rayleigh distribution and its scale parameter at constant stress level is assumed to be a log-linear function of the stress. The maximum likelihood estimates of the parameters involved in the step-stress ALT model are obtained. A simulation study is performed for numerical investigation of the proposed new optimum plan 3-step, step-stress ALT. The necessity of the life test units at 3-step step-stress is also numerically examined in comparison to simple step-stress setup.

  • CRM (Customer Relationship Management) becomes a crucial paradigm as the environment of the market changes. About the CRM actively maintaining and managing customers that have been already acquired, the research has been done as a plan to lure loyal customers who bring lucrative profits in the long term for the company in order to increase the value to the customers. However, in practice, the focus is on putting spurs to attracting new customers in a short term rather than retaining existing customers who give profitable revenues. If the company puts high emphasis on drawing the new customers, in a CRM's point of view in relation to the value of the customers, it can incur a loss in the long run. The reason is that if the firm conducts discriminative sales promotion, the existing clients with high loyalty will feel relatively treated inappropriately and they will have negative feelings such as being betrayed from the company they prefer. This occurrence of negative emotion can in-crease the possibility of highly profitable clients' secession. In consequence, this paper focusing on the process of the client segmentation at the mobile telecommunication services shows that the sales promotion strategy for the new customer attraction can lead to negative effect on the loyalty of the existing customers.
