  • This research examines the compensation package maximizing the utilities of internal customers by applying the market segmentation theory. Data were collected from four Korean hospitals in Seoul, Pusan and Kyunggi-do. The research is designed to seek the compensation package maximizing the utility of doctors and nurses by applying the market segmentation theory. The compensation package for doctors and nurses was classified into 5 attributes which are level of salary, payment method, education, promotion, reward method. The test results were as follows. First, the relative importance of each attribute in the compensation package is different. The level of salary is the most important, reward method is the next. Second, the utility of doctors increases by 8.7%, when they are segmented on the basis. of their preference for compensation attributes while that of nurses increases by 39.8%. The results of this study imply that the utility of doctors and nurses increases with differentiated compensation package for internal customer segmented by their preference.

  • The role of switching costs in customer retention has been posited, but has not been subjected to rigorous empirical testing. Therefore, our main focus is on the factors that influence whether consumers will have intention to switch or stay with an incumbent technology (e.g., MS-Windows). Based on consumer survey with MS-Windows users, we find empirical support for the link between the existence of compactible software, consumer's expertise in MS-Windows and intention to stay with MS-Windows. Specifically, switching costs are found to be positively associated with the existence of compatible software. Further, the lack of expertise in MS-Windows on the part of consumers tends to increase the likelihood that they will rely on current MS-Windows, rather than switch to other alternative operating systems.

  • As the dependence on information systems in enterprises has grown dramatically, the importance of implementing information systems in audit has been increased as well. However, there is a lact of about utilization of information system for audit process. Thus, this study is to investigate the factors that effect auditor's adopting Data Analytics to audit work. Through literature research and focus group interview, we added two factors that affect the behavioral intention to UTAUT model. We have selected performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, anxiety, task fit, behavioral intention as variables and verified hypotheses based on survey questionnaires from auditors. As a result, it was found that performance expectations, social influence, task fit influenced the behavior intention. In Addition, we analyzed adding two variables, IT-related work experience and type of auditor as moderate variable. This study has an implication for companies to motivate implementation as well as activation of Data Analytics technique.

Based on the analysis of seventy cases, the following results were found. First, SCM operational factors of supply chain management have a positively significant influence on flexibility of supply chain management. • LCD business has grown up changing its strategy and main focus by the order of NBPC, MNT and TV for decades. The presence of PDP drives TV market more demanding. The performance of LCD is required to be improved to struggle against PDP. To strengthen the competitiveness in the market, IPS and VA have evolved in various structures such as H-IPS, AS-IPS, and S-PVA. The introduction of new structures which have multi domains requires the interpretation of disclination area. We developed a new simulation tool based on fast Q-tensor method. It enables us to predict the shape of disclinations and the resulting optical properties. We applied this simulation tool to the development of 26-inch wide monitor having H-IPS mode.

However, it seems insufficient to accomplish policy goals under the existing policy instruments. The main focus of the paper is to investigate structural changes and policy directions of fisheries finance in Korea after asian economic crisis. The results of the study are as follows; Fisheries sector in whole economy has been lowering in its proportion. To survive in emerging global competition, fisheries sector is needed structural reformation. In particular the strategy that increases operative efficiency and effectiveness on government financial policy in fisheries sector is much expected. Also, it is necessary to minimize costs, to reform institution and management for increasing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Recently, e-transformation has appeared as one of the important issues on which academic and industrial worlds focus in order to bring organizational transformation to a company that wants to adapt itself to the rapidly changing business environment. Therefore this thesis aims to develop a new model(a model whose evaluation criteria were based on 3 dimensions, 9 factors, and 30 indices was derived) to evaluate the level of e-transformation that enables firms to check out and predict the e-transformation progress. The present study seems to be the first trial to evaluate the status of e-transformation processes of the firm empirically, especially by integrating the many indices that have not been examined empirically before. We expect that the results from this research will help corporate e-business strategy planners to devise and analyze the e-transformation strategies effectively by recognizing the companies' current situation in comparison with their previous and other firms' level, respectively.

  • This paper explores the convergence process by focusing on the massively multiplayer online game(MMOG) industry and the online broadcasting industry in South Korea. In doing so, the paper seeks to establish the concept of Hidden catalysts for the integration process between the two industries and explore the roles of the Hidden catalysts in triggering the industry's transition. Further, the modified multi-level socio-technical model we applied in our research allows us both to understand each industry's development towards convergence in various dimensions and also to focus on the activities of the Hidden catalysts. In assessing the role of Hidden catalysts in industry convergence, we found that Hidden catalysts depend on two essential features: first, appropriate technology leading to the new industry dominance; and second, managerial capabilities to deal with conflicts among other new interest groups, to harmonise with government initiatives for industry development and to create new value in the integrated market to please the demand of mixed customers.
