3D 프린팅을 이용한 소형 무인기 설계·제작 교육 프로그램을 위한 수업자료 개발과 적용 (Development of Instructional Materials for Micro-UAV Design and Production Program using 3D Printers and Its Application)

  • This study introduces the development and application of instructional materials for a micro-UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) design and manufacturing program in university education for freshman/sophomore students. The ADDIE methodology was applied to the development of educational materials, which consist of 15 lessons including the aircraft design theory, 3D CAD modeling, 3D printing production, and UAV flight control. The validity of the program was evaluated with 8 expert panels. A total of 82 participants from engineering and social science grouped the 16 teams for the creative UAV wing design and cooperative interactions. The results of overall program satisfaction survey was measured highly as the average 4.54 (out of 5), so that the students were content with the professional engineering knowledge, 3D digital tools, and the opportunity to design and manufacture airplanes on their own. In conclusion, it can be confirmed that the developed program is effective for UAV education for junior level college student.

2011 대구세계육상선수권대회 남자 멀리뛰기 경기의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematic Analysis of the Men's Long Jump in the IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011)

  • The long jump motion of 8 finalist of men's long jump of IAAF World Championships Daegu 2011 were analysed and the kinematic characteristics of the technique were investigated. The kinematic characteristics of long jump motion of 8 finalist were as follows. In the run-up phase, the average length of 3, 2, and 1 stride were $2.21{\pm}0.08$ m, $2.46{\pm}0.18$ m, and $2.19{\pm}0.16$ m, respectively. The change in the height of the center of gravity was $0.09{\pm}0.02$ m. The average velocity of 3, 2, and 1 stride was $10.37{\pm}0.32$ m/s, $9.63{\pm}0.32$ m/s, and $10.69{\pm}10.69$ m/s, respectively. In the take-off phase, the horizontal velocity, the vertical velocity, the reduction of horizontal velocity was $9.00{\pm}0.37$ m/s, $3.04{\pm}0.27$ m/s, and $1.69{\pm}0.34$ m/s, respectively. The minimum knee angle and the take off angle was $157{\pm}6.57^{\circ}$ and $18.5{\pm}2.24^{\circ}$, respectively. In the flight phase, the flight time and the maximum height of the center of gravity was $0.82{\pm}0.05$ s, and $1.70{\pm}0.10$ m, respectively. In the landing phase, the landing length was $0.51{\pm}0.06$ m. The body angle, the knee angle, and the hip angle was $71{\pm}20.93^{\circ}$, $136{\pm}19.19^{\circ}$, and $85{\pm}9.58^{\circ}$, respectively. The kinematic characteristics of long jump motion with good record were shown as follows. The reduction of the horizontal velocity in the take-off phase was minimized while the velocity of the run-up were maximally maintained. The vertical velocity in the take-off phase was increased with rapidly extended knee and the high center of gravity.

  • The long jump motions of 8 finalists in the women's long jump at the IAAF World Championships, Daegu 2011 were analyzed, and the kinematic characteristics of their techniques were investigated. The kinematic characteristics of the long jump motion of the 8 finalists were as follows. In the run-up phase, the length of the 2 stride was $108{\pm}6.92%$ that of the 3 stride. The length of the 1 stride was $91{\pm}5.78%$ that of the 2 stride. The change in the height of the center of gravity was $0.07{\pm}0.03$ m. The maximum velocity during the run-up phase was $9.44{\pm}0.13$ m at the 1 stride. In the take-off phase, the horizontal velocity, vertical velocity, reduction in horizontal velocity were $7.80{\pm}0.15$ m/s, $2.96{\pm}0.14$ m/s, and $1.64{\pm}0.19$ m/s, respectively. The minimum knee angle and take-off angle were $151{\pm}8.89^{\circ}$ and $20.7{\pm}1.03^{\circ}$, respectively. In the flight phase, the flight time and maximum height of the center of gravity were $0.78{\pm}0.03$ s, and $1.60{\pm}0.05$ m, respectively. In the landing phase, the landing length was $0.50{\pm}0.07$ m. The trunk angle, knee angle, and hip angle were $74{\pm}18.75^{\circ}$, $131{\pm}10.45^{\circ}$, and $82{\pm}9.03^{\circ}$, respectively. The kinematic characteristics of the motion of a good long jump were as follows. The reduction in the horizontal velocity in the take-off phase was minimized, and the maximum velocity of the run-up was maintained. The vertical velocity in the take-off phase was increased using a rapidly extended knee and high center of gravity.

조종사와 항공교통관제사의 JCRM 필요성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Needs for JCRM with Pilot and Air Traffic Controllers)

  • 미국의 가인(GAIN)은 Pilot/Controller Collaboration Initiatives 보고서에서 "조종사와 항공교통관제사는 하루 종일 서로 이야기하지만 거의 의사소통하지 않는다."라고 기술하였다. 조종사-항공교통관제사 간의 안전 운항에 대한 인식과 문화, 또는 다른 요인에서 오는 차이점이 절차와 지시에 대하여 서로 간의 오해가 있는가라는 의문이 연구의 시발점이 되었다. 촉박한 시간 내에 해결해야 하는 많은 과정은 James Reason의 Swiss Cheese Theory와 같이 연쇄적인 위험요인을 거쳐 사고를 유발할 가능성을 높인다. 비행의 주체가 되는 조종사-항공교통관제사 간의 복합 요소가 상당 부분 차지하고 있는데 불구하고 두 집단 간의 안전 운항을 위한 통합적인 관리는 이루어지고 있지 않다. 본 연구는 조종사-항공교통관제사 간의 안전 운항을 위한 안전 및 교육의 통합적인 관리를 JCRM을 통해서 이루고자 기술하였다.

VR/AR 환경의 협업 딥러닝을 적용한 맞춤형 조종사 훈련 플랫폼 (Customized Pilot Training Platform with Collaborative Deep Learning in VR/AR Environment)

  • Aviation ICT technology is a convergence technology between aviation and electronics, and has a wide variety of applications, including navigation and education. Among them, in the field of aerial pilot training, there are many problems such as the possibility of accidents during training and the lack of coping skills for various situations. This raises the need for a simulated pilot training system similar to actual training. In this paper, pilot training data were collected in pilot training system using VR/AR to increase immersion in flight training, and Customized Pilot Training Platform with Collaborative Deep Learning in VR/AR Environment that can recommend effective training courses to pilots is proposed. To verify the accuracy of the recommendation, the performance of the proposed collaborative deep learning algorithm with the existing recommendation algorithm was evaluated, and the flight test score was measured based on the pilot's training data base, and the deviations of each result were compared. The proposed service platform can expect more reliable recommendation results than previous studies, and the user survey for verification showed high satisfaction.

OPTICAL MICROVARIABILITY OF BLAZARS

  • We present the results of optical differential photometry of five blazars [PKS0219+428 (3C66A), PKS 0235+164 (AO 0235+16), H0414+019, PKS 0851+202 (OJ 287) and QSO 1807+698 (3C 371)] that were observed on 7 nights between November 05, 1997 and December 29, 1998, using the B and the V band filters. We have detected microvariations in four blazars (3C66A, AO 0235+16, H04l4+019, and OJ 287). In addition, the light curve of AO 0235+16 has displayed a mini-flare when the brightness of this source was decreasing. Night-to-night variations have also been detected in 3C66A, H04l4+019, and OJ 287. The results of our observations are discussed in the framework of accretion disk phenomena (magnetic flares or hot spots in accretion disks) and jet phenomena (plasma instabilities in jets).

  • 본 논문은 항공전자통합구조를 위하여 적합한 광통신 데이터 버스를 제안한다. 항공기용 데이터 버스로는 전기식과 광학식 전송 방식을 사용한다. 최근 항공전자시스템은 각 비행제어분야와 비행관리시스템을 관리하는 서버간의 연동 및 동기화, 고속처리 등 기존 버스 방식으로 확장이 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 데이터 버스의 문제점을 알아보고 고속광통신기술을 살펴보며 차세대 항공전자 버스 구조로 적합한 방법을 제안한다.

PLANE COURTESY: HOW PASSENGER ATTITUDES ON BOARD CAN DECREASE THE AIR RAGE PHENOMENON

  • What was once known as common courtesy is rapidly disappearing in the air travel industry, and the violent behavior known as air rage is a constant threat. Once sought after by other industries for advice because of its expertise in customer service, the air travel industry has now slipped to the lowest rungs of companies with unhappy customers. As airlines cut corners in order to avoid bankruptcy, passengers' patience is tested by the stress of flight delays, crowded airports and close packed seating on airplanes. This article examines the situation, strategies used by passengers and ways the airline industry might better inspire courteous behavior in passengers. A cultural expectation of entitlement and competitiveness for limited resources has led to a breakdown in civilized behavior throughout society, both in the United States and internationally. Air travelers faced with rude and intrusive behavior from others on the flight are beginning to find their own ways of coping, such as high quality headphones to block offensive noises, and mechanical devices to keep the seat in front from reclining to the point where it hits their knees. The most potentially effective remedies will come from airlines that enlist cooperation by offering effective passenger education and possibly even incentives. Acceptable airline behaviors need to be plainly defined and stressed for passengers, both before boarding and onboard. In this paper, some methods are suggested to motivate passengers and to inspire courteous behavior.

태권도 540도 뒤후려차기 동작의 운동역학적 분석 (A Biomechanical Analysis of 540o Dwihuryeochagi of Taekwondo)

  • The aim of the study was a quantitative analysis of elite athlete's $540^{\circ}$ Dwihuryeochagi and effects of ground movements to the jumping height and kicking velocity. Eleven elite players(Taekwondo demonstration team) participated in this study. In order to get the kinetic and kinematic variables, ten Vicon cameras and a force plate were used. Foot segment velocity(FSV), vertical ground reaction force(GRF), impulse, ground time(GT) in phase 1, trunk angular velocity(TAV), vertical center of gravity(COG), flight time(FT) in phase 2 and kicking leg segment velocity(KSV) in phase 3 were measured and analyzed. Results indicated that there were similar patterns of variables among phases between subjects. Non-significant correlation(r=.145) between flight time(FT) and impulse was found. Also non-significant correlation(r=.119) between center of gravity(COG) and impulse was found. In conclusions, there were similar strategies in phase 1, phase 2, and phase 3 between subjects.

Acoustic Estimation of Phase Velocity of Closed-Cell Kelvin Structure based on Spectral Phase Analysis

  • In this paper, the effect of porosity on the acoustic phase velocity of the 3D printed Kelvin closed-cell structure was investigated using the spectral phase analysis. Since Kelvin cells bring about the large amount of scattering, acoustic pulses in ultrasonic measurements undergoes a distortion of waveforms due to the dispersion effect. In order to take account on the dispersion, mathematical expressions for calculating the phase velocity of longitudinal waves propagating normal to the plane of the Kelvin structure are suggested by introducing a complex wave number based on Fourier transform. 3D Kelvin structure composed of identical unit-cells, a polyhedron of 14 faces with 6 quadrilateral and 8 hexagonal faces, was developed and fabricated by 3D CAD and 3D printer to represent the micro-structure of porous materials such as aluminum foam and cancellous bone. Total nine samples of 3D Kelvin structure with different porosity were made by changing the thickness of polyhedron. Ultrasonic pulse of 1MHz center frequency was applied to the Kelvin structures for the measurement of the phase velocity of ultrasound using the TOF(time-of-flight) and the phase spectral method. From the experimental results, it was found that the acoustic phase velocity decreased linearly with the porosity.
