  • The legacy Residential Gateway (RG) which constitutes fixed WAN interfaces and LAN interfaces, is at a disadvantage due to difficult modification of a system. In this paper, we propose the flexible module-based RG on the basis of the RG standardization and demonstrate the prototype system, whose function is verified by the home automation application.

  • This is the dissertation of the study of design characteristics about the practical flexible manufacturing system (PFMS). The basic ideas to analyze the manufacturing system which is the automatically operated is dependant on the various manufacturing procedures in factory. PFMS is the very useful equipment for students and trainee of production lines. This system is composed of hardware and software sub systems i.e. control and test unit and personal computer with software. The PFMS can be developed with design concepts and approved the capability of first article with functional tests. The PFMS module will be very useful for the manufacturing drill system in universities and practical fields. The flexible manufacturing systems have various subsystems appropriated for the final manufacturing products. Therefore the systems have the various kinds of hard wares as well as softwares. We study the software for the practical flexible manufacturing system designed in the Halla University and specially the design concept and using specification of the SCARA (Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm) robot which is used for the movement of the product is analyzed and introduced in this dissertation.

  • The forms made by repeated arrangements of basic units defined as Simulakre are recomposed into organic, geometric or multi-functional forms by diverse combinations and arrangements and the space expanded by reiterated compositions will have the meaning of active space expansions representing speeds, rhythms or time by reiterations instead of a limited and fixed place shown by a work. The module design that can create new roles and functions of spaces that are variability and fluidity and that can be assembled and transformed into the shapes, sizes and functions desired by users will be analyzed applying the concepts of reiteration and expansion. The module designs emerging in 21th century are in diverse organic forms and geometric forms and their methods for expansion are also diversified. And instead of having a function, they have diverse functions such as storages, partitions, walls, curtains and soundproofing. The development of module designs are first to satisfy the diversified needs, individualities and desires to posses of modem people and second the development, finding and application of new materials. In the future spaces that will continuously develop and will be nomadic, the flexible and individualized module designs will become more diversified and will have their significances.

  • 본 연구에서는 자동화 제조 시스템 (Automatic Manufacturing System :AMS)의 설계및 구현에 있어서 물리적인 검증 (Physical Validation)을 위한 소프트웨어 시스템의 구조를 제안하고 구현하였다. 제안된 소프트웨어 시스템은 설비들과 물류 흐름에 있어서 간섭 검증과 운영 가능성을 검증하는 기능을 제공하며 크게 4개의 모듈로 나누어져 있다. : 1) 기본 형상들을 이용하여 원하는 형상을 정의하는 "Shape Modeling Module", 2) 실제 설비의 Kinematics와 기능을 모델링하는 "Facility Modeling Module", 3) AMS의 물리적인 배치를 구성하는 "Layout Design Module", 4) 모델링된 AMS를 실행시켜 볼 수 있는 "Factory Emulation Module". 이와 같은 소프트웨어 시스템을 구현하기 위해 수행된 주된 연구는 다음과 같다. : 1) AMS를 구성하는 설비들을 모델링하는 방법을 제시, 2) 표준 설비들의 Instancing Parameter 제시, 3) C++과 GL을 이용하여 소프트웨어로의 구현, 4) Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)에의 응용.lexible Manufacturing System (FMS)에의 응용.

  • This paper aims to propose a design for simulation systems for container terminal operation evaluation. The systems cover both terminal design simulation for medium and long tern decision making and terminal operations simulation for day to day decision making. And both systems include the container terminal operation components, quay, yard and gate operations. For the flexible and efficient application of the systems, we designed the systems with three modules such as "Define Module"."Simulation Module" and "Animation Module". 공작기계용 원격 고장진단 및 보수 시스템 (Remote Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance System for NC Machine Tools)

  • Remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system using general telecommunication network is necessary for an effective fault diagnosis and higher productivity of NC machine tools. In order to monitor machine tool condition and diagnose alarm states due to electrical and mechanical faults, a remote data communication system for monitoring of NC machine fault diagnosis and status is developed. The developed system consists of (1) remote communication module among NC's and host PC using PSTN. (2) 8 channels analog data sensing module, (3) digital I/O module for control or NC machine, (4) communication module between NC machine and remote data communication system via RS-232C, and (5) software man-machine interface. Diagnostic monitoring results generated through a successive type inference engine are displayed in user-friendly graphics. The validity and reliability of the developed system is verified to be a powerful commercial version on a vertical machining center through a series of experiments.

  • Many distributed applications is developed in various environment such as operating system, software platform. So, they exhibit different types of system behavior, status, during the course of their operation. Each such behavior may have different functional and non-functional requirements. Therefore, many distributed application need to fault-tolerance solution. Personal robot provide various service or application. Because personal robot has many application or service, it need to fault-tolerance architecture. A flexible architecture is required to provide dependability. In this paper, it is suggested a fault-tolerant architecture for module-based personal robot with module fault-tolerance, service fault-tolerance.

  • This paper describes diagnosis strategy of the Flexible Multiple Fault Diagnosis Module for forecasting faults in system and deciding current machine state form sensor information. Most studydeal with diagnosis control stategy about single fault in a system, this studies deal with multiple fault diagnosis. This strategy is consist of diagnosis control module such as backward tracking expert system shell, various neural network, numerical model to predict machine state and communication module for information exchange and cooperate between each model. This models are used to describe structure, function and behavior of subsystem, complex component and total system. Hierarchical structure is very efficient to represent structural, functional and behavioral knowledge. FT(Fault Tree). ST(Symptom Tree), FCD(Fault Consequence Diagrapy), SGM(State Graph Model) and FFM(Functional Flow Model) are used to represent hierachical structure. In this study, IA(Intelligent Agent) concept is introduced to match FT component and event symbol in diagnosed system and to transfer message between each event process. Proposed diagnosis control module is made of IPC(Inter Process Communication) method under UNIX operating system.

  • This paper deals with the development of a software module for production planning and scheduling activities of an existing Flexible Machining and Assembly System (FMAS). The Production Planning Module uses the hierarchical and sequential scheme based on "divide and conquer" philosophy. In this module, routes are determined based on the production order, orders are screened, tools are allocated, and order adjustments are executed according to the allocated tools. The Scheduling Module allocates the resources, determines the task priority and the start and completion times of tasks. Re-scheduling can be done to handle unforeseen situations such as lumpy demands and machine breakdowns. Since all modules are integrated with a central database and they interface independently, it is easy to append new modules or update the existing modules. The result of this study is used for operating the real FMAS consisting of a machining cell with 2 domestic NC machines and a part feeding robot, an assembly cell with a conveyor and 3 robots, an inspection cell, an AGV, an AS/RS, and a central control computer.

거대 부체구조물의 2차원 유연체 해석 및 거동 (Two Dimensional Flexible Body Response of Very Large Floating Structures)

  • 2차원 유연체해석 이론(수탄성 이론)을 여러개의 단위체 연결로 이루어진 거대 부체구조물의 해석에 적용하였다. 동수역학적 계수를 구하기 위해 경계요소법과 그린함수법이 사용되었으며 부체자체는 연직방향으로 파랑에 반응하는 연체보로 정수역학적 탄성계수에 대한 운동을 고려하여 운동방정식이 유도된다. 두가지 다른 형식의 연결, 즉 회전강성을 가진 것과 강성을 무시한 핀 형식의 연결요소가 고려되며 반잠수한 부체에 대해 해석결과가 제시된다. 해석결과는 거대 부체구조물의 설계에 필요한 변위와 내력에 관한 개념을 제시한다. 또한 수치해석 결과에 따르면 부체의 움직임은 핀연결이 강성체 연결보다 더 크며 부체의 내력휨 응력은 강성체 연결에서 휠씬 더 크게 증가하였다.
