To survey the recognition of Community Based Rehabilitation(CBR) by Public Health Center(PHC) Physical Therapists in Seoul Province. This study analysed general characteristic of Physical Therapists and cognition, participation, education, problems and requirements for CBR. The subjects of this study were 31 therapists who work at PHC in Seoul Province and Seoul City Childerns Municipal Hospital. Data was collected for 18 days from April 13 to 31, 1998 and results computed from 25 responses. First, Female therapists outnumber males. The age category 30 to 35 old represented 44.0% of the total number studied. 48.0% of therapists had worked more than 7 years and therapists usually 84.0% worked from 3 to 4 years at the PHC. Junior colleage graduates were 72.0%, and respondents with family responsibility were 52.0%. Second, Recently pain control and therapeutic exercises has become the major requirement of patients at PHC(56.0%). If the offered expanded services, a rehabilitation programe at PHC(36.0%) was highly. When asked about a working guide book, nobody had one. Third, 64.0% of therapists were aware of the present level of CBR, 28.0% of them had gotten an information from newspaper and mass media. Fourth, For CBR, 72.0% had positive ideas in which they could participate. 56.0% wished to compose a team of various rehabilitation specialists. 52.0% wished for the meeting day to be flexible and 64.0% desired to meet once or twice a week. Fifth, Almost all(92.0%) desired more educational opportunity about CBR. Example, once or twice a year(48.0%) and training period of 4 to 7 day(44.0%). They wanted to learn theory and parctice together(88.0%) and 48.0% wanted national mutirehabilitation center as a educational managing organization. Sixth, The most important requirement for accomplishing CBR by Physical Therapists was job security and adequate number of therapists(48.0%). Required number of physical therapists in the PHC was 3(52.0%). The cooperative agency should be the distict govement(32.0%) and community welfare center of the disabled persons(32.0%). Factors inhibiting the execution of CBR were lack of physical therapists(56.0%), and equipments for pain control and for therapeutic exercises(68.0%).

With the ever-increasing importance of high-speed information in society as we move towards the 21 st century, telecommunication laboratories of advanced nations are pressing forward with research and development aimed at implementing its W & P(Visual Intelligent and Personal) services and construction of a new network to support them. In legals to the former, based on a long-term view of technological and market trends, those laboratories are researching and developing services that will make possible an effective progression from the development of services that answer to potential needs towards the full-scale implementation of VI & P services. In regards to the latter, these laboratories are responding in a flexible manner to the increasing diversity and disposal of the communications environment by separating the network into a transmission system and a versatile information control/conversion -ion system and laboratories are working at enhancing the performance of both. Within these board aims, the laboratories are currently focusing our attention in three areas : the technology for a high-speed broadband transmission system featuring optical frequency multiplexing and ATM techniques, network and software technologies for advanced information control and conversion, and technology for constructing a new access network that can provide a comprehensive range of multimedia services. This article describes the laboratories' concept of how VI & P services will develop in the future, and the latest trends in the field of communications. It also describes the ideal configuration of the new network and discusses the important technological aspects of how it is to be constructed. Finally, it presents the results of the laboratories'recent research which include some innovative work, point out the areas requiring future investigation.
Tooth movement is a result of mutual physiologic responses between the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone stimulated by mechanical strain. The PDL cell and osteoblast are known to have an influence on bone formation by controlling collagen synthesis and alkaline phosphatase activation. Moreover. recent studies have shown that the PDL cell and osteoblast release osteoprotegerin (OPG) and the receptor activator of nuclear factor ぉ ligand (RANKL) to control the level of osteoclast differentiation and activation which in turn influences bone resorption. In this study. progressively increased, continuous tensional force was applied to PDL cells. The objective was to find out which kind of biochemical reactions occur after tensional force application and to illuminate the alveolar bone resorption and apposition mechanism. Continuous and progressively increased tensile force was applied to PDL cells cultured on a petriperm dish with a flexible membrane The amount of $PGE_2$ and ALP synthesis were measured after 1, 3, 0 and 12 hours of force application. Secondly RT-PCR analysis was carried out for OPG and RANKL which control osteoclast differentiation and MMP-1 -8, -9, -13 aud TIMP-1 which regulate the resolution of collagen and resorption of the osteoid layer According to the results. we concluded that progressively increased, concluded force application to human PDL cells reduces $PGE_2$ synthesis, and increases OPG mRNA expression.

The age category 30 to 35 old represneted $56.2\%$ of the total number studied. $59.4\%$ of therapists had worked more than 7 years and therapists usually$(46.9\%)$ worked from 6 month to 2 years at the PHC. Junior college graduates were $84.4\%$, and respondents with family responsibilirt were $65.6\%$. Second, Recently pain control has become the major requirment of patiants at PH$(53.1\%)$. If they offered expaneded services - a rehabilitation program $(53.1\%)$, home vistation $(31.3\%)$. when asked about a working guide book, nobody had one. Third, $68.7\%$ of therapists were aware of the present level of CBR, $40.9\%$ of them had gotten an information from educated colleagues, and $68.7\%$ of therapists were aware of the present level of CBR, $86.4\%$ of therapists felt responsible to provide rehabilitation Fourth, For CBR, $93.7\%$ had positive ideas in which they could participate. $73.3\%$ wished to composed a team of various rehabilitational specialists. $73.3\%$ wished for the meeting day to be flexible and $86.6\%$ desired to meet once or twice a week. Fifth, Almost all$(96.9\%)$ desired more educational opportunity about CBR. Example, once or twice a year$(56.2\%)$ and training period of 4-7 days $(43.7\%)$. They wanted to learn theory and practice together$(74.2\%)$ and $74.2\%$ wanted the mational multi-rehabilitation center as a educational managing organization. Sixth, The most important requirment for accomplishing CBR by physical therapists was job security and an adequate number of therapists$(84.4\%)$ Required number of physical therapists in the PHC was 3 $(43.7\%)$. The cooperative agency should be the district goverment organization $(56.2\%)$. Factors inhibiting the execution of CBR were lack of administrative support, physical therapists, and equipments for pain control and for therapeutic exercise.
The Present study analyzed the pressure-flow characteristics of a Korean shunt valve. Changes in the characteristic currie depending on the design parameters were also investigated. The Korean shunt valve used in the present study was constant pressure type and our analyses were validated through experiments. We applied fluid-structure interaction to solve the flow dynamic Problem because the small diaphragm in the valve was made from flexible silicone elastomers. Considering the material nonlinearity of the hyper-elastic material. the Mooney-Rivlin approximation was employed. The results of the numerical analyses were close to the experimental results The major Pressure drop was observed to happen in the small diaphragm. The slope of the pressure-flow characteristic curve was computed to be 0.37mm$H_2O$.hr/cc, which was similar to the average value of commercial shunt valves. 0.40mm$H_2O$.hr/cc. Therefore. our valves analyzed in the Present study showed a Proper Pressure control characteristics of the constant pressure type shunt valves. The opening pressure could be controlled by adjusting the amount of predeflection of the valve diaphragm. In order to obtain opening pressures of 25mm$H_2O$ and 80mm$H_2O$, respectively, and the required predeflection was found to be 10.2$\mu$m and 35.3$\mu$m. The flow orifice size was found to be within 10$\mu$m during valve operation Therefore, Precision design and manufacturing techniques are necessary for successful operations of the shunt valve. The study indicated the amount of predeflection as well as the magnitude of corner rounding of the diaphragm edge are important design parameters to influence the slope of the pressure-flow characteristic curve.

A lower extremity exoskeleton is a robot device that attaches to the lower limbs of the human body to augment or assist with the walking ability of the wearer. In order to improve the wearer's walking ability, the robot senses the wearer's walking locomotion and classifies it into a gait-phase state, after which it drives the appropriate robot motions for each state using its actuators. This paper presents a method by which the robot senses the wearer's locomotion along with a novel classification algorithm which classifies the sensed data as a gait-phase state. The robot determines its control mode using this gait-phase information. If erroneous information is delivered, the robot will fail to improve the walking ability or will bring some discomfort to the wearer. Therefore, it is necessary for the algorithm constantly to classify the correct gait-phase information. However, our device for sensing a human's locomotion has very sensitive characteristics sufficient for it to detect small movements. With only simple logic like a threshold-based classification, it is difficult to deliver the correct information continually. In order to overcome this and provide correct information in a timely manner, a probabilistic gait-phase classification algorithm is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm offers excellent accuracy.

Future Internet should support more efficient mobility management, flexible traffic engineering and various emerging new services. So, lots of traffic engineering techniques have been suggested and developed, but it's impossible to apply them on the current running commercial Internet. To overcome this problem, OpenFlow protocol was proposed as a technique to control network equipments using network controller with various networking applications. It is a software defined network, so researchers can verify their own traffic engineering techniques by applying them on the controller. In addition, for high-speed packet processing in the OpenFlow network, programmable NetFPGA card with four 1G-interfaces and commercial Procurve OpenFlow switches can be used. In this paper, we implement an OpenFlow test-bed using hardware-accelerated NetFPGA cards and Procurve switches on the KREONET, and implement CSPF (Constraint-based Shortest Path First) algorithm, which is one of popular QoS routing algorithms, and apply it on the large-scale testbed to verify performance and efficiency of multimedia traffic engineering scheme in Future Internet.

The concentration of welding fume was measured by 221 welders themselves in chassis frame workplace of the manufactory from February, 1, 1996 to May, 31, 1997. Welding parameters were the welding current and the distance between helmet and arc. Those two optimum conditions were proposed by excess probability analysis using logistic regression, so the best position in the workplace was proposed considering two factors to control the welding fume. The results are as followings; 1) The excess proability of welding fume TLV was over 99% in above 260 Amperes of welding current and also in below 30cm of distanced between helmet and arc. 2) The equation from logistic regression analysis using SPSS/PC+5.02 had the welding current as a independent variable and the excess of welding fume TLV as a dependent variable (p<0.05). Logit(welding fume TLV) = 0.1296 ${\times}$ wlding currnet - 28.8750 3) The equation from logistic regression analysis using SPSS/PC+5.02 had the distance between helmet and arc as a independent variable and the excess of welding fume threshold limit value a, a dependent variable (p<0.05). Logit (welding fume TLV) = -0.6809 ${\times}$ distance between helmet and arc +25.1665 4) Considering both cases or 2) and 3). the result equation is following. (p<0.05). Logit (welding fume TLV) = 0.1346 ${\times}$ welding current -0.3859 ${\times}$ distance between helmet and arc -15.7382 5) The excess probability of welding fume threshold limit value was 100% in above 240 Ampere of welding current. Thus, below 220 Ampere can be suggested to reduce the 40% number of welders who have a excess welding fume threshold limit value. 6) The excess probability of welding fume TLV was 100% in below 34cm of distance between helmet and arc. Thus, over 38cm can be suggested to reduce the 33% number of welders who have a excess welding fume TLV. 7) Considering both 5) and 6) cases, first of all, the best welding current can be 200 Ampere to have a below 15% of welding fume excess probability for the welders who works in distance of 34-37cm. Secondly, to have a below 30% excess probability of welding fume TLV, the working distance must be over 38cm in 220 Ampere and 32cm in 200 Ampere. 8) To reduce the average exposure concentration of welding fume ($8.21{\pm}5.83mg/m^3$), the movable local exhaust system equipped with flexible hoods can be used.

This study was conducted to improve the insufficiency of fruit vegetable grafting system developed by National Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Rural Development Administration. When the rotary blade cut the stem of scions and rootstocks, the grafting failure at curved cutting surfaces happened. The cutting depth of a tomato seedling by a rotated cutter was calculated 0.11 mm even when the cutting arm length and the maximum stem diameter were 50 mm and 5 mm, respectively. Mathematical analysis and high-speed photography showed that there was no problem by cutting in straight the stem of scions and rootstocks. The compression test of seedling stems to design the optimal shape of gripper showed that stems were not completely restored when they were compressed above 0.8 mm and 0.6 mm in case of rootstocks and scion, respectively. This study found that the bending angle of stem of tomato seedlings at the grafting period was 10 degree on average. The optimal gripper finger was the edge finger type which could be precisely set center point by adjusting the distance between fingers. In addition, it was found that most of seedling could be grasped without damage when the finger-to-finger distances is set to 2.5 mm for scion and 3.0 mm for rootstocks and finger are coated by 1 mm-thick flexible material.
To determine the compatibilities of soft liming materials with denture cleansers by measuring the flexibility and elasticity and investigating the surface changes, 4 self-curing acrylic resin soft lining materials and 1 heat-curing silicone soft lining material were evaluated. 3mm thick x 20mm diameter discs of soft lining materials were individually bonded to a hard acrylic resin base as per manufacturers’instructions. Using an Instron universal testing machine, a static stress of $2kg/cm^2$ was applied for 30secs., the strain in compression was measured, giving an indication of the material’s flexibility. Elastic recovery was measured at 10secs. After removal of stress. Surface changes were investigated with Stereomicroscope. Then the specimens were immersed in 4alkaline peroxide denture cleansers and water as control group, tests were carried out at 1 day, 2 days, 7 days, 14 days and 30 days. The results were as follows : 1. Alkaline peroxide denture cleansers caused considerable porosity on the surface of selfcuring acrylic resin soft lining materials, and the most affected by the cleansers were Viscogel, Coe-Soft, Coe-Comfort, Lynal, in that order. 2. There was significant difference in flexibility between each soft lining material except for Coe-Comfort and Visco-gel, and every soft lining material was significant difference in elasticity. Especially Molloplast-B and Lynal were less flexible and more elastic than other soft lining materials(p<0.05). 3. The denture cleansers increased the flexibility and elasticity of the soft lining materials compared with control group(p<0.05), and Denalan, Polident, Kleenite, Efferdent affected the soft lining materials in that order. 4. There was significant difference in flexibility between each denture cleanser except for Denalan and Polident(p<0.05). Though Denalan and Polident, Denalan and Kleenite did not show significant difference in elasticity, other denture cleansers showed significant difference among each other(p<0.05). 5. Clinically Coe-Comfort, Coe-Soft and Visco-gel were incompatible with alkaline peroxide denture cleansers, and Lynal would be used within only 2 weeks. But Molloplast-B was compatible with alkaline peroxide denture cleansers.
