노르딕 워킹이 퇴행성 무릎 관절염 노인여성의 근력과 유연성, 균형 및 통증에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Nordic Walking Exercise on muscular strength, Flexibility, Balance and Pain in Older Woman with Knee Osteoarthritis)

  • 본 연구는 퇴행성 무릎 관절염을 가진 노인여성을 대상으로 12주간의 노르딕 워킹을 통해 신체 기능과 관절염 통증 정도의 개선에 어떠한 효과를 미치는지 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상자는 퇴행성관절염으로 진단받은 노인여성 16명(나이: 73.00±3.70year, 신장: 154.30±4.07cm)을 대상으로 무선배정 된 노르딕 워킹 운동그룹(n=9)과 통제그룹(n=7)으로 나누었다. 운동 그룹은 노르딕 스틱을 이용하여 12주간 주 3회, 1회 30분 노르딕 워킹 운동을 실시하였고, 운동 강도는 HRR의 40-60%로 설정하였다. 통제그룹은 동일한 기간 동안 일상생활을 유지하도록 하였다. 종속변인으로 신체조성(체중, 체지방률, 근골격량)과 근력 과 유연성(상·하지 근력, 상·하지 유연성), 균형능력(정적균형, 동적균형) 및 통증정도를 측정하였다. 이러한 지표들의 측정은 운동프로그램을 진행하기 전과 후로 나누어 2번 측정하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS-PC version 25.0을 이용하여 실험집단과 통계집단간의 생리학적 특성 비교를 위해 독립표본 t-test를 사용하였으며, 노르딕 워킹 운동그룹과 통제그룹의 그룹 간, 시기간의 변화를 알아보기 위해 2×2 반복측정 이원배치분산분석을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 12주간의 노르딕 워킹을 통해 신체조성 기능에서 체지방률은 운동 처치 후에 감소하는 결과가 나타났으며(p=.004), 집단 간과 시기 간의 상호작용에서도 감소하는 결과가 나타났다(p=.003). 골격근량은 운동처치 후에 증가하는 결과가 나타났으며(p=.018), 집단 간과 시기 간의 상호작용에서도 증가하는 결과가 나타났다(p=.005). 둘째, 근력과 유연성은 상지근력과 하지유연성에서 집단 간과 시기 간 상호작용에서 증가하는 결과가 나타났으며(p=.009)(p=036), 하지근력에서는 운동집단과 통제집단 간 개선효과가 나타났다(p=.006). 또한, 상지유연성은 운동처치 후에 증가하는 결과가 나타났다(p=.020). 셋째, 균형능력 요인은 정적균형에서 운동처치 후 개선 효과가 나타났으며(p=.016), 동적균형에서는 차이가 나타나지 않았다(p>.05). 넷째, 통증정도는 운동처치 후 개선 효과가 나타났으며(p=.022), 운동집단과 통제집단 간에 개선 효과도 나타났다(p=.013). 결론적으로 12주간의 노르딕 워킹은 퇴행성 무릎 관절염을 가진 노인여성의 신체조성과 근력과 유연성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 노르딕 워킹은 퇴행성 무릎 관절염을 가진 노인여성에게 신체조성과 안정성, 균형성을 높여 주였으며, 무릎 관절의 통증을 낮춰주어 재활 운동 기능 개선에 효과적인 운동방법이라고 사료된다.

Exercise Using Isokinetic Strength Training Equipment and Physical Function Improvement

  • Objective: This study aims to explore the relationship between isokinetic strength training and the enhancement of physical function in older adults. It also evaluates the effectiveness of isokinetic strength training equipment. Method: This study randomly divided twenty healthy adults into two groups.The experimental group engaged in isokinetic strength training for 30 minutes, three times a week, over a four-week period. In contrast, the control group did not participate in any exercise regimen. We assessed several outcome measures including physical functions (sit-to-stand test, flexibility, Timed Up and Go test), grip strength, balance, thigh circumference, the Korean version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and the Korean version of the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). Additionally, the experimental group's self-perceived improvement in lower limb condition was evaluated using the Global Rating of Change (GROC) scale. Results: The experimental group showed significant improvements compared to the control group in various aspects: reduced sit-to-stand test duration (7.00±2.05 seconds), increased flexibility (4.69±3.90 cm), improved grip strength (1.54±1.74 kg), increased thigh circumference (left: 1.29±1.19 cm, right: 1.19±1.27 cm), enhanced Timed Up and Go test performance (-1.47±0.86 seconds), better balance (eyes open stance: -8.08±4.03 cm, eyes closed stance: -0.27±0.13 cm/s), and a decrease in depression severity (-0.15±1.51 points). Furthermore, significant increases were observed in the experimental group's maximal isokinetic strength at 90°/s for both flexion (19.62±7.03 Nm) and extension (19.60±14.65 Nm) over the study period. Conclusion: The findings suggest that isokinetic strength training equipment can significantly enhance physical functions in seniors when incorporated into an exercise regimen.

단일 페라이트 공진기를 이용한 4단자 스트립라인 서큘레이터 (A four-port stripline circulator using a single ferrite disk)

  • 본 논문에서는 그린 함수(Green's function) 방법을 이용하여 하나의 페라이트 디스크를 사용하는 4 단자 스트립라인 서큘레이터 설계 방법을 제안한다. 통신 시스템 설계의 유연성을 높일 수 있는 4 단자 서큘레이터는 이제까지 2개의 3 단자 서큘레이터를 연결하여 사용하고 있다. 이를 하나의 페라이트 디스크를 사용하는 4 단자 서큘레이터로 대체하면 무게와 부피를 감소시킬 수 있어서 위성용으로 장점을 갖는다.

Feuerstein의 FIE 프로그램이 영재아의 실행기능에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Feuerstein's FIE Program on Gifted Children's Executive Function)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of Feuerstein's program on Gifted children's executive function. The subjects for this study were 40 Gifted children (3th year elementary students) from KAGE. Twenty were randomly allocated to the experiment group and the other 20 to the control group. The results of this study were as follows: The experiment group exhibited statistically significant improvement in attention control, cognitive flexibility and information process procedure compared to the control group. The results proved that FIE program had an effect on improvement of executive functions in gifted children.

건강운동 프로그램이 중년여성의 신체조성과 심폐기능 및 체력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Health Exercise Program on the Body Composition, Cardiopulmonary Function, Physical Fitness in Middle-Aged Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the of regular worksite health exercise program participation on related fitness. Subject for study were 34 middle-aged women in Kwangju-city. To achieve this, body composition, cardiopulmonary function, physical fitness of every subjects were measured before and post regular health exercise program participation during 12 week. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Regular health exercise program participation result from improving the body composition, but there is not significant different statistically(p〈.05). 2. Significant differences were observed in the cardiopulmonary function(vital capacity, VO$_2$ max) after regular exercise program during 12 week(p〈.05). 3. Significant differences were observed in the flexibility(sitting trunk flexion), abdominal endurance(sit-ups), power (standing high jump), agility(trunk reaction time) after regular exercise program during 12 week(p〈.05).

  • The calcium-induced structural changes in the skeletal muscle regulatory protein troponin C (NTnC) involve a transition from a ‘closed’to an ‘open’structure with the concomitant exposure of a large hydrophobic interaction site for target proteins. Structural studies have served to define this conformational change and elucidate the mechanism of the linkage between calcium binding and the induced structural changes. There are now several structures of NTnC available from both NMR and X-ray crystallography. Comparison of the calcium bound structures reveals differences in the level of opening. We have considered the concept of a flexible open state of NTnC as a possible explanation for this apparent discrepancy. We also present simulations of the closed-to-open transition which are in agreement with the flexibility concept and with experimental energetics data.

T-게이트 통합 모듈에 의한 조합 MVL 함수의 구성 (Construction of Combinational MVL Function Based on T-Gate Integrated Module)

  • An optimal variable assignment algorithm is presented as a decomposition method of MVL functions. A given 3-valued combinational logic function is disintegrated into subfunction composed of the function dependant relation, then extracted implicant output elements from subfunctions are assigned to a T-gates. As a circuit implementation tool, a programmable integarated T-gate module is proposed, and the construction procedure of combinational MVL functions is systematized in each step. This method is expected to give properties of the systematic procedure, possibility of T-gate number reduction, unification of module, and flexibility of module composition. Specially variable decomposition method can be pointed out as an approach to solving the limitation problem of the input and output terminal number in VLSI implementations.

  • This paper presents a damage assesment method for buried pipelines subjected to Deep Excavation-induced ground movements. Ground deformation characteristics resulting from 3D finite element analysis was represented mathematically by a hyperbolic tangential function. A parametric study was performed on excavation depth and burial position of pipeline. The result of the parametric study indicate that length of hyperbolic tangential function affects the results of damage assessment. Using numerical studies for buried pipeline response to ground movements by relative flexibility of the pipe-soil system. The result of numerical studies are presented in forms of design charts which can be readily used for various condition encountered in practices.

Study of Optimal Location and Compensation Rate of Thyristor-Controlled Series Capacitor Considering Multi-objective Function

  • Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) application study on enhancing the flexibility of AC power system has continued to make progress. A thyristor-controlled series capacitor (TCSC) is a useful FACTS device that can control the power flow by adjusting line impedances and minimize the loss of power flow and voltage drop in a transmission system by adjusting line impedances. Reduced power flow loss leads to increased loadability, low system loss, and improved stability of the power system. This study proposes the optimal location and compensation rate method for TCSCs, by considering both the power system loss and voltage drop of transmission systems. The proposed method applies a multi-objective function consisting of a minimizing function for power flow loss and voltage drop. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using IEEE 14- and a 30-bus system.

SHARE: 효율적인 출력 PHASE 할당을 이용한 PLA 최소화 (SHARE: PLA minimization based on an efficient output phase assignment)

  • When realizing a multiple-output function by a PLA, there is often the flexibility to choose either uncomplementary or complementary phase for each output. In this case, it is possible to significantly reduce the number of product terms by fully exploiting the freedom. This paper presents a PLA phase for each output of a multiple-output function so that the product terms for each output are maximally shared with the other outputs. and then minimizes the multiple-output function with the assigned output phase assignment. The algorithm has been implemented on Sun4/330 in C language and compared with the previous approaches for 56 example PLA`s. The proposed algorithm has obtained better results for 18-32 PLA's, worse results for 1-5 PLA`s, and the same results for 23-33 PLA's. Moreover, the computation time is much less than for the previous approaches.
