폴리에틸렌 하수관 연결용 전기발포융착 이음관에 관한 연구 (A Study of Electro-foaming Fusion Wrap for Polyethylene Sewer Pipe)

  • A electro-foaming fusion wrap fitting for polyethylene sewer pipe was built and foaming mechanism has been studied. A foaming sheet, supporting sheet and clamping band is assembled into a all-in-one structured electro-foaming fusion wrap fitting. To specify foaming and fusion of electro-foaming fusion wrap for PE sewer pipe, series of fusion tests were performed in various conditions. A parallel plate compression test up to 50 % of inner diameter deflection has been performed to check integrity of fusion quality and it was found that there were no visible signs of crack in wrapped area of fitting. Also air tightness test based on KS M 3511-2 has been performed to evaluate perfectness of wrap fusion quality and we found there were no pressure drop up to 10 times higher value than KS standard regulation.

  • This paper describes the design of a forged fitting form to acquire a method of product design measurement by target measurement standards. The pipefitting connects each pipe and combines seals and nipples with the pipes normally. Therefore, the section combined with the fitting pipe was measured by a 3D scanner, and the acquired measurement and the design measurement were obtained after modification of the forged fitting pipe by that standard. Moreover, the accuracy of the model was verified through leakage testing of the oil and verification of the design measurement for accuracy decisions on the design measurement after modification of the product.

  • Metal sealing is used to connecting the parts between valves and fuel pipes for a FCEV which utilizes hydrogen gas of 700 bar. Instead of general carbon steel, stainless steel is the primary material used to manufacture fuel pipes due to hydrogen embrittlement. The shape of deformation between metals is an important factor on the air-tightness of the metal to metal contact. Since the stainless steel pipe is hardened using the plastic forming during the tip shaping stage, this work hardening could have an effect on the deformed shape and characteristics of contact surfaces in fastening of pipes. In this paper, the deformation history of the pipe model was considered in order to analyze the hydrogen-tightness on the metal sealing part. The contact distance and the forward displacement for fastening were compared using experimental results and the simulation results. The simulation of the effect of material change on the fitting body demonstrated that the hardness or the strength of the formed tip of the pipe was designed to a proper valued level since the characteristics of the contact surface was exhibited better when the strength of the pipe was lower than that of the fitting body.

배관용 관 이음쇠 내외경 동시 교정툴의 신뢰성 평가 (Study of Structural Reliability of Pipe-Fitting Collet Tool)

  • In the present study, the structural safety of the bolt portion and collet tool structure of the pipe-fitting tool is analyzed by using the finite element technique. Two forces as piston forces with the magnitude of 187.5 Tons are applied to the inner and outer portions of the collet tool, respectively. A structural load of 750 Tons is applied to the bolt portion. In the analysis results, it is found that the structure becomes safe under the current loading conditions. The reliability rating of the pipe is calculated in this study. The material properties of the actual material are evaluated by using mechanical testing. Therefore, the material properties are used to carry out static structural and optimization analysis.

  • In connecting parts of a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, since the rubber ring is permeable to hydrogen, it is necessary to use a metal sealing structure which ensures leakage stability. Finite element analysis was performed to verify the fitting characteristics of the metal sealing structure, which is used to connect the pipe to a high pressure hydrogen FCEV tank. Deformation shape, contact distance and axial load were compared experimentally and these values were in agreement with each other. In the contact surface, between the pipe and the fitting body, the stress at the edge of the contact surface was higher than the center point, which was considered to be a good characteristic in view point of the leakage. The location of the contact points has almost no change in the upper part of the fitting, but that of the lower parts move downward as the fastening amount increases. The contact pressure at the lower part is maintained at the same constant level.

초장축 스테인레스/복합재료 파이프의 피팅 공정 개발 (Development of Fitting Process for Extra Long Stainless/Composite Material Pipes)

  • Rubbing-roller is used for manufacturing liquid crystal display, and static displacement of the rubbing-roller becomes bigger as length of the rubbing roller made of aluminum is getting longer. Therefore, material of the rubbing-roller is changed from aluminum to CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced plastic). Recently thermal spraying is applied to manufacturing process of long rubbing-roller. The thermal spraying has disadvantages such as increment of manufacturing time and fraction defective caused by density of stainless steel particle. In this study, fitting process by drawing was suggested and FEM analysis with Tsai-Wu failure theory and fitting experiments are carried out to find adequate shrink allowance. The suggested shrink allowance gives proper adhesive force, and CFRP failure is not occurred. Furthermore, the fitting process is applied to long rubbing-roller and availability of the fitting process is studied by measurement of roundness, straightness and shear strength.

파이프 체결을 위한 3차원 측정 및 기구적 구속조건 기반의 설계 방식 (Designs of Pipe Fitting with Three Dimensional Measurement and Kinematic Constrained Equations)

  • 선박은 다양한 파이프 배관을 필요로 하는 거대한 시스템에 해당한다. 내부의 복잡한 파이프를 배치하는 것은 설계 도면을 따라 진행되지만, 실제 현장에서는 측정 및 시공 오차에 의해 파이프간 체결 위치가 서로 맞지 않는 경우가 다수 발생하게 된다. 이러한 경우, 연결할 양쪽 파이프의 위치를 측정하여 어긋난 위치를 보정하는 파이프 체결부를 새로 설계하여 연결작업을 완료하게 된다. 본 연구는 이러한 오차를 가진 파이프 체결 공정을 기술적 접근을 통해 보완하고자 한다. RGBD 센서의 질점 정보를 이용하여 파이프 위치를 측정하고 양쪽 파이프간의 상대적 위치, 방향의 틀어짐을 로봇의 역기구학으로 해석하여 체결부 파이프의 외관을 보정, 설계하는 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 파이프의 위치 측정을 위한 질점기반의 정합 과정 및 확률 기반 접근론인 RANSAC을 이용하여 파이프의 좌표계를 추정하고 실험을 통해 제시한 방법의 정확도를 논하고자 한다. 또한 파이프 체결부 설계를 위해 최소한의 자유도를 이용하여 연결가능한 기구학적 정보의 추출 방법론을 다루고자 한다.

  • This study deals with a basic proposal to prove the safety for the exhausted fittings of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. First, this study was approached to numerical analysis solving to close the exact boundary condition (Axial, Bending, Lateral) and the second, this study produced the Lateral movement equipment for the vibration. For the numerical analysis, This study was considered with the exact solution of Lateral movement and the resonance effect for durability sample according to fitting positions. The second, This study was made for special equipment for displacement/gas leak and the frequency because the domestic samples were comparing with foreign fitting and foreign fitting for the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The result of this study was satisfied with domestic fittings for the basic reference but it need more test because of other situation for hydrogen fuel cell vehicle.

Thermoforming Technology of Textile Composite Tubes

  • Thermoforming of fiber reinforced thermoplastic (FRTP) braided tubes was studied as a new forming technique. FRTP braided tubes with four plies are fabricated by the pressure bonding method are used in thermoforming. Bulge forming, bending process, pipe fittings and FE analysis are carried out in this study. In bulge forming the composite tube can be expanded up to about two times initial diameter. The suggested bending process can be obtained bent products with various bending radii. In pipe fitting it is possible to fabricate T-shape fitting, cross fitting and two-branch fitting. These results exhibit developed forming processes become useful processes for textile composite tubes.
