한국 남해안 부어류의 음향반사강도에 관한 연구 I. 멸치 (Engraulis japonica)의 in situ 반사강도 측정 (Acoustic Target Strength of the Pelagic Fish in the Southern Waters of Korea I. In situ Measurement of Target Strength of Anchovy (Engraulis japonica))

  • 우리나라 연안에 분포되어 있는 주요 어업대상어종의 자원량을 측정하기 위한 기초자료를 얻기 위하여 남해동부연안에 분포하는 멸치어군을 대상으로 Split beam 어군탐지기를 이용하여 in situ TS를 측정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 본 조사에서 어획물의 $95\%$가 멸치였으며, 그 체장빈도 분포는 체장범위 $13.6\~15.4cm$, 평균체장 14.4cm이었고, 체중빈도 분포는 체중범위 $16\~28g$ 평균체중 21.9 g이었다. 2. 멸치의 반사강도는 수심 $10\~30m$ 에서 $-40.7\~-69.2dB,\;30\~50m$, 수층에서 $-42.2\~-67.7dB,\;10\~50m$ 수층에서 $-42.2\~-67.7dB$의 범위였고, 그 빈도분포에는 2개의 mode가 명확하게 분리되어 나타났다. 3. 멸치의 평균반사강도는 -49.7 dB/fish 및 -33.1 dB/kg 이었으며, $90\%$ 신뢰구간은 1 dB 이하였다. 또한, 멸치의 반사강도 (TS)와 체장 (cm)과의 관계는 다음과 같았다. Oxytetracycline과 neomycin 복합제의 약욕에 따른 양식 넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus)의 근육내 잔류량 변화 (Muscle distribution level after dipping administration of a combination of oxytetracycline and neomycin in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus)

  • 본 연구에서는 넙치 (평균체장 및 무게: $20{\pm}2.0cm$, $70{\pm}5.0g$)에 옥시테트라사이클린(oxytetracycline, OTC)-네오마이신(neomycin, N) 복합제를 25-10 ppm 및 50-20 ppm으로 용해하여 2일 동안, 3시간씩 약욕을 실시하였고, 약물투여 중지 후 1일, 5일, 14일, 40일째에 시험군별로 각각 5마리씩 넙치의 근육을 채취하여 항생제 잔류농도를 조사하였다. OTC와 N 표준용액을 농도별로 희석하여 표준곡선을 작성한 결과 각각 $R^2=0.9999$, $R^2=0.9952$로 양호한 직선성을 나타내었고, OTC와 N 회수율은 각각 90~93%, 88~95%가 관찰되었다. 잔류농도에 대한 측정결과, OTC와 N 복합제를 25-10 ppm 투여한 시험군에서 1일째 OTC는 $0.97{\pm}0.084{\mu}g/ml$이 검출되었고, N은 $0.118{\pm}0.079{\mu}g/ml$이 검출되었으나 5일째 이후부터 검출이 되지 않았다. OTC와 N 복합제를 50-20 ppm 투여한 시험군에서 1일째 OTC는 $1.324{\pm}0.062{\mu}g/ml$이 검출되었고 N은 $0.788{\pm}0.05{\mu}g/ml$이 검출되었으나 5일째 이후부터 검출이 되지 않았다.

  • 방어로부터 추출한 근원섬유 현탁액을 $0^{\circ}C$(빙장), $-3.5^{\circ}C$(PF저장), $-20^{\circ}C$(동결저장)에 저장하면서 Ca-과 Mg-ATPase활성을 측정하여 근육단백질의 변성을 조사하였으며 일부는 생선을 각 온도에 일정기간 저장한 후 근원섬유를 추출하여 단백질 변성정도를 비교한 결과 추출한 근원섬유를 저장하였을 때 빙장 및 PF저장한 시료의 ATPase활성은 비슷한 수준이었으나 동결 저장한 시료에서는 현저히 낮았다. 생선을 각 온도에 1주일간 저장한 후 추출한 근원섬유의 소활성은 근원섬유를 미리 추출하여 같은 기간동안 저장한 경우에 비하여 빙장과 PF저장에서는 1.2-1.8배, 동결저장에서는 2.5-3배 정도 높은 수준을 유지하고 있었다. 근원섬유를 각 온도에 저장하였을 때의 변성속도는 Ca-의 경우가 Mg-ATPase에 비 해 2-3배 빨랐으나 생선으로 저장한 경우에는 Ca-과 Mg-ATPase간에 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았다.

음향 실험 및 모델 기법을 이용한 도루묵 (Arctoscopus japonicus)의 음향산란반사강도 특성 (Target strength characteristics of sailfin sandfish (Arctoscopus japonicus) using ex situ experiment and acoustic model)

  • Acoustic target strength (TS) measurement and theoretical acoustic scattering models were applied to estimate the TS for assessing the fish biomass. TS measurement was made of ex situ sailfin sandfish Arctoscopus japonicus at 70 and 120 kHz, and then compared to backscatter model prediction. The live sandfish was tethered in seawater using monofilament lines. Measurements were made versus incidence angle, $-50^{\circ}$ to $50^{\circ}$ relative to dorsal aspect directions. Distorted wave Born approximation (DWBA) model was used to calculated TS pattern. The TS values of sandfish (body length: 16.2 cm) at 70 and 120 kHz were -66.94 dB and -64.45 dB, respectively, and were about 20 dB lower than TS of other fishes in Korea waters. These TS levels were distributed within the range of the theoretical TS. Ex situ measurement and theoretical TS may be applied to improve acoustical detection and biomass estimation of the sandfish, and is necessary to measure with various lengths.

연근해 자망과 통발 어업의 온실가스 배출량 현장실측 연구 (Comparative study of greenhouse gas emission from coastal and offshore gillnet and trap fisheries by field research)

  • Fossil fuel combustion during fishing activities is a major contributor to climate changes in the fishing industry. The Tier1 methodology calculation and on-site continuous measurements of the greenhouse gas were carried out through the use of fuel by the coastal and offshore gillnet (blue crabs and yellow croaker) and trap (small octopus and red snow crab) fishing boats in Korea. The emission comparison results showed that the field measurements are similar to or slightly higher than the Tier1 estimates for coastal gillnet and trap. In offshore gillnet and trap fisheries, Tier1 estimate of greenhouse gases was about $1,644-13,875kg\;CO_2/L$, which was more than the field measurement value. The $CO_2$ emissions factor based on the fuel usage was $2.49-3.2kg\;CO_2/L$ for coastal fisheries and $1.46-2.24kg\;CO_2/L$ for offshore fisheries. Furthermore, GHG emissions per unit catch and the ratio of field measurement and Tier1 emission estimate were investigated. Since the total catch of coastal fish was relatively small, the emission per unit catch in coastal fisheries was four to eight times larger. The results of this study could be used to determine the baseline data for responding to changes in fisheries environment and reducing greenhouse gas emission.

  • The author tried to clarify the distribution of the total length and body weight of the file h, Navodos modcstus, caught by trawl net during July, 1984 in the southern sea korea. Among the catches of five times fishing operation, 1540 individuals were randomly sampled for the measurement. The results are summarized as follows; " The distribution of total length showed bimodal type, wbich was able to analyzed into two normal distributions N(17.46, 1. 02^2) and N(22.09, 1. 77^2). And smaller group was much than older one. The age of the sample estimated from the total length distribution of. smaller group was 1. 5 to 2, and the larger group 2. 5 to 4. The relationship between the total length and the body weight can be presented as following equation: $$W=0.01726 L^{2.8507}$$ ' or $$W= 0.01109 L^{3.0}$$ or $$W= 0.01109 L^{3.0}$$.

산업폐수 방류수에 대한 생태독성 평가

  • The toxicity of 54 selected process effluents of 16 industry classifications in Korea was evaluated by bioassay test using fish Oryzias latipes, invertebrate Daphnia magna, algae Selenastrum capricornutum and bacteria Vibrio fischeri. Our results demonstrate that the toxicity assessment, such as bioassay test, is effective and of practical use for industrial wastewater management in 54 selected effluents with the limitation of the physico-chemical permit. Among 54 effluents, 4 sample failed physico-chemical permit limitation and 50 passed it. The physcio-chemical measurement items and permit concentrations on the present Water Quality Conservation Act are low related a ecotoxicity.

Force identification by using specific forms of PVDF patches

  • This paper deals with the experimental validation of the use of PVDF Patches for the assessment of spatial derivatives of displacement field. It focuses more exactly on the shear Force Identification by using Specific forms of PVDF patcHes (FISH) on beams. An overview of the theoretical approach is exposed. The principle is based on the use of the weak form of the equation of motion of the beam which allows the shear forces to be extracted at one edge of the sensor when this last has a specific form. The experimental validation is carried out with a cantilever steel beam, excited by a shaker at its free boundary. The validation consists in comparing the shear force measured by the designed sensor glued at the free edge and the directly measured force applied by the shaker. The sensor is made of two patches, called the "stiffness" patch and the "mass" patch. The use of both patches allows one to identify correctly the shear force on a large frequency domain. The use of only the stiffness patch is valid in the low frequency domain and has the advantage to have a frequency-independent gain that allows its use in real time.

  • In general, in order to operate an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) in an underwater environment, a navigation system such as a Doppler Log (DVL) using a Doppler phenomenon of ultrasonic waves is used for speed and direction estimation. However, most of the ultrasonic sensors in underwater is large for long-distance sensing and the cost is very high. In this study, not only canal neuromast on the fish's lateral lines but also superficial neuromast are studied on the simulation to obtain pressure values for each pressure sensor, and the obtained pressure data is supervised using spherical CNN. To this end, through supervised learning using pressure data obtained from a pressure sensor attached to an underwater vehicle, we can estimate the speed and angle of the underwater vehicle in a quasi-static underwater environment and propose a method for a non-ultrasonic based navigation system.

현수법과 모델을 이용한 조피볼락의 유영자세각과 체장에 따른 음향 후방산란강도 (Target strength estimation by tilt angle and size dependence of rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) using ex-situ and acoustic scattering model)

  • Rockfish was a commercially important fish specie in marine ranching areas in Korea. To estimate density and biomass of rockfish using acoustic method, target strength (TS) information is required on the species. This study measured TS dependence on tilt angle and size on 14 live rockfish individuals at 38, 70, and, 120 kHz by ex-situ measurement (tethered method) and acoustic scattering model (Krichhoff ray mode, KRM). The swimbladdered angle ranged from 18 to $30^{\circ}$ ($mean{\pm}s.d.=26{\pm}4^{\circ}$). The mean TS for all individuals was highest -35.9 dB of tilt angle $-17^{\circ}$ at 38 kHz, -35.4 dB of tilt angle $-25^{\circ}$ at 70 kHz, and -34.9 dB of tilt angle $-22^{\circ}$ at 120 kHz. The ex-situ TS-total length (TL, cm) relationships were $TS_{38kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-67.1$, $TS_{70kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-68.6$, and $TS_{120kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-69.9$, respectively. The model TS-total length (TL, cm) relationships were $TS_{38kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-66.4$, $TS_{70kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-67.0$, $TS_{120kHz}=20log_{10}(TL)-67.0$. The two measurements between the ex-situ TS and KRM model for TS-tilt angle and fish size were found to be significantly correlated.
