  • The present study was to develop a dry PFB method similar to the existing gypsum board construction method in order to apply the existing wet PFB method that uses fire.resistant adhesive. It was found that the existing wet method can produce concrete compressive strength of 80MPa and fire resistance of 3 hours with 30mm PF boards. The goal of development in this study was fire resistance of 3 hours through dry construction of 15mm fire.resistant boards.According to the results of fire resistance test, when the dry PF method was applied, the temperature of the main reinforcing bar was 116$^{\circ}$C in 15mm, 103.8$^{\circ}$C in 20mm, and 94$^{\circ}$C in 25mm, and these results satisfied the current standards for fire resistance control presented by the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs. When a 3.hour fire resistance test was performed and the external properties of the specimen were examined, the outermost gypsum board hardly remained and internal PF board maintained its form without thermal strain.

  • An experimental investigation was earned out to evaluate the fire performance of high strength concrete column made with different section size. Two different high strength concrete columns measuring 3,428mm in height and with the same tie spacing of 150mm were prepared to evaluate the effect of section size of $305{\times}305mm$ and $500{\times}500mm$ on the fire resistance. Compressive strength was 138MPa at the time of fire resistance fire testing. Based on the test result, fire resistance of column with the larger section of $500{\times}500mm$ exhibited the better performance than that of the smaller section of $305{\times}305mm$. The former withstood against the very high temperature over 240minutes, while the latter resisted during 176minutes.

  • It is the aim of this study to investigate the fire resistance design Guidelines for high-strength concrete structure for example compressive strength more than 40Mpa. It is well know that explosive spalling due to fire attack of high strength concrete is related to concrete failure. so, the purpose of this study introduce the fire A Studty on the Fire Resistance Design Guidelines for High-Strength Concrete Structures of AIK for the response of explosive spalling of high strength concrete.

  • Four different polymer compounds were manufactured to make cable sheaths for the shipping industry. Two kinds of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) as the main matrix polymers and EVA-grafted maleic anhydride (EVA-g-MAH) as the coupling agent were selected for compounding with fire retardant, crosslinking agent, filler, plasticizer, and other additives. The properties of the four compounded materials were investigated with different contents of the fire retardant, silanecoated magnesium dihydroxide (S-MDH). In the rheology evaluation, the $t_{60}$ and ${\Delta}T$ values increased with increasing S-MDH contents. On the other hand, the tensile strength decreased with increasing S-MDH content due to a relative decrease in binder polymers. With increasing S-MDH content, fire resistance increased, but cold resistance showed no obvious enhancement due to the polar effect of vinyl acetate in EVA.

  • A two-hour fire-resistance PC hollow slab for residential use was developed to secure structural and fire-resistance performance and to be applied to the general building and apartment housing markets. Compared to the existing hollow slab, in order to secure the same or better structural performance and economic feasibility by reducing the quantity, it was attempted to secure the fire resistance performance by reducing the concrete filling rate in the cross section and adjusting the thickness of the upper and lower flanges by optimizing the hollow shape in the cross section of the slab. For structural performance evaluation, experiments were performed on PC hollow slabs by varying the member thickness and the presence or absence of overlaid concrete, and all of the experimental results showed that the design strength was sufficiently exhibited and that stability during construction was possible. The developed synthetic PC hollow slab has secured fire resistance and residential performance so that it can be applied to all buildings, and it is intended to be immediately applied to the field.

  • This study, to evaluate the technology of the fire resistance design of Reinforced Concrete columns based on fire resistance performance design, was suppose to use as basic data for performance design through a measure of temperature and deformation using heat transfer analysis and Heat-load test of the Reinforced Concrete columns as parameter is the axial load ratio. In accordance with axial load without eccentricity, the load ratio of 0.30, 0.35, 0.40 and 0.47 were imposed on columns. As a result of this study, 0.40 or more of axial load ratio can be ensured that the fire resistance performance was considered satisfactory.

  • In this study, the fire resistance performance of a simple support composite beam, which was sprayed with fire protection coatings, was evaluated. Primary valuables of the study are loading and unloading, shape of composite beam and metal lath of the web. The thickness of the fire protection coating to the three hour resistance is 40mm, but the fire resistance test was performed with 25mm coatings. The test result showed that TSC composit beams with 25mm fire protection coatings can resist on fire for three hours at the both loading and unloading tests. Average and maximum temperatures were less than $250^{\circ}C$ and $310^{\circ}C$ respectively, compared with the standard temperatures for fire resistance on the loading and unloading tests.

  • When structural elements of steel framed structures are exposed to fire situations, the structural stability begins to decrease due to dislocation of substantial. The increase of the beam length causes an additional stress and deflection. These can be serious factors to cause a severe failure of structures. To improve the fire resistance of beams, prevention of the heat from a fire by coating with fire protection material is essential for beams. The FR 490 was developed to enhance fire resistance compared with SM 490 steel. However, the fire resistance of FR 490 H-beams has not been evaluated by analysis method since it was developed. In this paper, materials properties in high temperature and a heat transfer and thermal stress theory were used in the evaluation of the fire resistance of FR490 H-beams. The fire resistance of FR490 steel beams was compared with that of SM490 beams. The comparison verified that the structural stability of FR490 beams at high temperature was superior to that of SM490 beams.

  • Recently, structural materials have been developed to have high performance, and SM 520 has been developed and used for high-rise buildings. However, fires frequently occur in buildings, and the number of victims and amount of damage increase year by year. However, the evaluation of fire resistance performance for structural beams made of SM 520 is done with specimens made of ordinary structural steels with boundary conditions of a fixed beam, and the results are allowed for use in steel-framed buildings. This study analyzed the fire resistance performance of statistically indeterminate beams built with SM 520. The analysis used a fire engineering technique that includes mechanical and thermal data of SM 520 and heat transfer theory, and heat stress analysis was also conducted. The results from the analysis were compared with those from a statistically determinate beam made of ordinary structural steels.
