  • While the extruded cement panel has many advantages compared to drywall, it has limited applicability in buildings due to its low fire resistance. However, an extruded panel in which the fire resistance has been dramatically enhanced through the addition of a-hemihydrate gypsum is expected to become widely applied as a partition wall or interior material for buildings. To ensure its applicability, certain safety requirements for use, such as the leaning load by residents, the impact by indoor articles, and the fire, need to be taken into consideration. The purpose of this study is to review the impact load resistance, horizontal load resistance, and fire resistance as required safety properties for the partition wall and interior materials of the extruded panel that includes a-hemihydrate gypsum. The results of this study show that the impact load resistance of the extruded panel that includes a-hemihydrate gypsum achieves SD grade for industrial buildings, and the horizontal impact load resistance achieves HD grade for public buildings. In addition, it provides fire-resistance for approximately 7 minutes longer than the existing extruded cement panel. Based on this result, it is confirmed the extruded panel incorporating a-hemihydrate gypsum has adequate safety properties for use as partition wall or interior material.

  • Gypsum is an important building material used to provide fire resistance to constructions by reducing their temperature rises. As the hardened gypsum is exposed to fire, evaporation of both the free water and the chemical bond water is easier than that in the cement extruding panel. The purpose of this study is to investigate the utilizability of alpha-hemihydrate gypsum to prevent spalling failure of cement extruding panel exposed to fire. This paper reports the fire-resistance property of a controled general cement extruding panel(C100), and gypsum-cement extruding panels(C50A50, A100) according to replacement ratio of alpha-hemihydrate gypsum. As a results, it is found that A100 and C50A50 are more effective to prevent the explosive spalling failure under standard fire condition than C100.

  • In the longway tunnel and underground traffic road, the structure of transverse ventilation system is constructed by the airpit slab. In this study, the full scale specimens of the PSC airpit slab that attached fire resistance panel are performed the static and dynamic loading tests for evaluation of bending capacity. The first of all, it confirmed the evaluations about the fundamental efficiency of the fire resistance panel and PSC slab by the 3-point bending test and pull-off test. The tests are performed for evaluation of the bending resistance under ultimate static load and the bonded capacity under dynamic fatigue load. A fatigue test is performed for an investigation of the effect on wind pressure that is developed by transit of traffic. The damage or debonding on surface between fire resistance panel and PSC slab was not developed in dynamic fatigue load test, also the behavior of the specimens is very stable and the debonding of the fire resistance panel attached at the bottom surface of PSC slab was not developed in static load test, too. Therefore, the crack or debonding of the fire resistance panel will be not developed by external loads during the construction or completion of the precast fire resistance system.

  • Purpose: In this study,fire-resistance test were executed to evaluate the effectiveness of the fireproof panel attached to the PSC slab in tunnel. Method: For the fire resistance test, the RWS curve was applied and the furnace of the KICT was used. Result: As a result of the experiment, the maximum temperature measured on the concrete surface of the PSC slab with the fireproof panel was 321.8℃, which was lower than the damage limit temperature of 380℃ for concrete. Also, at the t=25mm, the maximum temperature was 35.2℃, which was lower than the damage temperature of steel, 250℃. The use of precast fire resistance panel(t=30mm) improves fire resistance of PSC structures. Conclusion: As a result of the test, a reinforcement method for attached a fireproof panel in case of fire in a tunnel or an underground roadway is provided to protect a structure from fire. In the future, it is necessary to perform the static performance test of the slab to which the fireproof panel is attached, and to confirm the adhesion performance of the fireproof panel by performing the pull-off test and the fatigue test.

  • In this Study, the performance of precast PSC slabs with fire resistance panel for fire resistance of the tunnel system was evaluated by experimentally. The fire test was performed in fire resistance (electric) furnace according to RABT(Richtlinien fur die Ausstatung und den Betrieb von stra${\beta}$entunneln) time heating temperature curve. The test results showed that the measured temperatures at the t=0 mm depth of PSC slab with precast fire resistance panel during a fire was maximum temperature $367^{\circ}C$, lower than $380^{\circ}C$ (ITA 2004), when damage occurs. Also, at the t=25 mm, the maximum temperature was $239^{\circ}C$, which was lower than the damage temperature of rebar, $250^{\circ}C$. From the results, the use of precast fire resistance panel (t=25 mm) improves fire resistance of PSC structures.

  • This study discussed the prevention of the spalling and improvement of the fire resistance performance how to fill up lightweight foamed concrete on high strength RC column attached with the stone panel. The destructive spalling extremely occur caused by sudden high temperature and increased vapor pressure corresponding to falling the ston panel at all RC column, and the steel bar is exposed. The stone panel fall off about 30 minutes and spalling occur about 70 minutes on Plan RC column, fire endurance paint, and fire endurance mortar, so it can be confirmed that fire endurance paint and mortar, which is used as fire endurance material, are not effective. In the other side, it can be protected from fire about $120{\sim}140$ minutes when the lightweight foamed concrete is used as fire endurance material. For the weight loss after the fire test, plain is 33, fire endurance paint is 37%, and fire endurance mortar s 40.7%. And W/B 60%-3 is 53.4%, 60%-1.5 is 40.1%,65%-3 is 39.4%, and 65%-1.5% is 47.1. Overall, the weight loss of the plain is lower than that of the lightweight foamed concrete.

  • To prevent energy waste in buildings used heat insulator. Heat insulator materials can be classified inorganic and organic. The organic material is due to toxic gas emission, when a fire occurs. And it has lower water resistance. The inorganic material is heavy and worse thermal performance than organic materials. Technologies on energy saving and materials used in curtain walls have progressed with increase of high-rise and large buildings. However, there is little study to explain fire resistance performance of the curtain walls. This study focused on evaluation of the physical properties of light-weight inorganic foam panel for using industrial by-products materials and performance evaluation by mock up test.

  • Structure Insulated Panel (SIP) is an wooden structure material with which structure and insulation functions are satisfied. Hence, it would be a cost-effective model to implement low energy house which has higher insulation and structure performance and which the wall thickness is able to be reduced. In this study, performance of thermal insulation and fire resistance were evaluated in order to verify applicability to low energy house. Fire resistance test is performed on vertical load bearing members for partitions, and the test results satisfy one hour of fire resistance condition according to KS F 2257. The members include two layers of fireproof gypsum board with thicknesses of 12.5mm attached to SIP. Thermal insulation performance is satisfied with the 2012 standard ($0.225W/m^2{\cdot}K$). As the performance of resistance and thermal insulation are satisfied, SIP is expected to be applied to low energy building materials. In the future, the structural safety will be confirmed by structural performance and seismic performance test and the guidelines for distribution will be drawn up.

  • The extruded cement panel, which has many advantages as a prefabricated method, has been limited in its application due to its low fire-resistance. However, an extruded cement panel produced by mixing a-hemihydrate gypsum offers dramatically improved fire-resistance and is expected to have wide-ranging applications in the construction sector as an interior material or partition wall between housing units. Sound insulation performance is very important for the partition wall between housing units. In this study, the sound insulation performance of the extruded cement panel produced through the mixture of a-hemihydrate gypsum is reviewed in order to determine its usability for a partition wall between housing units and for interior materials. Through the review it was found that the wall formed using the extruded cement panels produced by mixing the a-hemihydrate gypsum have ★★★ class in sound insulation test, equal or superior compared with the other two types of extruded cement panel walls currently available in the market.
