  • Estimation of process safety is important in the chemical process design. Prediction for flash points of flammable substances used in chemical processes is the one of the methods for estimating process safety. Flash point is the property used to examine the potential for the fire and explosion hazards of flammable substances. In this paper, multivariate statistical analysis methods(partial least squares(PLS) quadratic partial least squares(QPLS)) using experimental data is suggested for predicting flash points of flammable substances of binary systems. The prediction results are compared with the values calculated by laws of Raoult and Van Laar equation.

  • The mold transformers have been widely used in underground substations in large building and have some advantages in comparison to oil-transformer, that is low fire risk, excellent environmental compatibility, compact size and high reliability. In addition, the application of mold transformer for outdoor is possible due to development of epoxy resin. The mold transformer generally has cooling duct between low voltage coil and high voltage coil. A mold transformer made by one body molding method has been developed for small size and ow loss, but it needs some cooling method because heat radiation between each winding is difficult. The life of transformer is significantly dependent on the thermal behavior in windings. Many transformer designers have calculated temperature distribution and hot spot point by finite element method(FEM) to analyze winding temperature rise. In this paper, The thermal analysis of pole mount mold transformer with one body molding by duct condition is investigated and the test result of temperature rise is compared with simulation data.

  • Accurate heat release analysis of cylinder pressure data is important for evaluating performance in the development of diesel engine However, traditional single zone first law heat release model(SZM) has significant limitations due to the simplified assumption of uniform charge and neglecting local temperature inside cylinder during combustion process. In this study. heat release rate based on single zone heat release model has been evaluated by comparison with computational analysis results using Fire code which is based on multi-dimensional model(MDM). To overcome limitations due to simplicity of single zone assumption. especially the influence of specific heat ratio on gross heat release has been esteemed and newly suggested were the equation $\gamma$= $\gamma$(${T/T}_{max}$) which describes the variations of gases thermodynamic properties with mean temperature and maximum mean temperature inside cylinder Single zone heat release model applied with this equation is shown to give very good results over whole range of operating conditions when compared with computational analysis results based on multi-dimensional model.

  • Purpose: This descriptive correlational study investigated the effects of violent experience and resilience on burnout in emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: The participants were 160 EMTs working in fire stations (safety center and local center) located in U, B, and D city. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test post-hoc analysis, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0. Results: The number of EMTs getting into ambulances was significantly associated with violent experience, resilience, and burnout. Position of EMTs was significantly associated with both resilience and burnout. In the multiple regression analysis, the subscales of durability and optimism in resilience were significantly associated with burnout after controlling for confounding variables. Conclusion: This study indicated that improving durability and optimism in resilience was important to cope with experience of violence and to prevent burnout in EMTs.

  • The considerations for reminder life of transmission line is gradually higher. It is requisite for investigation of ACSR life to test tensile load of ACSR as a fundamental data. It is vary important to analysis correlations between results of tensile load testing and elapsed years. Estimation of ACSR life can be obtained by statistics processing using mechanical experimental results. It is a general method to use regression analysis as a statistics processing technique. In this paper, we did experiment on tensile strength of ACSR by using a new and due to flame for artificial fire, and gathering due to a flame. The limit of life estimation is decided by basic line using twenty percentage reduction of rate tensile strength. This basic line is like to results of Canada Ontario Hydro-research. There are $480[mm^2]$ ACSR which are experimented on this study.

  • The transformer is major equipment in power receiving and substation facilities. Necessary conditions required for the transformer are compactness, lightness, high reliability, economic advantages, and easy maintenance. The pole-mount transformer installed in distribution system is acting direct role in supply of electric power and it is electric power device should drive for long term. Most of modem transformer are oil-filled transformer and accident is happening considerable. The mold transformers have been widely used in underground substations in large building and have some advantages in comparison to oil-transformer, that is low fire risk, excellent environmental compatibility, compact size and high reliability. • The purpose of this study is to explore how adolescents' psychological characteristics affect their sense of life safety according to gender. To this end, a survey was conducted on male and female high school students in six schools in the C area, and a total of 1,048 data were used for analysis. Differences in major variables according to gender were verified, and the effect of psychological characteristics on living safety awareness was analyzed through hierarchical multiple regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, depression, anxiety, type A characteristics, and the presence or absence of experience in accidents did not significantly affect life safety awareness in the male student group. On the other hand, in the female student group, anxiety and type A characteristics had a significant effect on life safety awareness. Anxiety negatively affects living safety awareness, and type A characteristics have been shown to have a positive effect on living safety awareness. The presence or absence of depression and accident experience did not significantly affect life safety awareness. The results of these studies suggest that gender differences should be considered in education to prevent life safety awareness and that education that reflects the psychological characteristics of adolescents is necessary.

  • To use the OneSAF model for the analysis of Defence M&S, the most critical factor is the acquisition of input data. The model user is hard to determine the input data such as the probability of hit(Ph) and the probability of kill(Pk). These data can be obtained directly by live fire during the development test and the operational test. Therefore, this needs more time and resources to get the Ph and Pk. In this paper, we reviewed possible ways to obtain the Ph and Pk. We introduced several data producing methodologies. In particular, the error budget method was presented to convert the Ph(%) data of AWAM model to the error(mil) data of OneSAF model. Also, the conversion method which can get the adjusted results from the JMEM is introduced. The probability of a hit was calculated based on the error budget method in order to prove the usefulness of the given method. More accurate data were obtained when the error budget method and the projected area from the published photo were used simultaneously. The importance of the Ph calculation was demonstrated by sensitivity analysis of the Ph on combat effectiveness. This paper emphasizes the importance of determining the Ph data and improving the reliability of the M&S system though steady collection and analysis of the Ph data.
