경계요소법과 유한요소법을 이용한 발전용 고압 증기터빈 케이싱의 구조해석 (Structural Anaysis of High Pressure Steam Turbine Casings for Power Plants Using the BEM and the FEM)

  • Structural analyses are preformed for the high pressure steam turbine casings of the nuclear and the fossil power plants. An axisymmetric boundary element program for analysis of the casings is developed and applied in the process of practical structural design. To show the useful-ness and accuracy of the developed program results of the analysis are compared with those of the finite element analysis under hydrostatic test pressure, To check the validity of the axisymmetric numerical analysis of the casings the stresses resulting from the hydrostatic test pressure are measured using the strain gate. The results of the numerical analyses are compared and discussed with those of the experiments.

  • This study is conducted to examine the theoretical background of characteristics for electric shock encountered in special high-voltage electric lines among the accidents of electric shock, and to calculate applied current to human body and field strength over the head by means of numerical anaysis through FEM(Finite Element Method), and to make clear the hazard level to the human body, and to establish the approach limit distance of human body to the electric lines, which could be applied to the safety standard while working in the vicinity of special high-voltage electric lines.

  • 본 논문에서는 Chen, Kobayashi에 의한 강소성 유한요소법 프로그램을 이용하 여 마찰조건 및 형상비(H$_{O}$/D$_{O}$)가 0.75, 1.0, 1.5에 따른 금형 접촉면상의 응력분포 및 반경방향 증분량 그리고 번형률 분포 등을 고찰하고 실제로 알루미늄과 .alpha.-황동의 두 종류 재료를 사용하여 이론과 동일한 마찰조건과 형상비에 대해 실험함 으로써 그 변형 특성을 F.E.M. 결과와도 비교 고찰하였다. 또한 시편 실험에서 파괴 시까지 실험하여 그 형상도 살펴보았으며 이전 연구와도 비교하여 보았다.

열유동을 고려한 SMC 압축성형공정의 3차원 유한요소 해석 (Coupled Thermo-Viscoplastic Three Dimensional Finite Element Anaysis of Compression Molding of Sheet Molding Compound)

  • SMC(Sheet molding compound) is a thermosetting material reinforced with chopped fiberglass. The compression molding of SMC was analyzed based on a rigid thermo-viscoplastic approach using a three dimensional finite element program coupled with temperatures. Only the temperature analysis part was tested in this paper by solving one-dimensional heat transfer problem and comparing with the exact solutions available in the literature. Based on this comparison the program was proved to be valid and was further applied in solving compression molding of SMC between flat dies. To investigate the usefulness of a rigid thermo-viscoplastic approach in the compression molding analysis of SMC charge, compression of rectangular shaped SMC charge at plane strain and three dimensionalde formation condition was analyzed under the same condition as given in the literature. From this comparison it was found out that the rigid thermo-viscoplastic approach was useful in analyzing SMC compression molding between flat dies.

정적 반복하중을 받는 노후된 철근콘크리트 T형교의 파괴해석 (Failure Analysis of Deteriorated Reinforced Concrete T-Girder Bridge Subject to Cyclic Loading)

  • 본 논문은 공용년수가 오래되어 노후화된 철근콘크리트 교량의 파괴가지의 거동에 예측하기 위한 비선형 파괴해석 모델링 기법이 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문에서는 비선형파괴해석을 위해철근부식으로 인하여 철근주변 콘크리트의 열화를 고려한 인장경화모델을 제안하였으며 교량의 노후화된 지점조건을 고려할 수 있는 지점 모델링 기법을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델을 사용하여 반복하중을 받는 노후화된 철근콘크리트 T형 교량이 파괴될 때까지의 2차원 및 3차원 파괴해석을 수행하였으며 파괴시험으로부터 분석된 교량의 파괴거동과 비교하였다. 해석결과와 실험결과의 비교로부터 본 논문의 모델링기법이 노후화된 교량의 파괴해석에 유용하게 사용될 수 있으며 노후화된 지점조건의 모델링이 교량의 강도평가에 매우 큰 영향을 주는 것을 규명하였다.

극저온까지 온도변화에 따른 질소 충전 소형 금속 벨로우즈의 변형 해석 (Deformation Analysis of Miniature Metal Bellows Charged Nitrogen for Temperature Change to Cryogenic Condition)

  • Bellows is used to control temperature of a Joule-Thomson micro cryocooler. It is made of Nickelcobalt alloy that retains mechanical properties from cryogenic temperature to temperature of 570K. The geometry of bellows is an axisymmetric shell and Nitrogen with high pressure was charged at temperature of 293K. During cool-down process, the pressure and volume of Nitrogen are changed and must be satisfied with state equation. At cryogenic temperature, Nitrogen can exist as a part liquid and part vapor. Pressure-density-temperature behavior under this vaporliquid phase equilibrium is closely given by the Modified-Benedict-Webb-Rubin(MBWR) state equation. To evaluate deformation of bellows for temperature change, the numerical calculation of the volume within bellows and finite element analysis of bellows under internal pressure were iteratively performed until MBWR state equation is satisfied. The numerical results show that deformation of the bellows can be analyzed by the present method in a wide range of temperature including cryogenic temperature.

  • Resistance to lateral torsional buckling of steel I-girder (open section) is a very important design requirement. But, most studies of steel I-girder with corrugated webs were invested in shear behavior. Untill now, most studies about Lateral torsional buckling of I-girder with corrugated webs have been based on Lindner.J's study (Lateral torsional buckling of beamswith trapezoidally corrugated webs,1990). the study includes that the pure torsional constant of I-girder with corrugated webs $J_{cor}$ doesn't different from that of I-girder with flat webs. This paper pesents pure torsional constant of I-girder with corrugated webs by using finite element anaysis.

강-콘크리트 합성구조물의 비선형해석을 위한 화이버 유한요소 혼합법 (Fiber Finite Element Mixed Method for Nonlinear Analysis of Steel-Concrete Composite Structures)

  • 강성도법에서는 평형상태의 해석을 통해 구조물의 변위를 바로 산정할 수 있다. 그러나 변위형상함수를 사용하여 강성행렬과 부재내력의 계산이 근사적으로 수행되므로 유연도법에 비해 정확도가 낮은 단점이 있다. 종래의 유연도법에서는 변위형상 함수를 사용하지 않고 평형방정식을 만족하는 단면력-절점력 관계를 사용하여 단면력을 산정하므로 요소 내의 모든 단면에서 평형방정식을 만족시킬 수 있다. 그러나 유연도법은 강성도법에 비해 요소상태의 결정이 용이하지 않은 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 강성도법과 유연도법의 장점을 활용하여 강-콘크리트 합성구조물의 비선형해석을 위한 새로운 화이버 유한요소 혼합법(mixed method)을 개발하였다. 제안된 방법은 하중제어를 통한 Newton 방법을 사용하고 수치해석적으로 효과적이고 수렴성이 우수한 증분할선탄성계수법에 기반을 두고 있다. 또한 제안된 방법을 사용하여 강-콘크리트 합성구조물을 해석하였고 그 결과를 상용프로그램인 ABAQUS와 비교하였다. 그 결과 제안된 방법은 강-콘크리트 합성구조물의 비선형 거동을 정확하게 평가하였고 경제성이 매우 우수한 방법으로 입증되었다.

잔류응력과 계면접합강도를 고려한 금속복합재료의 열탄소성 변형 해석 (Thermal Elasto-Plastic Deformation Analysis of Metal Matrix Composites Considering Residual Stress and Interface Bonding Strength)

  • As the interface bonding phenomenon between the matrix and the reinforcements has a large effect on the mechanical properties of MMCs, a sugestion of the strength analysis technique considering the residual stress and the interface bonding phenomenon is very important for the design of pans and the estimation of fatigue behavior. In this paper the three dimensional finite element anaysis is performed during the elasto-plastic deformation of the particulate reinforced metal matrix composites. It was analyzed with the volume fractions in view of microscale. Bonding strength. interface separation and matrix void growth between the matrix and the reinforcements will be predicted on deformation under tensile loading. An interface seperation is estimated by the fracture criterion which is a critical value of generalized plastic work per unit volume. The shape of the reinforcement is assumed to be a perfect sphere. And the type of the reinforcement distribution is assumed as FCC array. The thermal residual stress in MMCs is induced by the heat treatment. It is included at the simulation as an initial residual stress. The element birth and death method of the ANSYS program is used for the estimation of the interface bonding strength, void generation and propagation. It is assumed that the fracture in the matrix region begin to occur under the external loading when the plastic work per unit volume is equal to the critical value. The fracture strain will be defined. The experimental data of the extruded $SiC_p$>/606l Al composites are compared with the theoretical results.
