  • This study is purposed to understand the usage of the color and the material pattern in detail and to apply for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the color and the pattern at random. While the usage of the color and the materials was ignored rather than architectural form, the importance of the color and the materials stands out in modern interior space. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed case pieces for storage and wall partition for division as architecture, and he units furniture and architecture by developing partition that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as wall partition. He loved white and lie believed in using it for interiors, but noted that it should also be balanced with a wall related polychromy. Color became an integral part of white structure of the villa savoye that was raised on stilt with an exterior wall at the base painted green as a visual connection with the lawn. Color was used architecturally in the interior as well, with white walls interrupted by planes of pink, blue and red ocher and it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with tile color of the finishing materials. the various usage of the color and material patterns constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection.

  • This paper reports the test results of the floating floor system used to reduce the floor noise of apartment buildings. Recently, many soft resilient materials placing between the reinforced concrete slab and finishing mortar are used. The resilient material should not only reduce the floor impact sound vibration from the floor but also support the load on the floor. Thus, even if soft resilient materials satisfy the maximum limitation of light-weight impact sound and heavy-weight impact sound, these materials may not support the load on the floor. The experimental program involved conducting sixteen sound insulation floating floor specimens. Three main parameters were considered in the experimental investigation: resilient materials, loading location, and layers of floor. Experimental results indicated that the stiffness of resilient material significantly influenced on the structural behavior of floating floor system. In addition, the deflection of the floating concrete floor loaded at the side or coner of the specimen was greater than that of the floor loaded at the center of the specimen. However, the aerated concrete did not effect on the cracking strength of floating floor system.

  • Radon gas, which is present on the earth, is a primary carcinogen released from rocks, soil, building materials, etc., and exists as a unique gas phase. In order to solve the risk of radon gas, we evaluated the basic performance which can be used as indoor finishing materials in addition to the radon gas reduction properties of the matrix using anthracite. An anthracite used as a conventional filter material was used to produce a matrix, and a test was conducted to replace the gypsum board, which is one of the building materials used in the existing room. As the anthracite replacement ratio increases, flexural failure load strength increases and thermal conductivity tends to decrease. Depending on the thickness of the board, the reduction performance of radon gas shows a slight difference.

  • Tire codes are made of materials such as hemp, cotton, rayon, nylon, steel, polyester, glass, and aramid are fiber reinforcement materials that go inside rubber to increase durability, driveability, and stability of vehicle tires. The reinforcement of the tire cord may construct a composite material using tires such as automobiles, trucks, aircraft, bicycles, and fibrous materials such as electric belts and hoses as reinforcement materials. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the adhesive force between the rubber and the reinforced fiber exhibits the desired physical properties in the rubber composite material made of a rubber matrix with reinforced fibers. This study is a study on the heat treatment conditions for improving the adhesion strength of the tire cord and the reinforced fiber for tires. The core technology of the drying process is a uniform drying technology, which has a great influence on the quality of the reinforcement. Therefore, the uniform airflow distribution is determined by the geometry and operating conditions of the dryer. Therefore, this study carried out a numerical analysis of the shape of a drying nozzle for improving the performance of hot air drying in a dryer used for drying the coated reinforced fibers. In addition, the flow characteristics were examined through numerical analysis of the study on the change in the shape of the chamber affecting drying.

  • In the shipbuilding and marine industry, as a technology for reducing the weight of parts to reduce energy and improve operational efficiency of ships is required, a method of applying fibers-reinforced composites which is high-strength lightweight materials, as part materials can be considered. In this study, the possibility of applying fibers-reinforced composites to the pipe support clamps was evaluated to reduce the weight of LNGC. The fibers-reinforced composites were manufactured using carbon fibers and glass fibers as reinforcing fibers. Through the computer simulation program, the properties of the reinforcing materials and the matrix materials of the composites were inversely calculated, and the performance prediction was performed according to the change in the properties of each fiber lamination pattern. In addition, the structural analysis of the clamps according to the thickness of the composites was performed through the finite element analysis program. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that attention is needed in selecting the thickness when applying the fibers-reinforced composites of the clamp for weight reduction. It is considered that it will be easy to change the shape of the structure and change the structure for weight reduction in future supplementary design.

  • From now on, the aged apartment or house is expected to increase rapidly. So, we have to build a process of remodeling and develop the new technique. Demolition work is needed for systematic plan and management. However, contractors of the remodeling project established a rough plan and did not consider recycling wastes, safety of workers and structural stability of building. Therefore, we need a step to develop a assessment system, verify and make specified. This paper evaluated how much improve on construction speed, work efficiency, intensity of work and influence with another process comparing the existing method with the new demolition method. The qualitative and quantitative assessment system are developed with these output. The case study was carried out experimental group and control group, based on developed assessment system, which have the same condition. The existing method was made up of 3 steps- 1)Demolish windows, doors and iron goods, 2)Demolish indoor and outdoor walls, 3)Drop the waste. The new demolition method was made up of 5 steps- 1)Demolish windows, doors and iron goods, 2)Demolish the ceiling and wall's finishing materials, 3)Demolish the floor's finishing materials, 4)Demolish indoor and outdoor walls, 5)Drop the waste.
