In the radically changing market situation, surface materials of student furniture are a very important element to decide the consumption pattern and the market price. Thus, this study examined the characteristics of surface materials by classifying the student furniture into children's, juniors', and seniors' furniture while accessing the features of such surface materials through Glulam, veneer, poly paper, finishing foil, high pressure melamine (HPM), and low pressure melamine (LPM), and PVC vinyl. When taking a look at the surface materials that were most frequently produced in each domestic furniture company, the combined materials that used more than 2 elements (31.88%), LPM (23.19%), and Glulam (20.29%) were introduced at the market in the order. Regarding the analysis made on colors, the combination colors took more than half (55.32%) followed by brown (13.83%) and beige (11.7%) in the order. Based on the results derived from the analysis, the study suggests to stress more importance to surface materials when developing student furniture and to exert efforts for the consistent development of new materials and quality improvement, as a way to accelerate the development of the furniture industry in Korea.
Impact-bouncing height of steel balls dropped from 1m height on various floor materials were measured to evaluate impact-bouncing characteristics depending on floor materials and the effect of these properties on walkability and fatigue of humanbody. Stone and tile finished concrete floor showed the highest bouncing height of around 70%, and soil showed the lowest bouncing height of around 3%. The second highest bouncing height was about 40% which corresponded to terazo finished concrete floor and about twice as high as the bouncing height on concrete floor without finishing. The impact-bouncing height could be lowered to 15~20% by using gum tile on concrete floor. Steel showed similar bouncing height to concrete floor, and wood-based materials showed the second lowest bouncing height next to soil. Among wood-based materials, hardwood species having higher specific gravities showed relatively high bouncing height of 8~24%, softwood species having low specific gravities showed relatively lower bouncing height of 5~18%, and wood composites showed bouncing height of 8~18%. Among all the materials used in this study, wood-based floor materials corresponded to the bouncing height of 10~15% which is considered to be best for humanbody. Surface painting on wood-based materials increased the bouncing height, and the number of bouncing of steel balls after dropping from 1m height increased as the bouncing height increased.

In Korea, the concentration of cities has led to the high-rise and deep-rise of buildings. In the case of such high-rise buildings, there is a high risk of fire, and the number of internal fires expanding to the outside continues to increase. The Korean Building Act continues to change the ban on combustible exterior materials, and combustible exterior materials are currently not available for buildings with three stories or more than 9 meters, and detailed test standards for finishing materials are also strengthened after the Ulsan residential and commercial fires in 2020. However, the path of fire in the actual building is through a series of processes in which the fire in the compartment grows internally and expands through openings supplied with ventilation factors. Therefore, other than just external materials, design criteria for embedded materials also need to be established. The purpose of this study is to compare standards for internal and external materials at home and abroad and to secure basic data for fire safety design of buildings based on them.
For the Exp. 1, a total of fifty four crossbred [(Duroc Yorkshire)${\times}$Landrace] pigs ($77.67{\pm}1.42kg$ average initial BW) were used in a 41-d growth assay to determine the effects of yucca extract supplementation on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and serum characteristics of finishing pigs. Dietary treatments included 1) Control (basal diet), 2) YE60 (basal diet+60 ppm yucca extract), 3) YE120 (basal diet+120 ppm yucca extract). Average daily gain was not improved by yucca extract supplementation during the whole experimental perid (d 0 to 41). Pigs fed control diet showed the best average daily gain. Pigs fed control and YE120 diets tended to increase average daily feed intake compared with pigs fed YE60 diet (quadratic effect, p<0.0001). Gain/feed with control treatment was significantly better than the YE groups (linear effect, p<0.071). However, there was no significant difference among levels of yucca extract (p>0.10). Apparent digestibility of dry matter in pigs fed yucca extract were greater than for pigs fed control diets (linear effect, p<0.017). Pigs fed YE120 tended to have higher digestibility of nitrogen than pigs fed the control diets (linear effect, p<0.019). There were no significant differences in Total-, HDL- and LDL-cholesterol concentrations of serum, and the blood urea nitrogen (BUN) concentrations in serum was not influenced by the yucca extract supplementation (p>0.10). For the Exp. 2, fifteen [(Duroc${\times}$Yorkshire)${\times}$Landrace] pigs ($25.00{\pm}0.50kg$ average initial BW) were used in a 30-d metabolism experiment to determine the effects of yucca extract supplementation on fecal ammonia gas production. Treatments were : 1) Control (basal diet); 2) YE (basal diet+150 ppm yucca extract); 3) BD (basal diet+100 ppm Bio-Dr; yucca extract+far infrared emitted materials). Fecal ammonia gas production differences between d 0 and d 30 were significantly reduced (p<0.05) by feeding BD compared to control and YE. Also, when pigs were fed the diet with YE tended to be decreased ammonia gas production compared to pigs fed the control diet without significant differences (p>0.05). There were no differences for DM and N digestibility among pigs fed the treatment diets. In conclusion, yucca and (or) far infrared radiological materials can be used to make environment-friendly diets for growing-finishing pigs without negative effects on growth performance and nutrient digestibility.

There are various methods of finishing concrete surfaces, and when considering workability, the spray method is effective, but rebound occurs. The allocation of rebound occurrence control should be adjusted according to the materials used. Thus, a basic study was conducted on multiple techniques for reducing the rebound incidence that are suitable for surface finishing materials containing a photocatalyst. A prior study derived the reduction effect and optimal mix ratio for photocatalytic performance. Based on that study, the rebound reduction was verified according to the specifications of the content and the mechanical durability characteristics of the mixed materials. Rebound, compressive strength, flexural rigidity, and table flow tests were done. The flow was fixed at 170±10 mm considering the workability of the mortar spray equipment. For the experimental variables, the rebound number was adjusted to the silica sand variables relative to the cement weight, and silica sands No. 5 and No. 7 were used. The results show the highest compression strength in the final S-1 variable, and the amount of rebound was minimized. These results were sufficiently filled with the bindings of the silica pores, which increased the binding force between the aggregates, resulting in a lower amount of rebound.
Zein is a hydrophobic protein produced from maize and has great potential in a number of industrial applications, such as food, food coating and food packaging. To obtain suitable electrospinning conditions for thinner and uniform zein nanofiber mats, a series of experiments was conducted on various volume ratios (v/v) of ethanol/water solutions with different zein concentrations. The prepared zein nanofiber mats were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy and contact angle measurements. Uniform zein fibers with a average diameter in the nanometer scale (300~500 nm) could be prepared from 30 wt.% zein in 7/3 (v/v) ethanol/water solutions.
One of organic dye materials which have been long lasting investigated is rhodamine 6G dye series. This dye has been attracted with considerable interests due to the reason of its promising photochemical properties. In this study, a novel fluorescent dye compound based on rhodamine 6G derivative was synthesized through the reaction of rhodamine 6G hydrazide and indole-3-carboxaldehdyde. Absorption and fluorescent emission spectra of this dye were determined with the properties of solvatofluorochromism. Related electron energy states of the dye compound were also characterized by computational calculations.
Shape and size controlled synthesis of gold particles has been studied by using wet-chemical method. When ${AuCl_4}^-$ in aqueous $HAuCl_4$ precursor was reduced using $Na_2SO_3$ as a reducing agent, mixtures of spherical, triangular and hexagonal particles were prepared in a few minutes. It was found that the shape selective oxidative etching by ${AuCl_4}^-\;+\;Cl^-$ anions and crystal growth took place simultaneously. As the ${AuCl_4}^-$ and $Cl^-$ concentration increased, yields of large triangular and hexagonal plate type particles increased, while the spherical particles decreased in most cases. Possible etching and growth mechanisms are discussed.
After an important construction work in Chosun dynasty, the appropriate government made out the building specification as it called 營建儀軌. They are recorded about variety matters as the appointed days, various official documents, managers and craftsmen, etc.. Sometimes we can see the attached pictures about some building or furniture. specifications in Chosun dynasty about the unit of materials and history of each terms. The results are as followings: (1) The interior materials are classified to several units such as Gai(箇;the unit of square lumber or log), Rip(立;the unit of plates), Boo(部;the unit of assembled materials), etc.. (2) The terms are defined and enlightened how to use and how to change. Particularly, the terms are different positively in constituent units of wooden floor. So, it is expected to continuant study.

In this work, poly(diallyldimethylammoniumchloride) (PDDAC) and meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin were considered to produce the self-assembly fabrication films. This method is based on the layer-by-layer (LbL) deposition produced by the electrostatic attraction between positively charged PDDAC and negatively charged porphyrin ions. The result of multilayer fabrication was discussed with the level of color strength (K/S). K/S spectra of the fabricated multilayer films showed gradual increase behaviors. In addition, the color photo images of the fabricated multilayer films showed that PDDAC and porphyrin were successfully attracted by electrostatic self-assembly forces.
