  • Recently, the recycling and reusing of construction and demolition waste concrete is urgently required because waste concrete is greatly increased according to the rapid increasing of urban redevelopment project, but the problem solution for demand and supply unbalance of fine aggregate is urgently required because of the restriction of collecting sea fine aggregate. So the utilization of high quality recycled fine aggregate using construction and demolition waste concrete as new fine aggregate for construction industry is urgently. Accordingly, In this study, As recycled fine aggregate manufacturing technology with exceeding in economical efficiency, reduction efficiency of environmental load and quality improvement effect of recycled fine aggregate, it is to develop dry manufacturing system composed specific gravity separator of high-speed rotation impact type and centrifugal Force Powder Collector, etc. And it is to examine mechanism of recycled sand dry manufacturing system.

  • In this research the physical properties of polymer modified mortar containing pulverized FRP(Fiber-Reinforced Plastics) wastes fine powder as a part of fine aggregate were investigated. Styrene-butadiene rubber(SBR) latex, polyacrylic ester(PAE) emulsion and ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA) emulsion were used as Polymer modifier. Polymer modified mortars containing FRP wastes fine powder were prepared with various FRP wastes fine powder replacement(5∼30 wt%) for fine aggregate and polymer-cement ratios(5∼20 wt%). The water-cement ratio, water absorption rates and hot water immersion test, compressive and flexural strengths of polymer modified mortars were tested and the results compared to those of ordinary portland cement mortar. As the results, compressive and flexural strengths of polymer modified mortar containing FRP wastes fine powder depend on the contents of FRP wastes fine powder, type and additional amounts of polymer modifier. Some of them showed higher compressive and flexural strengths than those of ordinary portland cement mortar. Especially, SBR-modified mortar showed the highest strengths properties among three types of polymer modifier. Also water absorption rates, compressive and flexural strengths of SBR-modified mortar were more superior than those of PAE or EVA-modified mortar. The optimum mix proportions of SBR-modified mortar was 20 wt% of polymer-cement ratio and 20 wt% of FRP wastes fine powder replacement. Otherwise heat cured polymer modified mortar accelerated the improvement of early compressive and flexural strengths.

  • This research investigates experimentally an effect on the properties of the combined high flowing concrete by mix design factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum mix proportion of the combined high flowing concrete having good flowability, viscosity, no-segregation and design strength(40.0MPa). For this purpose, trial mixings used belite cement+lime stone powder(LSP) are tested by mix design factors including water-cement ratio($47.9\~54.0\%$), fine aggregate volume ratio($41\~45\%$) and coarse aggregate volume ratio($41\~45\%$). As test results of this study, the optimum mix proportion for the combined high flowing concrete is as followings. Water-cement ratio $51.0\%$, fine aggregate volume ratio $43{\pm}1\%$ and coarse aggregate volume ratio $0.30{\pm}0.05m^3/m^3$ and replacement ratio of LSP $42.7\%$.

  • When recycled aggregate with old mortar and particles is used in concrete mixing, such aggregates can affect hydration reaction by promoting or inhibiting it. In this study, the possibility of hydration reaction on old mortar and particle was analyzed. Hydration reaction was carried out in old mortar that is finely crushed by an impact machine in the production of recycled aggregates, and it was found that this did have an impact on the strength development of concrete. Unlike in old cement, the hydration reaction did not progress in the particles, and it had high amounts of silica powder and calcium carbonate. In conclusion, the old mortar can have the influence of improving compressive strength, but the particles can delay the setting time of recycled aggregate concrete.

  • Recently, the supply and demand of aggregates has become difficult due to various practical constraints such as depletion of natural aggregate resources and tightening environmental regulations. As a result, aggregates such as selective crushed aggregates and river aggregates are now distributed to the construction market. In particular, among the aggregates distributed in the country, selective crushed aggregates that have been used recently are characterized by the fact that the quality of the raw material is not uniform and is based on geological characteristics. Such bad aggregates can affect the overall performance of the concrete and shorten the life of the structure. Therefore, in this study, in order to improve such problems, we want to analyze the effect of aggregate powder on mortar.

  • In this study, we assessed on quality of mortar using the steel slag powder as binder. Then we investigated properties of mortar in the long term using steel slag for fine aggregate. As a result of experiment, quality of the mortar using steel slag powder appeared too low compared with using only OPC and compressive strength of specimen using the steel slag fine aggregate have similar using crush sand.

  • The recycle of domestic waste concrete is, however, still in an early stage, and it has been only partially being used for the road fillers. As a counter-plan of activating recycled concrete, we have confirmed the hydration possibility of the waste concrete powder from the experiment on recycling the aggregate powder since 2000. Though that study, we have known that the strength is increasing when the baking time is longer, and baking temperature maintain in $700^{\circ}C$. Also, the quality is lowered because of the fine aggregate powder which has a bad influence on flowability & compression strength by adhesion of mortar on the aggregate face. Therefore, mortar and interfacial separation of aggregate are large in proper quality for concrete recycling is expected that affect. The purpose of this study is to investigate effective aggregate separation and to determine the most suitable production method controlling the duration of baking time for recycled cement from the compressive strength, X-ray diffraction and ingredient analysis test.

  • In Powder System, SCC demands high dosage of superplasticizer and a lage amout of powder for suitable fluidity and viscosity. Okamura's method of most representative mixing design method in SCC of Powder-System is unfavorable economically because of using a large amount of powder. In addition, many ready-mixed concrete plants do not use his mix design method and procedure due to complexity for practical application. Therefore, Nan Su proposed more simple mix design method than Okamura's. It had an advantage in simplicity in practical application and required a smaller amount of powders compared with Okamura's method. This paper proposed an optimal mixture proportion of SCC with consideration of Nan Su's method. The new and modified mix design method required a smaller amount of powder than that of Nan Su's. To check the properties of SCC, considered with the requirements specified by the Japanese Society of Civil Engineering.(JSCE)
