  • Based on literature relating to the TAM (technology acceptance model) and TPB (theory of planned behavior), this study extends the TAM in a mobile banking context. The extended model was tested using LISREL analysis on the sample of 222 users who have experience with the banking service. The model was partially supported in a mobile banking context, accounting for 49% of the variance in the usage intention. The results showed that the perceived usefulness, the perceived credibility, and the perceived financial cost play a significant role in influencing the usage intention of the mobile banking service. In addition, instant connectivity and perceived credibility were found to influence the perceived usefulness, and self-efficacy and instant connectivity were found to influence the perceived ease of use. Implications of these findings are discussed for researchers and practitioners.

  • Traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine(CAM) constitutes a major source of health care in developing countries. Its therapies, products and practices are increasing used in industrialized countries, typically by around 50% of the population. However, controls on the provider of CAM services and supply and promotion of complementary medicines are weak in these countries. These trends evoke important public health questions relating to benefits and detriments, safety and quality from medical, financial, and social perspectives. In the western counties, investment in research is increasing, and some guideline is now available for ensuring their quality, efficacy, and safety according to the criteria of evidence-based medicine as legally demanded. National policies and legislation are being developed in many countries and often include partnerships between biomedical and traditional health practitioners. The purposes of the study were to review the policies on CAM, to examine the responses of the government to cope with use of CAM in industrialized countries. Lastly, some implications and recommendation are suggested.

  • When the electric motor car was first introduced, an engineer, responsible for the work related to operation and a conductor for the announcement and management of entrances and the other services like as monitoring the passengers in the platforms used to take together the train for passengers' safe. As new technologies developed and the urban transit system had the automatic driving facilities, automatic door switch and broadcasting systems, to solve the financial problems, most subway systems introduced the one-man operation system. To curtail the operating expense through automatic control and operation for the economical efficiency, the crewless driving system was introduced abroad around 1970 on the light weight train and Japan started the crewless driving system in 2005, Germany started it in June 2008. We examine system requirements of the system and methods to construct safe systems that would be introduced, suitable for one-man operation system or crewless driving system through the surveys and analysis of driving state and the systems.

  • We investigate competition and its impact on borrowers' indebtedness (BI) in South Asian microfinance. Our empirical investigations are based on a comprehensive panel dataset of 355 MFIs located in seven countries in South Asia. The empirical results revealed that microfinance in South Asia is imperfectly competitive and the existing industry shows a monopolistic competition during the period under consideration. Also, the competition increased after the global financial crisis (GFC) in 2007-08 which implies that microfinance uses hostile lending behavior through the adverse selection that is highly risky and it can induce repayment crisis. The empirical findings also show that increased competition has significant negative effects on borrowers' indebtedness, particularly in large-scale and regulated microfinance organizations (MFIs). Instead of using equity financing, debt financing could be a better option. Finally, we find that while competition seems to have some positive effects in economic discourse by channeling technological improvements in products and services, its negative effects in microfinance outweigh the benefits over costs, particularly in poverty-stricken nations. The findings are helpful for the policymakers, microfinance industry, investors, borrowers, and Central Bank of South Asian markets.

  • In Korea, where the world's first cloud computing development law was created, cloud service technology has been developing so far, and the industries to which artificial intelligence and big data technologies can be applied based on this are increasing. It is important for domestic and overseas cloud operators to secure many partners in order to provide optimal services to users. It is also important to systematically develop the partner's technology and discover new partners. In particular, the public, medical, and financial sectors are industrial fields that are difficult for domestic as well as global cloud service providers to expand without the help of partners. This study analyzes partner policies for industries caused by domestic regulations through domestic and foreign cases, and aims to establish partner management policies optimized for the domestic environment.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to clarify the conceptualizations of mandatory and reward that have come into focus in the definition of digital shadow work. And explore how users in a shared services environment view cost and coercion from the perspective of digital shadow work. Design/methodology/approach We conducted one-on-one interviews with 4 participants, with each interview being an average of 25 minutes. Based on literature review, stakeholder observation, and interviews on digital shadow work so far, very objective results can be derived through triangulation based on the basis of multiple sources. Findings According to the results of the preliminary study, there are some rewards for each type of digital shadow work, but time saving and service convenience are considered more than financial rewards. Unfair demands in determining whether to implement them in consideration of the difficulty and expected benefits of the demanding digital work can cause dissatisfaction with the service. Academic implications and future research directions are also discussed.
