The firms aim to acquire services and costs advantage from logistics outsourcing strategy. But it is very important to select optimum service provider. A checklist of the criteria for the evaluation of service providers follows : service quality, low cost, logistics information system, service network, financial stability, investments in plant and equipment, management attitude and lookout for the future strategic fit, cultural and psychological barriers etc. Also, a 8-step implement of logistics outsourcing strategy will be of help for maximizing benefits of logistics outsourcing. It follows : 1-step : logistics environment analysis, 2-step : check service provider availability, 3-step : logistics outsourcing determinant analysis, 4-step : select of optimum service provider, 5-step : contract with optimum service provider, 6-step : identify of remaining barriers, 7-step : performance of logistics outsourcing, 8-step : evaluation.

We discuss the problem of selecting profitable customer orders arriving at a company providing two classes of services. For an arriving customer order for the first class, the company 1) makes a decision whether to accept or reject it (admission control), or 2) decides a price of the order to offer to an arriving customer (pricing control). The customer order undergoing processing in the system may be cancelled owing to unavoidable circumstances with the customer. The second class of service is provided as a sideline, which prevents the server from being idle when all the customer orders for the first class are completed and delivered. This yields the sideline profit. We discuss both admission control and pricing control problems in an identical framework as well as examine the structure of the optimal policies maximizing the total expected present discounted net profit gained over an infinite planning horizon.

Nowaday, financial institutions provide secure mobile keyboard solutions to keep their mobile banking services safe. However, these are still vulnerable to attacks, such as shoulder surfing attack. Especially, in the case of handicapped person such as visual impairment and blindness, they are more vulnerable than ordinary person because of inconvenience of secure information input. Among them, we focused on the color blind. For the color blind, 4-color based secure keyboard method causes more inconvenience to notify exact color. Thus, we propose a secure mobile keyboard solution to provide advanced functionality for the color blind users. Our method is based on 4-color theorem to support color blind users. In addition, our scheme is robust against shoulder surfing attack. According to the evaluation result, our method offers increased security against shoulder surfing attack compare with existing methods.

Currently, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is the epicentre of building services engineering encapsulating the construction industry. On rise of technological advancements, engineers have the ease to thoroughly investigate engineering aspects. Not only engineers, but other stakeholders, tender related people, financial analysts work in parallel as well. However, there are some factors that are stumbling blocks in the way of progression including delaying factors in the construction industry. The paper provides deep insights of delaying factors regarding public building projects of the KSA. Collection of primary data was carried out by conducting a survey which comprised of 63 chief delay factors. Professionals related to construction industry were asked for ranking the factors in terms of their frequency of occurrence and degree of impact. Seven groups of risk factors are categorized and a correlation analysis is performed by identifying the correlation amongst the variables. Finally, 31 leading delay factors are extracted and reported.

The state adopts the policies based on the goals pursued by the state and provides a basic policy for administrative activities related to early childhood education. Therefore, early childhood education policy should be established organically in consultant with the social consent in advance. In most countries will bear the costs of child care and early childhood education can reduce the financial burden of parents and early childhood education consumers are able to understand the will of the government to support the child care services, which they need in a variety of way. The conflict is deepening - among policy officials, front-line institutions participating in policy implementation, and parents - surrounding the infant and early childhood education. And the conflict has caused the difference between this policy and claims that cannot find hardly a solution. In this study, we argue how the policy differences between groups involved in the policy to analyze the influence, to find the policy conflict resolution strategies.

현재 정보(S/W, 컨테츠 등)의 이동은 지리적 한계와 거래비용(Transaction Cost)의 문제를 고려하지 않는다. 이는 정보 중심의 사회로 가는 견인차 역할을 하고 있는 통신 기술의 발전으로 가능하였다. 동시에 통신기술(Internet)의 발달은 S/W의 불법복제 등으로 인한 창작의욕 및 SI 산업 발전에 부정적인 영향을 주는 요인으로도 작용하고 있다. 이에 지속적인 SI 산업 발전을 위한 S/W의 효율적인 보호를 위해서는 기존의 제도적 연구(법률)와 기술적 연구(암호, 은닉기술, 등)를 종합적으로 고찰하여야 한다. 본 연구를 통하여 기존의 국내외 SI 관련 저작권과 S/W 보호를 위한 기술 그리고 법률적 해결방안을 종합적으로 함께 고찰하여 보다 효과적인 S/W 보안을 위한 정책적 시사점을 제시하고자 한다.

Purpose - Transnational corporations (TNCs) have influenced drastic changes (financial services, manufacturing, labor, technology transfer) in Central Eastern Europe (CEE). This paper examines the indirect changes in the CEE pattern of industrial development and market distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - Over 25 years, neighboring (or rival) countries competed to attract TNCs as a double-edged strategy for privatization and debt reduction. Through their experience attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), many countries started to reflect aspects of national capitalism. Countries also began to realize in 2010 that TNCs sought to enter markets with more favorable conditions for export-oriented manufacturing. Results - The analysis reveals that TNC investment strategies were aimed at eliminating local competition to acquire industrial "brown fields" to convert into "green fields." CEE countries have since strengthened their national systems and the support of large-scale state-owned enterprises and small and medium-sized start-up enterprises. Conclusions - CEE has changed based on industrial development and a regional structure of TNC market distribution and associated government policies. The pattern toward flexible markets gives countries the ability to further their economies.

Collaborative filtering is one of the most common methods that e-commerce sites and Internet information services use to personalize recommendations. Collaborative filtering has the advantage of being able to use even sparse evaluation data to predict preference scores for new products. To date, however, no in-depth investigation has been conducted on how the data sparsity effect in customers' evaluation data affects collaborative filtering-based recommendation performance. In this study, we analyzed the sparsity effect and used a hybrid method based on customers' evaluations and purchases collected from an online bookstore. Results indicated that recommendation performance decreased monotonically as sparsity increased, and that performance was more sensitive to sparsity in evaluation data rather than in purchase data. Results also indicated that the hybrid use of two different types of data (customers' evaluations and purchases) helped to improve the recommendation performance when evaluation data were highly sparse.

This study investigates the effects of changes in price, total consumption expenditures and economic sitations on Korean household demands for clothing and footwear using time-series data. The clothing and footwear category was reclassified as clothing, footwear and clothing services items for the demand analysis. This study utilized the Linearized Almost Ideal Demand System (LAIDS) model to analyze household demand. The results indicate that price and total consumption expenditures are significantly related to Korean household consumption expenditure allocations for clothing and footwear items. The effects of the IMF bailout crisis in 1997 and the global financial crisis in 2008 on household expenditure shares for clothing and footwear items were very weak and statistically insignificant. All the demand elasticities were estimated with respect to total consumption expenditures and prices. Clothing was expenditure elastic (greater than one) and other items were classified as inelastic. All the own price elasticities of demands were negative (other than clothing). Through the estimations of cross price elasticity the relationships between the demands for items and other item prices were evaluated (i.e., substitutes and complements).

This paper discusses the current situation of public libraries in Korea, from the viewpoint of Ranganathan's 'Five Laws of Library Science'. Public libraries have very rapidly grown in Korea in the past ten years. With an average growth rate of 5.8% per year, the number of public libraries reached to 703 in 2009, and the number of people served per library have gradually reduced every year, even if still far below other advanced countries. However, there are still some attempts to retrain people of their right to read whatever they want. In this paper, it is emphasized that in public libraries more attention and financial and strategic assistance should be given to the disadvantaged people, and the equal right to benefit from library services should be ensured. And the library as a growing organism should be balanced with the responsible library director, devoted librarians, and concerned people in the community.
