The research of this paper is aimed at finding out the meaning of the literary rhetoric technique of metaphor in film, and understanding the difference between metaphor and symbol. It is also worth reference to the study of metaphor in the future. This paper will read the related paper to organize the relevant concepts and look at the classical film repeatedly, and find the expression element of the metaphor in it. Finally, look at Truman Show and analyze it and find a conclusion. Through related research, we have found that metaphor in movies is always built together through various aspects of themes, titles, lines, and plays. Based on the exploration of the reasons why Shunji Iwai is called "Wong Kar-wai of Japan", this paper compared and studied the image style of two directors films, and explored the theoretical characteristics of their similarities and differences, so as to provide inspiration for the development of Chinese national films. This is the purpose of this paper. Through the search of literature, cultural background analysis of the two directors, film style comparison and film aesthetics comparative analysis and other research methods, this paper made a more in-depth theoretical research on the films of the two directors. It was found that the films of the two directors showed the characteristics of narrative abstraction and image beautification, but there were also some differences in the choice of narrative subjects. The research of this paper provided a new train of thought and starting point for us to study and explore the films of two directors, and pointed out a new direction for us to explore the trend of national films.

A golden age for Korean documentary films has begun in the 2010s. At present, the success of documentary film is attracting interest than any time in history. To meet the timely demand, the present study conducted research on success factors of documentary films for the first time. This study adopted the three categories of Litman's film success factors (creative domain, distribution domain, and marketing domain) and integrated to the cases of Korean documentary films to extract 12 success factors of documentary films through experts' validation process. Moreover, this study applied AHP method and examined the relative importance of success factors of documentary films. The result was as follows. The significant success factors mostly were found within creative domain. Documentaries that feature common themes rated the distribution/marketing factors highly whereas documentaries that cover socio-political themes rated highly the governments funding and infrastructure building. With regard to the online phenomenon of participating viewer, there was a gap in perception: the production field rated it high while the distribution/marketing field rated it relatively low. These success factors and priority will be used as baseline data in diverse fields related to documentary films, and provide significant implications to documentary film staff, policy makers, and researchers.

Christopher Nolan's film "Inception (2012)", which depicts the world of dreams as a unique space-time and opens a new chapter in the expression of dreams, portrays the dreamy world of unconsciousness. However, I can find limitations and contradictions in the expression of the actual dreams and essence of unrealistic structures and forms. I can find David Lynch's movies "Mulholland drive (2001)", which are closer to Freud's psychoanalysis in expressing the actual presentation process of dreams Through comparative analysis, I try to analyze the interpretation and context of the dream mentioned by Freud. The film "Inception" can be appreciated in terms of space time and rich imagination created from the point of view of science fiction movies, but it shows that logical reasonability is weak in view of applying the essence of dream. On the other hand, the film "Mulholland Drive" describes the illogical, confusing and unhappy feeling of unconsciousness by giving logic and order based on the interpretation of Freud's psychoanalytic dreams, is. In this way, it is possible to portray more realistic scenes of dreams only through the portrayal of dreams and unconsciousness based on Freud's psychoanalytic viewpoint.

In this paper, however, we try to analyze the symbolic meaning of the short in the film, to grasp the inner nature of the film projected in the film, and ultimately to express the theme message. Effective symbolism exposes emotions to create moods and moods, and to express deeply with the audience, expressing the inner psychological state and will of the person.
