From December 1981 to June 1987, thirty one patients suffering from low output syndrome after cardiac operation received cardiac assist with intraaortic balloon pump. Fifteen patients survived [survival rate 48.4%]. After receiving assist with IABP, urine output increased, heart rate and central venous pressure decreased, reflecting improved myocardial performance. Poor preoperative hemodynamic and functional status resulted in poor survival despite of assist with IABP. Poor pre-IABP hemodynamic status also resulted in high mortality after assist with IABP. Our experience suggests that IABP should be introduced early in the course of worsening to get good result.

Neonatal seizures are the most common and distinctive clinical sign of prenatal and/or neonatal brain disorders. Newborn infants with seizures are at risk of mortality and survivors at risk for neurologic impairment, developmental delay, and subsequent epilepsy. Fifteen reports on neonatal seizures in Korea from 1983 to 2009 were analyzed. A total of 731 neonatal seizure cases were reported. Day of seizure onset, etiology, type of seizures, electroencephalogram findings, and outcomes were analyzed. It is necessary to establish a basic report for a future nationwide study of neonatal seizures.

Theoretical foundations of the knowledge management(KM) have been perceived still developing in the field. And, the literature shows many key success factors for KM, but, in more conceptual and abstract term. Companies interested in knowlege management demand for practical guidelines. Based on the constituent elements of KM, this study classifies key success factors identified from thirty three success cases, domestic and in other countries. Further, fifteen propositions are suggested and discussed for future research and project management in KM.

This communication emphasized upon the sensitivity of the crude extracts of clerodendrum inerme against some of the human pathogenic bacteria. Five plant extracts (Petrol, Benzene, Methanol, Ethly acetate and Aqueous) under six different concentrations(500 ${\mu}g/ml$, 1 mg/ml, 2 mg/ml, 5 mg/ml, 10 mg/ml and 15 mg/ml) were tested by disk diffusion method. Methanol, Ethyl acetate and Aqueous extracts of the plant showed significant inhibition against fifteen of the eighteen bacteria tested. No earlier report on antibacterial activity of this taxon could be found in literature.

The objective of this paper is to present 87 recurrence relations for the Jacobi polynomials $P_n^{({\alpha},{\beta})}(x)$. The results presented here most of which are presumably new are obtained with the help of Gauss's fifteen contiguous function relations and some other identities recently recorded in the literature.

In addition to known cucurbitacins, a glucosphingosine type cerebroside and amino acids were isolated from the roots of Trichosanthes kirilowii. The structure of cerebroside was determined as soya-cerebroside I by means of spectroscopic methods. Fifteen amino acids were identified as aspartic acid, glutamic acid, serine, glycine, histidine, citrulline, threonine, alanine, proline, tyrosine, valine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine and tryptophan, among which the major components such as citrulline, phenylalanine, leucine/isoleucine and valine were isolated.

Fifteen dogs with superficial pyoderma were investigated clinically. Dermatological signs were mainly consisted of papule (66.6%), pustule (86.6%), epidermal collrarette and patchy (40%), and hyperpigmentation (53.3%). Distribution of skin lesion were consisted of back (35.5%), abdomen (29.0%), axillary (6.4%), leg (3.2%), neck (3.6%) and foot (16.1%), respectively. In pustular cytology PMN cells and cocci were examined. Cephalexin was very effective antibiotics on superficial pyoderma at administration of 30mg/kg bid P.O. for 3 weeks. Hyperadrenocorticism and atopy were diagnosed as a primary cause on pyoderma in 2 dogs.

Fifteen mysid species representing 4 genera are reported from the west coast of Korea, Of these, Archaeomysis vulgaris (Nakazawa), Archaeomysis japonica Hanamura, Jo and Murano and Acanthomysis tenuicauda Murano are new to the Korean fauna, Acanthomysis aspera li, Acanthomysis fujinagai li, Acanthomysis japonica Nakazawa and Acanthomysis okayamaensis li are new to the western Korean fauna. Detailed description with illustrative figures, ecological notes and keys to species are given.

This study presents test results of RC beams strengthened by carbon fiber sheet (CFS) or carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) for increasing shear resistance. Fifteen specimens were tested, and the test was performed with different parameters including the type of strengthening materials (CFS, CFRP), shear-strengthening methods (wing type, jacket type, strip type), strip-spacing, strengthening direction of FRP. The results show that shear-damaged RC beams strengthened by either CFS or CFRP have more improved the shear capacity.
