This paper describes a study on the design of compact polymer bushing with inner control shield. In the bushing, a high electric stress occurred between field shaper and central conductor by the closely space. Also coaxial cylindrical shield has a great height along the axis to control an electric field. Consequently, all the potentials are raised axially along the field shaper and electric stress is concentrated on a part of the surface of the FRP tube near the upper end of the field shaper. In accordance, the field control can be achieved by means of the designs of such inner control shields. The floating and ring shield designs was decreased electric field concentration at critical parts of the bushing. The shield gaps is formed between field shaper and ring shield. Accordance equipotential lines extend through gaps. As a result, the resulting electrical stress are thus reduced in the range $17{\sim}23%$ in the bushing with floating and ring shield designs. Maxwell 2D simulator based on the boundary element method was also introduced in order to verify the reliability of the polymer bushing. The optimized design uses internal elements for electric stress grading at critical parts of the bushing.
The pulsed field magnetization of the short-circuited soldered double pancake coil made of stabilized commercial high-Tc superconductor (HTS) tape is experimentally studied. The evolution of the shielding current induced by the pulsed field and the trapped field after the pulsed magnetization was measured at 77 K. It is shown that the trapped field in the coil is close to the value reached in the field cooling process and reduces weakly at 5-fold increasing of pulsed field amplitude. The current relaxation at t~2 ms after the pulse is defined by the current sharing between the tape's copper coating and the $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-d}$ layer. In the intermediate time scale (1 s < t < 100 s) the flux creep in HTS layer dominates. At t > 100 s the current's relaxation is defined by the resistance of soldered joint between tapes.
Ready-mixed shotcrete mixed with high quality materials and can be controled shotcrete quality is producted in plants and transported to construction fields, so do not need a field batch plant. In this study, the field construction system that can be applied Ready-mixed Shotcrete to construction fields was proposed, and the all-in-one silo that was the key component of the field construction system was design. It was performed to evaluate the constructability that the field construction process analysis in case of applying a field batch plant and the all-in-one silo, the cost analysis of the material production and transport in a road tunnel was also performed to evaluate the economic feasibility of Ready-mixed shotcret.

The discoveries of high temperature superconductors received great attention due to their high critical temperatures. These materials also exhibit extremely high critical magnetic fields and high critical current density at low temperature, high magnetic field. Thus, they are the most promising materials for superconducting magnets above 20 T. In this talk, progress in the development of HTS materials and insert coils at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory will be reviewed. In 1999, a Bi-2212 stack of double pancakes generated 3 T in a 19 T background field. These results will be reviewed in terms of implications for future systems. Individual double pancakes of Bi-2223 have also been tested and their performance will also be discused. The present goal of a 57 system will be presented and the key technical requirements for larger, higher field systems will be addressed. It will be shown that in addition to increased critical current density, improved mechanical performance (stain resistanced) is necessary for high field systems. Furthemore, improvements in the conductor n-value will improve prospects for operational systems.
A laboratory sensor model was designed, constructed, and tested based on a newly proposed working principle of magnetic field detection. The principle of sensing employed a time-coded method in correlation with exploiting the advantageous features of the GMI effect. The sensor demonstrated a sensitivity of $10\;{\mu}s/{\mu}T$ in the field range of ${\pm}100\;{\mu}T$. The sensing element in the form of an amorphous thin wire, $100\;{\mu}m$ in diameter ${\times}50\;mm$ long, was fit into a small field modulation coil of 60 mm length. At a magnetic field modulation in the range of hundreds of Hz, the change in time interval of two adjacent GMI voltage peaks was linearly related to the external magnetic field to be measured. This mechanism improved the sensor linearity of the GMI sensor to better than 0.2% in the measuring range of ${\pm}100\;{\mu}T$.
The electric wave propagation characteristics of electromagnetic field by induction current shows a nonlinear distinction in the metal but linear on air. This paper is written about the magnetic transmission distinction in the metalic tube, which wrapped the center axis by the same direction. The electromagnetic field made by the transmission signal is transferred from the transmission coil area toward the receiving coil by the magnetic diffusion. So, it is different magnetic flux around the coil with one in the remote field area. Analyzing such a complex magnetic characteristic, we verified this theory by the vector analysis and presented eddy current mechanism and analytical model about magnetic distribution in the remote field area. This magnetic distribution rate in metal body will be very useful in the nondestructive inspection of the eddy current in remote field which is recently rising as a new technology.
Recently linear accelerator in radiation therapy in asymmetric field has been easily used since the improvement and capability of asymmetrical field adjustment attached to the machine. It has been thought there have been some significant errors in dose calculation when asymmetrical radiation fields have been utilized in practice of radiation treatments if the fundamental data for dose calculation have been measured in symmetrical standard fields. This study investigated how much the measured data of dose distributions and their isodose curves are different between in asymmetrical and symmetrical standard fields, and how much there difference affect the error in dose calculation in conventional method measured in symmetrical standard field. The distributions of radiation dose were measured by photon diode detector in the water phantom (RFA-300P, Scanditronix, Sweden) as tissue equivalent material on utilization of 6 MV linear accelerator with source surface distance (SSD) 1000 mm. The photon diode detector has the velocity of 1 mm per second from water surface to 250 mm depth in the field size of $40mm{\times}40mm\;to\;250mm{\times}250mm\;symmetric\;field\;and\;40mm{\times}20mm\;to\;250mm{\times}125mm$ asymmetrical fields. The measurements of percent depth dose (PDD) and subsequent plotting of their isodose curves were performed from water surface to 250mm dmm from Y-center axis in $100mm{\times}50mm$ field in order to absence the variability of depth dose according to increasing field sizes and their affects to plotted isodose curves. The difference of PDD between symmetric and asymmetric field was maximum $4.1\%\;decrease\;in\;40mm{\times}20mm\;field,\;maximum\;6.6\%\;decrease\;in\;100mm{\times}50mm\;and\;maximum\;10.2\%\;decrease\;200mm{\times}100mm$, the larger decrease difference of PDD as the greater field size and as greater the depth, The difference of PDD between asymmetrical field and equivalent square field showed maximum $2.4\%\;decrease\;in\;60mm{\times}30mm\;field,\;maximum\;4.8\%\;decrease\;in\;150mm{\times}75mm\;and\;maximum\;6.1\%\;decrease\;in\;250mm{\times}125mm$, and the larger decreased differenced PDD as the greater field size and as greater the depth, these differences of PDD were out of $5\%$ of dose calculation as defined by international Commission on radiation unit and Measurements(ICRU). In the dose distribution of asymmetrical field (half beam) the plotted isodose curves were observed to have deviations by decreased PDD as greater as the blocking of the beam moved closer to the central axis, and as the asymmetrical field increased by moving the block 10 mm keeping away from the central axis, the PDD increased and plotted isodose curves were gradually more flattened, due to reduced amount of the primary beam and the fraction of low energy soft radiations by passing thougepth in asymmetrical field by moving independent jaw each 10 h beam flattening filter. As asymmetrical radiation field as half beam radiation technique is used, the radiation dosimetry calculated in utilizing the fundamental data which measured in standard symmetrical field should be converted on bases of nearly measured data in asymmetrical field, measured beam data flies of various asymmetrical field in various energy and be necessary in each institution.
We fabricated Bi-2223/Ag superconductor tape with 55 filaments and estimated the magnetic field dependence of critical current (I$_{c}$) and index n (n) up to 30 T at 4.2 K. The I$_{c}$ and n were characterized as a function of external magnetic field parallel to the tape surface on increasing and decreasing field, using a 35 T hybrid magnet. The $I_{c}$ was estimated to be 325 A, and n was 32, 22, and 26 in the electric field range of $0.1 ∼1\mu$V/cm, 1∼10 $\mu$V/cm, and 0.1∼10 $\mu$V/cm, respectively, under self-field at 4.2 K. It was observed that $I_{c}$ was dependent on magnitude of magnetic field and it decreased exponentially as the field increased; in a parallel and increasing field, It was 128 A at 30 T which is approximately 40% of critical current in self-field. In addition, the $I_{c}$ was higher on decreasing field than that on increasing one. On the other hand, n did not significantly depend on field strength up to 30 T, nor varied on whether increasing or decreasing field; n value in 0.1∼1 $\mu$V/cm was 23.0$\pm$5.2 and 27.8$\pm$8.0 on increasing and decreasing field, respectively. The n value on decreasing magnetic field was slightly higher than that on increasing field. This hysteretic behavior of n was similar to that of$ I_{c}$, which is related to the trapped flux at the grain boundary.ary.
This paper analyzes optimal stirrer parameter to improve field uniformity in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber. Stirrer parameter is varied about stirrer height and stirrer angle. Also we analyze quality factor, number of excited modes and stirrer efficiency that affect field uniformity. The results show good performance as higher as stirrer height. Isotropic field distribution is formed at $45^{\circ}$ stirrer angle. When stirrer angle varies, scattering characteristic of incident wave are changed. So electric field distribution in a mode-stirred reverberation chamber is also changed. Therefore, it affect field uniformity. The results expect to help that designs stirrer for get better field uniformity. Immunity test performed designed mode-stirred reverberation chamber for semiconductor that categorized by technology. Test result shows that good recurrence compared wave-guide immunity test.
