From the HCN observations of dense molecular cloud L694-2, Lee et al.(2007) determined internal distributions of density and velocity for the cloud. The density profile collaborates roughly with the Bonnor- Ebert gas sphere, but the velocity field departs significantly from the result of numerical simulations that are started from the BE sphere. Taking L694-2 as an example of collapsing clouds, we have performed a series of collapse simulations and determined initial configurations for the cloud in such a way that the resulting density and velocity profiles both match with the empirically deduced ones. Among many trial configurations the cloud which is initially uniform in density and bound by an expanding envelop depicts most closely the empirically obtained profiles of both density and velocity.

Computer-aided surgery is popular and useful in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, because of the possibility of simulation with a high accuracy. In all aspects of surgery, proper planning facilitates more predictable operative results, however before the use of virtual planning, much of this relied on 2-dimensional (2-D) imaging for treatment planning on a 3-dimensional (3-D) object and surgical trial and error. With real-time instrument positioning and clear anatomic identification, a computer-assisted navigation system (CANS) is exceptionally helpful in maxillofacial surgery. These techniques enable performing precise bony ablation and reconstruction, and also decrease surgical time and donor site defect.

The trial business of e-trade service providers for supporting small enterprises to find their markets abroad is about to begin from the end of March, 2003. The department of Industrial Resources held the "Committee of e-trade service provider selection" with professors of e-trade field, and selected three companies: ECplaza, EC21 and Tpage Global. The e-trade service providers combine the various technologies of on-line trades and off-line trades to support small enterprises with lack of marketing skills by intermediation of overseas buyers and production, registration of e-catalogs and offers, administration of inquiries, trade negotiations, and contract settlement. Prospective small enterprises with exports under US$ 5 million will be selected by 2005. The selected companies will be supported fully by the government, and will be provided with the services by the e-trade service providers. e-Trade service will be the most potential and successful ones in the future, which helps traders and organizations preparing for globalization.

ADSL은 일반 가정이나 SOHO에서 Internet access나 Remote LAN Access와 같은 application을 대상으로 사용하기에 적합하다. 제 2장에서는 CPN에서의 configuration, usage scenario를 알아보고 splitter configuration들과 PDN, SM, TE간의 interface가 어떻게 정의되는가를 살펴보았다. 제 3장에서는 central office의 configuration을 간단히 살펴보고, DSLAM 및 service provider network의 requirement들을 알아보았다. 제 4장에서는 원활한 network adaptation 및 service를 위한 Frame based 및 ATM based ADSL architecture들에 대해 언급하고 가능한 protocol stacks들에 대해 간단히 알아보았다. 또한 home network이나 corporate network에서 필요한 tunneling protocol이나 firewall의 구현가능성도 검토하였다. 현재 이러한 내용들이 ADSL Forum에서 활발히 논의되고 있으나, UADSL을 비롯한 ADSL의 대규모 설치에 따른 field trial 및 service를 통해 장단점이 검증될 것으로 보이며 따라서 앞으로 $1\sim2$년 후에나 좀더 효율적인 ADSL architecture, interface 및 protocol이 표준모델로 정착될 것으로 보인다.

Although the design of magnetic bearing needs a systematic optimization du e to several design variables, constraints, geometric limitations, nonlinearities, and so on, the present for magnetic bearings have been conducted in the linear region of the characteristics for magnetic by trial and error considering design constraints. This article, therefore, provides the possibility of a genetic algorithm(GA) based optimization with two dimensional-nonlinear finite element magnetic field analysis for design of a radial heteropolar magnetic bearing. The magnetic bearing design by GA based optimization makes good agreements with that by a commercial optimization software DOT using the sensitivity analysis.

We make an ultrasonic system as a trial to measure the distance between trawl doors, and carried out a water tank ($24{\times} 24$m, water depth 1 m) experiment for confirming the practical use of the system in October 1996. This system calculates the distance between the pinger (50 kHz) and the transponder (50 kHz/70 kHz) attached each one on the trawl door by measuring the time-difference of receiving with two channels receiver on the trawler. This paper assums that both the length of the warp from the stern to the trawl door is same. At results the system shows a good relation between the distance and the time-difference of receiving while the location of the pinger is moved in variously in the water tank, and it was found that the method of measuring techniques on the prototype system could be applied to the measurement of the trawl door opening in the field experiment.

Springback after draw and flange is the critical factor affecting the product quality. It is very difficult to predict the amount of springback not only because of complex geometry and material characteristics of the stamping product, but because the methodology has not been established. In this study, springback mechanism is introduced, and experimental tryout an automobile panel is carried out for die design of automotive hood panel. Further, introduce adapting design and field springback was verified by trial experimental with the measured tryout result. Finally, introduced about general method in order to predict springback in computer simulation.

Innovation on digital compression technology, high speed networking technology, digital broadcasting technology and distributed processing technology provides new interactive multimedia service that integrates telecommunication, broadcasting, and computer application. To meet the new trends, we focus our research direction to integrate the telecommunication services and the broadcasting services. For this purpose, we designed and implemented an interactive multimedia service platform based on the DAVIC specification. Our research results in the development of integrated interactive services and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service that will be launched from next year. In this paper, we will describe the overall architecture and system implementation results of the interactive multimedia service platform.

Our platform introduced in this paper is based on DAVIC specifications which define high quality multimedia services with some extensions to provide user friendly and uniform interface to its users. We designed and implemented an integrated service platform for high quality interactive multimedia services, swithed digital broadcasting, and Internet services. The integration in terms of a service provider system, a delivery system, and a service user system is taken into account. Our research results in the development of integrated high quality interactive and digital broadcasting multimedia services with web-based common user interface and its experience will be feedback to the field trial service which will be launched from next year.
