The effects of Ta substitution on the superconducting and magnetic properties of the $(Ru_{1-x}Ta_x)Sr_2(Gd_{1.4}Ce_{0.6})Cu_2O_z(0{\leq}x{\leq}0.5)$ system have been investigated. The X-ray diffraction measurements indicate that the Ta ion replaces Ru sites up to x = 0.4. It is found that the Ta substitution for Ru significantly reduces the weak-ferromagnetic component of the field-cooled magnetic susceptibility without an appreciable change of room temperature thermopower at lower Ta doping level below x = 0.2. The resistive transition temperature tends to decrease monotonically from 27 K for the x = 0 sample to 16 K (9 K) for the x = 0.4 (x = 0.5) sample. These results suggest that superconductivity of the $(Ru_{1-x}Ta_x)Sr_2(Gd_{1.4}Ce_{0.6})Cu_2O_z$ compound is not significantly affected by the magnetic state of the Ru sublattice. The experimental results are discussed in connection with previous reports on the effects of Nb substitution.
Drill process is usually used to manufacture a industry about processing, Therefore, the burr problem is very significant, The burrs took place when drill process. And then, sometimes, the burrs are often caused of some problems during automatic such as no good quality products and having good surface roughness products. And also, this paper had some experiments using magnesium. Specially, the magnesium is one of the non-ferromagnetic materials. Magnesium has attracted a lot of interest for using the industry. They offer a possible alternative to steel and aluminum in automotive and aero industries to satisfy the lightweight requirement. also, magnesium has good specific strength and absorbs vibration in occurring working process. So, it has good quality of product processing. And then, it is one of the lightest materials being used to electronic product's cases and automotive because of lightweight and miniaturization. But this material has not widely used all of the industry due to its natural property. If the magnesium is contacted water, it will cause the exploration. But, nowadays many of people study magnesium to safe their experiment and to widely use this industry.
This paper proposes an efficient fault detection method for onboard degaussing coils which are installed to minimize underwater magnetic fields due to the ferromagnetic hull. To achieve this, the method basically uses field signals measured at specific magnetic treatment facilities instead of time-consuming numerical field solutions in a three-dimensional analysis space. In addition, an analytical design sensitivity formula and the linear property of degaussing coil fields is being exploited for detecting fault coil positions and assessing individual degaussing coil currents. Such peculiar features make it possible to yield fast and accurate results on the fault detection of degaussing coils. For foreseeable fault conditions, the proposed method is tested with a model ship equipped with 20 degaussing coils.
This research examines the effect of adding aluminum on the structural, phasic, and magnetic properties of CoCrFe NiMnAlx high-entropy alloys. To this aim, the arc-melt process was used under an argon atmosphere for preparing cast samples. The phasic, structural, and magnetic properties of the samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrational magnetometry (VSM) analyses. Based on the results, the addition of aluminum to the compound caused changes in the crystalline structure, from FCC solid solution in the CoCrFeNiMn sample to CoCrFeNiMnAl BBC solid solution. It was associated with changes in the magnetic property of CoCrFeNiMnAlx high-entropy alloys, from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic. The maximum saturation magnetization for the CoCrFeNiMnAl casting sample was estimated to be around 79 emu/g. Despite the phase stability of the FCC solid solution with temperature, the solid solution phase formed in the CrCrFeNiMnAl high-entropy compound was not stable, and changed into FCC solid solution with temperature elevation, causing a reduction in saturation magnetization to about 7 emu/g.
Ni-CNT nanocomposites were synthesized via the electrical explosion of wire (EEW) in acetone and deionized (DI) water liquid conditions with different CNT compositions. The change in the shape and properties of the Ni-CNT nanopowders were determined based on the type of fluids and CNT compositions. In every case, the Ni nanopowder had a spherical shape and the CNT powder had a tube shape. However, the Ni-CNT nanopowders obtained in DI water exhibited irregular shapes due to the oxidation of Ni. Phase analysis also revealed the existence of nickel oxide when using DI water, as well as some unknown peaks with acetone, which may form due to the metastable phase of Ni. Magnetic properties were investigated using a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) for all cases. Nanopowders prepared in DI water conditions had better magnetic properties than those in acetone, as evidenced by the simultaneous formation of super paramagnetic NiO peaks and ferromagnetic Ni peaks. The DI water (Ni:CNT = 1:0.3) sample revealed better magnetic results than the DI water (Ni-CNT = 1:0.5) because it had less CNT contents.
CoSiB is the amorphous ferromagnetic material and multilayer consisting of CoSiB and Pd has perpendicular magnetic anisotropic property. PMA has strong advantages for STT-MRAM. Moreover, amorphous materials have two advantages more than crystalline materials: no grain boundary and good thermal stability. Therefore, we studied the magnetic properties of multilayers consisting of the $Co_{75}Si_{15}B_{10}$ with PMA. In this study, we investigated the magnetic property of the [CoSiB (3, 4, 5, and 6) ${\AA}$/Pd(11, 13, 15, 17, 19,and $24{\AA})]_5$ multilayers and found the annealing temperature dependence of the magnetic property. The annealing temperature range is from room temperature to $500^{\circ}C$. The coercivity and the saturation magnetization of the CoSiB/Pd multilayer system have a close association with the annealing temperature. Moreover, the coercivity especially shows a sudden increasing at the specific annealing temperature.
We studied the microstructure and magnetic property of the pulsed DC magnetron sputtered $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film as a function of substrate temperatures. The X-ray patterns of the $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film showed a strong (002) preferential orientation at $500^{\circ}C$. The films with a crystallite size of 23-35 nm were grown in the form of nano-sized structure and this tendency was remarkable with increasing substrate temperature. The UV-visible result showed that the $Zn_{\0.8}Co_{0.2}O$ film prepared above $300^{\circ}C$ has a high optical transmittance of over $80\%$ in the visible region. The absorption bands were observed due to sp-d interchange action by $Co^{2+}$ complex ion and dd transition in the region from 500 to 700nm. The resistivity of the film was below $10^{-1}\;\Omega-cm\;above\;300^{\circ}C$. The AGM analysis results for the all films showed the magnetic hysteresis curves of ferromagnetic nature. The low electrical resistivity and room temperature ferromagnetism of ZnCoO thin films 'deposited above $300^{\circ}C$ suggested the possibility for the application to Diluted Magnetic Semiconductors (DMSs).
This paper describes the fabrication of AlN thin films containing iron and iron nitride particles, and the magnetic and electrical properties of such films. Fe-N-Al alloy films were deposited in Ar and $N_2$ mixtures at ambient temperature using Fe/Al composite targets in a two-facing-target DC sputtering system. X-ray diffraction results showed that the Fe-N-Al films were amorphous, and after annealing for 5 h both AlN and bcc-Fe/bct-$FeN_x$ phases appeared. Structure changes in the $FeN_x$ phases were explained in terms of occupied nitrogen atoms. Electron diffraction and transmission electron microscopy observations revealed that iron and iron nitride particles were randomly dispersed in annealed AlN films. The grain size of magnetic particles ranged from 5 to 20 nm in diameter depending on annealing conditions. The saturation magnetization as a function of the annealing time for the $Fe_{55}N_{20}Al_{25}$ films when annealed at 573, 773 and 873 K. At these temperatures, the amount of iron/iron nitride particles increased with increasing annealing time. An increase in the saturation magnetization is explained qualitatively in terms of the amount of such magnetic particles in the film. The resistivity increased monotonously with decreasing Fe content, being consistent with randomly dispersed iron/iron nitride particles in the AlN film. The coercive force was evaluated to be larger than $6.4{\times}10^3Am^{-1}$ (80 Oe). This large value is ascribed to a residual stress restrained in the ferromagnetic particles, which is considered to be related to the present preparation process.

Recently, spintronic devices with submicron structures are widely investigated to take advantage of their unique micromagnetic properties. In this work, we study the temperature dependence of exchange bias in bilayer anti-dot arrays made by depositing Co (40 nm)/Ni (5 nm) ferromagnetic bilayer on Si substrate to form anti-dot arrays with a diameter $1{\mu}m$. The anti-dot patterning was done only for the upper Co layer, while the Ni underlayer was kept unperforated. The temperature dependences of magnetoresistance (MR) and exchange bias were studied along magnetic easy and hard axes. The in-plane MR measurements were performed using a physical-property measurement system (PPMS ; Quantum Design Inc.) at various temperatures. The standard in-line four-point probe configuration was used for the electrical contacts. As temperature was varied, the MR data were obtained in which in-plane field (H=3 kOe) was applied in the directions along the hard and the easy axes with respect to the lattice plane. The temperature dependences of magnetic anisotropy and exchange bias were also studied along the magnetic easy and hard axes. As temperature decreases, the single peak splits into two peaks. While no exchange bias was observed along the magnetic easy axis, the exchange bias field steadily increased with decreasing temperature along the magnetic hard axis. These results were interpreted in connection with the magnetic anisotropy and the effect of the anti-dots in pinning domain wall motion along the respective direction.
MgO based nanocomposite powder including ferromagnetic iron particle dispersions, which can be available for the magnetic and catalytic applications, was fabricated by the spray pyrolysis process using ultra-sonic atomizer and reduction processes. Liquid source was prepared from iron (Fe)-nitrate, as a source of Fe nano-dispersion, and magnesium (Mg)-nitrate, as a source of MgO materials, with pure water solvent. After the chamber were heated to given temperatures (500~$^800{\circ}C$), the mist of liquid droplets generated by ultrasonic atomizer carried into the chamber by a carrier gas of air, and the ist was decomposed into Fe-oxide and MgO nano-powder. The obtained powders were reduced by hydrogen atmosphere at 600~$^800{\circ}C$. The reduction behavior was investigated by thermal gravity and hygrometry. After reduction, the aggregated sub-micron Fe/MgO powders were obtained, and each aggregated powder composed of nano-sized Fe/MgO materials. By the difference of the chamber temperature, the particle size of Fe and MgO was changed in a few 10 nm levels. Also, the nano-porous Fe-MgO sub-micron powders were obtained. Through this preparation process and the evaluation of phase and microstructure, it was concluded that the Fe/MgO nanocomposite powders with high surface area and the higher coercive force were successfully fabricated.
