편심구동장치 시제품 개발을 위한 3D프린팅-5축가공 복합기술 (Hybrid Technology using 3D Printing and 5-axis Machining for Development of Prototype of the Eccentric Drive System)

  • Since a 5-axis machine tool has two rotary axes, it offers numerous advantages, such as flexible accessibility, longer tool life, better surface finish, and more accuracy. Moreover, it can conduct whole machining by rotating the rotary feed axes while setting the fixture at once without re-fixing in contrast to conventional 3-axis machining. However, it is difficult to produce complicated products that have a hollow shape. In contrast, 3D printing can produce an object with a complicated hollow shape easily and rapidly. However, because of layer thickness and shrinkage, its surface finish and dimensional accuracy are not adequate. Therefore, this study proposes hybrid technology by integrating the advantages of these two manufacturing processes. 3D printing was used as the additive manufacturing rapidly in the whole body, and 5-axis machining was used as the subtractive manufacturing accurately in the joining and driving places. The reliability of the proposed technology was verified through a comparison with conventional technology in the aspects of processing time, surface roughness. and dimensional accuracy.

  • This paper describes an approach to a speed estimation method to remove speed sensor of underwater robot's AC drive systems. AC motors have been widely used in the field of underwater robot's manipulator or propulsion system. Most of these AC motors for underwater use have usually filled oil to compensate the high pressure in deep-sea operation, where a resolver is adopted to feed back the speed of rotor But this kind of speed feedback devices gives rise to some defects arising from their mechanical complexity and numerous signal lines; a resolver needs 6 or 7 signal lines for proper operation. This paper presents a speed estimation method to improve these problems of induction motor, which is adopted as a prototype of AC motor. The proposed speed estimation method is based on the RFO(rotor flux orientation) vector control method of voltage-fed AC drives. Using the controller of voltage-fed AC drives, it is unnecessary to measure the voltage for the estimation of rotor speed, which reduces the effects of measurement error Numerical simulation is carried out to investigate the validity of the method and the effects of rotors resistance variation.

Robust Tracking Control Based on Intelligent Sliding-Mode Model-Following Position Controllers for PMSM Servo Drives

  • In this paper, an intelligent sliding-mode position controller (ISMC) for achieving favorable decoupling control and high precision position tracking performance of permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo drives is proposed. The intelligent position controller consists of a sliding-mode position controller (SMC) in the position feed-back loop in addition to an on-line trained fuzzy-neural-network model-following controller (FNNMFC) in the feedforward loop. The intelligent position controller combines the merits of the SMC with robust characteristics and the FNNMFC with on-line learning ability for periodic command tracking of a PMSM servo drive. The theoretical analyses of the sliding-mode position controller are described with a second order switching surface (PID) which is insensitive to parameter uncertainties and external load disturbances. To realize high dynamic performance in disturbance rejection and tracking characteristics, an on-line trained FNNMFC is proposed. The connective weights and membership functions of the FNNMFC are trained on-line according to the model-following error between the outputs of the reference model and the PMSM servo drive system. The FNNMFC generates an adaptive control signal which is added to the SMC output to attain robust model-following characteristics under different operating conditions regardless of parameter uncertainties and load disturbances. A computer simulation is developed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed intelligent sliding mode position controller. The results confirm that the proposed ISMC grants robust performance and precise response to the reference model regardless of load disturbances and PMSM parameter uncertainties.

온라인 전향 데드타임 보상기법 (On-Line Feed-Forward Dead-Time Compensation Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 온라인 데드타임 전향보상기법을 제안한다. 데드타임 효과(dead-time effect)로 인한 출력 전압 오차를 외란전압으로 간주하고 이를 추정하여 전향보상한다. 외란전압의 크기를 시간지연제어기법을 이용하여 추정하고, 추정된 값과 측정된 전류와 위치 정보로써 외란전압을 계산한다. 데드타임 효과를 보상하기 위해 계산된 외란전압은 전압지령에 전향된다. 제안된 방법은 DSP TMS320C31을 사용하여 디지털방식으로 영구자석 동기 전동기 구동 시스템에 적용이 된다. 제안된 방법의 효용성을 검증하기 위해 이 시스템에서 실험을 수행하였고 그 결과는 제안된 방법의 효과를 잘 보여주고 있다.

  • 웹 사이트에서 제공하는 콘텐츠의 일부 또는 전체를 다른 서비스에서 이용할 수 있도록 해주는 신디케이션 기술인 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)는 다양한 웹 사이트 상의 콘텐츠를 요약하고, 상호 공유하고 주고받을 수 있도록 만든 표준이다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술 연구자들이 웹상에 존재하는 신디케이션 된 과학기술 콘텐츠(또는 feed)를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있도록 주제를 중심으로 수집(aggregation)하여 저장(archive)하는 시스템을 구현하고 이의 활용방안을 제안한다. 또한 제안된 중앙의 수집기(aggregator) 시스템에 사용자가 직접 채널을 등록함으로써 다른 사용자에게 RSS 채널을 추천하고 이를 통해 연구자간의 지식 공유를 유도할 수 있다.

TiCN PACVD코팅 초경호브의 Skiving절삭특성 평가 (An Evaluation of Skiving Cutting Characteristics of TiCN PACVD Coating Caribide Hob)

  • SCM420재질의 기어를 담금질을 실시한 후 초경호브(Hob)에 PACVD 코팅처리 후 표면경도가 높은 표면(HRC 60)을 절삭하였다. 코팅처리 없이 난삭재(難削材)로 분류되는 경도가 큰것, 경한 물질을 포함한 것, 강도가 높은 것에 공구수명과 생산성을 향상에는 한계성을 가지고 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해 초경호브에 TiCN코팅처리 전후에 대하여 Skiving 절삭으로 코팅처리 한 호브가 가공성이 좋고, 공구마멸이 적어, 공구수명이 2.5배 증가하는 결과를 얻었다. 실험은 CNC 스카이빙 호빙머신을 이용하여 습식절삭으로 절삭속도와 이송량으로 다양한 조건을 적용하여 공구마멸과 표면거칠기 데이터를 얻었다. 실험결과 조건 2에서(V=200m/min F=0.7mm/rev) Cutting speed가 절삭표면에 Feed Mark가 미세하고, 표면거칠기는 Rmax $4.7{\mu}m$(Ra $1.19{\mu}m$)의 데이터를 얻었다.

Performance, Digestibility and Carcass Characteristics of Growing/Finishing Pigs Fed Barley-Based Diets Supplemented with an Extruded or Unextruded Blend of Peas and Canola Seed or Meal

  • Seventy-two crossbred pigs weighing an average of 41.5 kg were assigned on the basis of sex, weight and litter to one of four dietary treatments in a factorial (4 treatments${\times}$2 sexes) arrangement. The control diet was based on barley and soybean meal while the experimental treatments consisted of diets in which a portion of the dietary protein was supplied by 20% of a 50:50 blend of extruded ($130^{\circ}C$ for 20 to 25 sec) peas and full-fat canola seed, 20% of a 50:50 blend of unextruded peas and full-fat canola seed or a diet containing 10% peas, 6% canola meal and 4% canola oil (to equal the level of canola oil provided by 10% whole canola seed). Digestibility coefficients for dry matter, crude protein and gross energy were significantly higher (p<0.05) for the control diet than for the other three diets. Extrusion produced no beneficial effects (p>0.05) on nutrient digestibility and there were no differences in digestibility between the diet based on intact canola seed compared with the diet containing canola meal and oil. Choice of protein supplement had no significant effects on gain, feed intake or feed conversion during the grower or finisher phases and over the entire experimental period. Extrusion of the pea-canola blend produced no beneficial effects on pig performance as the performance of pigs fed either the extruded or unextruded blend of peas and canola seed was similar. In addition, the performance of pigs fed diets containing intact canola seed was similar to that of pigs fed canola meal and oil. Castrates gained faster and consumed more feed than gilts (p<0.05). However, their feed conversion was poorer than that of the gilts during the finisher period. There were no significant differences in carcass traits between pigs fed the control and any of the experimental treatments. Extrusion had no effect on carcass traits and the carcasses of pigs fed canola meal and oil did not differ from those of pigs fed whole canola seed. Castrates had a significantly lower dressing percentage, lower estimated lean yield but greater loin fat depth than gilts (p<0.05). The results of this experiment indicate that peas in combination with canola seed or canola meal are an acceptable alternative to soybean meal as a protein supplement for use in growing-finishing swine diets. Extrusion did not appear to have any beneficial effects on the nutritional value of the canola seed-pea blend as nutrient digestibility, growth performance and carcass traits were similar for pigs fed the unextruded blend of peas and canola seed compared with the extruded product. Since the process adds to the cost of the raw products, its use is unlikely to be economical.

  • This paper presents a cartesian space decentralized adaptive controller design for the end effector of the robot manipulator to track the given desired trajectory in the cartesian coordinate. By the cartesian based control scheme, the task related high level motion command is directly executed without solving the complex inverse kinematic equations. The controller does not require the complex manipulator dynamic model, and hence it is computationally very efficient. Each degree of freedom of the end effector on the cartesian space is controlled by a PID feedback controller and a velocity acceleration feed forward conpensation part. Simulation results for a two-link direct drive manipulator conform that the present cartesian based decentralized scheme is feasible.

  • The analysis of a mechanical system, body traveling along the elastic structure, has been a topic of interest. The establishment of analytical method for the development and control of this system is required in the fields of many machine operations such as modern weapons and high-speed feed drive system for a machine tool. The dynamic equations are derived on the torsion of a cantilever hollow shaft induced by the spin-up of a moving mass and the displacement of the mass. Influences of design parameters such as the inertia ratio, the mass moving speed and the friction coefficient are discussed on the transient response of the system.

Comparison of auxiliary Feedwater and EDRS Operation during Natural Circulation of MRX

  • The MRX is an integral type ship reactor with 100 MWt power, which is designed by Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute. It is characterized by integral type PWR, in-vessel type control roe drive mechanism, water-filled containment vessel and passive decay heat removal system. Marine reactor should have high passive safety. Therefore, in this study, we simulated the loss of flow accident to verify the passive decay heat removal by natural circulation using RETRAN-03 code. auxiliary feed water systems are used for decay heat removal mechanism and results are compared with the loss of flow accident analysis using emergency decay heat removal system by JAERI. Results are very similar to case of EDRS 1 loop operation in JAERI analysis and decay heat is successfully removed by natural circulation.
