The purpose of this study is to evaluate environment-friendly planning feature in Environment-friendly Certificated apartments and to use the basic planning data of housing. Seven Environment-friendly Certificated apartments have been analyzed. The findings of this study are as follows: Environment-friendly planning features are categorized into 4 items; floor planning feature, material planning feature, universal planning feature and environmental planning feature. Among floor planning features, natural sunlight, built-in closets, and differentiated floor plans are well considered, but the flexible floor plan for resident's lifestyle and green space are lack. Among material planning features, environment-friendly finishing materials, environment-friendly products and energy-efficient double-pane windows are well considered, but implementation for resource savings using recycled materials are lack. Among universal design planning features, removal of threshold and installation of safety device in bathroom are not well considered. Among environmental planning features, usage of alternative energy like solar energy are not applied. The environment-friendly planning features in interior space should be introduced in diverse ways.

This paper introduces the monitoring scheme of laser welding quality using neural network. The developed monitoring scheme detects light signal emitting from plasma formed above the weld pool with optic sensor and DSP-based signal processor, and analyzes to give a guidance about the weld quality. It can automatically detect defects of laser weld and further give an information about what kind of defects it is, specially partial penetration and porosity among the interior defects. Those could be detected only by naked eyes or X-ray after welding, which needs more processes and costs in mass production. The monitoring scheme extracts four feature vectors from signal processing results of optical measuring data. In order to classify pattern for extracted feature vectors and to decide defects, it uses single-layer neural network with perceptron learning. The monitoring result using only the first feature vector shows confidence rate in recognition of 90%($\pm$5) and decides whether normal status or defects status in real time.

It is noted that the expressionistic feature appears as one of characteristic phenomena for representing the regional culture and economic level. In architecture, it seems to be difficult to define the expressionism in a concrete way because of lots of meanings the word originally has. In this study, the expressionistic feature is defined as a mode which impresses the users emotionally with strength or as a touching and stimulating one, contrary to the designing conception which pursues only the rationality and the functionality. These features can be expressed as designing methods such as organic form, adoption of natural design factor, decisive opening of space or its extreme closing, contrast of mutually opposite components, or application of basic design components.These methods described above are largely categorized into spatial form, openness, scale and design component and also are studied for each example within the scope of these categories. This study has significance in conceptualizing this expressionistic tendency and in analyzing some detailed aspects for expression.

It is important factor; understand definition and concept, grasp application method and property about transparency for expression of skin in design of retail space. This research do target; clarify the feature of transparency for expression of skin in modern retail space, and it is based in these viewpoint that analyze the feature through an experiment of image estimation(SD method) into object to modern retail space that express transparency of skin.

We need to think that space is not static but dynamic because it becomes wide and narrow, newly appears and disappears by human's behavior. Generally such movement in a space is a thing of feeling and dynamic about movement. But it is extending the experience of the subject by scientific technique's development and anticipation about the feature. The practical movement is actively introduced into architecture and interior design scope and occurs a trial about this movement. By using four elements -a form, hue, movement, light- kineticism becomes visual arts united with art and science. It recovers the art's sociality and arises participation of spectators. In the environment and art field kineticism is not simple ostentation but a current trial for human's mind and sensitivility. Kineticism is four-dimensional space considered by human's experience and is related to an observer, or experiential subject of space. Now the space except human's mind feature re-illuminates kineticism, that is, the field of the formative arts in the early part of the 20th century and gets to be 'the consensus space'.

Louis 1. Kahn was a wise architect who learned from history. He developed his own unique architecture by combining his creative sense with design principles and vocabularies that can be found in historical architecture. When restricting a space, he surrounded the space with thick walls as it had been done in historical buildings. The interior space encompassed by this method became a center-oriented and stable space. The objective of this study is to find the characteristics of Kahn's interior spaces by analyzing his projects in terms of space, form, daylight and materials. For this purpose, five works that are considered to have significance from the aspect of interior design were selected and analyzed. The characteristics realized through this study are as follows. A) Spatial features: 1) Generally speaking, each required space has been arranged symmetrically. 2) Being clearly defined as the main space, the subsidiary space, or the service space, each space also was placed very functionally. 3) The space encompassed by thick walls became a center-oriented, stable space. And in most case, it was characterized as a dark space. B) Formative features: 4) The space was defined as a basic solid such as a cylinder, a hexahedron, and an octagonal box, and was developed into a complex shape by the recessed windows. 5) Historical vocabularies such as an arch, a vault, and a dome were reinterpreted in new ways by kahn's own eyes. 6) Haying diverse shapes, the skylights enrich the space in terms of form. C) Daylight feature: 7) The vertical light entering through the skylights creates a solemn and mysterious atmosphere. 8) Given the shadows from the windows that change according to time, the interior space becomes a very vivid space. D) Material feature: 9) Harmonized with cold and smooth materials such as exposed concrete, metal, and glass, the interior space provides a modern atmosphere. 10) Warm appearing wood was used for furniture and part of walls or floors. The effective use of wood takes on a role that is quite complementary to the cold ambience of the smooth and cold materials. 11) With flexibility In building shapes, the concrete becomes the form-endowing materials.

This purpose of this study was about the analysis on the dynamic expression of geometric manipulation in interior composition elements. The paradigm of contemporary times became different from paradigm of modern times. The change of paradigm is caused by the side effect of paradigm of pre-times. In the contemporary architectural condition, architecture have a tendency to plural characteristics. This study investigates systemically ‘the DYNAMISM’ as a part of contemporary interior space's feature, based on geometric manipulation in interior composition elements. Nowadays the issue of environmental pollution and ecological destruction is not a simple issue but an important issue to be continuously considered. It is deemed that a study for recycled new materials is immediately required and this study is to analyze features and processing methods of new materials which can be used to interior space. We found the recycled new materials used for space through researching various web sits. And then we analyzed what the base materials are and classified that base materials are whether natural or artificial of the recycled materials. We classified processing methods of the recycled new materials after researching general processing methods. The result of this study would be an important material to the research and development of new finishing materials with consideration of environment and to the research for a guideline of applicable new materials. The results of this study are as follows : First, we could classify widely 2 categories into natural material and artificial material and then 10 subcategories into metal, glass, wood, rubber, stone, plastic, leather or fabric, ceramic, concrete and so on, and analyzed that which material is mostly used and whether it is single material or multiple material. In order to analyze the feature of processing method. Second, we could classify into 4 categories such as junction, surface process, molding, and insert, and found out which processing method is applied based on objects of research. Third, as an analysis result of the recycled new material feature, in order to develop various new materials, it is required to study on combination and application of 2 materials or more rather than single material. Four, as a analysis result of the processing method feature, I would like to suggest that development and application of various processing methods are required. Especially, it is necessary to grope for a way to develop new functional materials for interior space through a systemic research and analysis of processing method of other fields. Furthermore, a way to reuse recycled new materials should be considered in a stage of selection and application of processing method.

[ $K\ddot{o}ln$ ] IMM (International Mobel Messe Koln) is traditionally one of the advanced Exhibitions with International Expo of Furniture in Milan. IMM is not only the furniture exhibition but also well known international event that shows novel idea and the newest trend of interior design field. This event displays from the traditional style reaches to the newest trend, and also presents the world various Interior design spectrum with the forecast of interior design industry. This study analyze out the trend of the nm in year 2004, 2005 and 2006. It analyzed each year's design with form, material, color and general feature. Thus, it suggests demanding and persistent design of modern society, This chart shows the characteristics of the furniture design from 2004 to 2006 Result of the study shows that the trend of the furniture design would be process with the relationship of simple design, multi-cultural character, and practical paradigm.
