Efficient Fault-Tolerant Multicast on Hypercube Multicomputer System (하이퍼 큐브 컴퓨터에서 효과적인 오류 허용 다중전송기법)

  • Hypercube multicomputers have been drawing considerable attention from many researchers due to their regular structure and short diameter. One of keys to the performance of Hypercube is the efficiency of communication among processors. Among several communication patterns, multicast is important, which is found in a variety of applications as data replication and signal processing. As the number of processors increases, the probability of occurrences of fault components also increases. So it would be desirable to design an efficient scheme that multicasts messages in the presence of faulty component. In fault-tolerant routing and multicast, there are local information based scheme, global information based scheme and limited information based scheme in terms of information. In general, limited information is easy to obtain and maintain by compressing information in a concise format. In this paper, we propose a new routing scheme and a new multicast scheme using recently proposed fully reachability information scheme and new local information scheme. The proposed multicast scheme increases multicast success possibility and reduce deroute cases. Experiments show that multicast success possibility can increase at least 15% compared to previous method.

  • 이 논문은 재귀원형군 G(2^m , 2^k ) 그래프 이론적 관점에서 고찰하고 정점이 서로소인 경로에 관한 위상 특성을 제시한다. 재귀원형군은 1 에서 제안된 다중 컴퓨터의 연결망 구조이다. 재귀원형군 {{{{G(2^m , 2^k )의 서로 다른 두 노드 v와 w를 잇는 연결도 kappa(G)개의 서로소인 경로의 길이가 두 노드 사이의 거리d(v,w)나 혹은 G(2^m , 2^k )의 지름 \dia(G)에 비해서 얼마나 늘어나는지를 고려한다. 서로소인 경로를 재귀적으로 설계하는데, 그 길이는 k ge2일 때 d(v,w)+2^k-1과 \dia(G)+2^k-1의 최솟값 이하이고, k=1일 때 d(v,w)+3과 \dia(G)\+2의 최솟값 이하이다. 이 연구는 (2^m , 2^k )의 고장 감내 라우팅, 고장 지름이나 persistence의 분석에 이용할 수 있다.Abstract In this paper, we investigate recursive circulant G(2^m , 2^k ) from the graph theory point of view and present topological properties concerned with node-disjoint paths. Recursive circulant is an interconnection structure for multicomputer networks proposed in 1 . We consider the length increments of {{{{kappa(G)disjoint paths joining arbitrary two nodes v and win G(2^m , 2^k )compared with distance d(v,w)between the two nodes and diameter {{{{\dia(G)of G(2^m , 2^k ), where kappa(G)is the connectivity of G(2^m , 2^k ). We recursively construct disjoint paths of length less than or equal to the minimum of {{{{d(v,w)+2^k-1and \dia(G)+2^k-1for kge2 and the minimum of d(v,w)+3 and \dia(G)+2for k=1. This work can be applied to fault-tolerant routing and analysis of fault diameter and persistence of G(2^m , 2^k )

Comparative Study on Accuracy and Usefulness of Calibration Using CT T.O.D (단층촬영영상을 이용한 T.O.D Calibration의 정확성과 유용성에 관한 비교연구)

  • Uses a Tomographic scan image and Table Object Distance(TOD) price after measuring, uses accuracy and usability of blood vessel diameter(Vessel Diameter) measurement under comparison evaluating boil TOD Calibration. Catheter Calibration input Agnio Catheter where uses in Angiography the size of the superior mesentery artery at Catheter Calibration price and they measure. Produced an accuracy from monitoring data and comparison evaluated. The statistical program used SPSS. TOD Calibration accuracy was 96.53%, standard deviation is 0.03829. Catheter Calibration accuracy of 92.91%, standard deviation is 0.05085. Represents a statistically significant difference(p = 0). According to age and gender was not statistically significant(p > 0.05). TOD Calibration correlation coefficient R-squared of 88.8%, Catheter Calibration of the R-squared is 75.5%. High accuracy of both methods. Through this study, CT images using the measured distance between the table and the Object, TOD Calibration accuracy higher than two Catheter Calibration was measured. TOD and Catheter Calibration represents a statistically significant difference(p = 0).

Resistance Distribution in Thin Film Type SFCL Elements with Shunt Layers of Different Thicknes

  • Resistance distribution in thin film type SFCL elements of different shunt layer thickness was investigated. The 300 nm thick film of 2 inch diameter was coated with a gold layer and patterned into 2 mm wide meander lines. The shunt layer thickness was varied by ion milling the shunt layer with Ar ions, and also by having the shunt layer grown in different thickness. The SFCL element was subjected to simulated AC fault current for measurements. It was immersed in liquid nitrogenduring the experiment. The resistance distribution was not affected by the shunt layer thickness at applied voltages that brought the temperature of the elements to similar values. This result could be explained with the concept of heat transfer from the film to the surroundings. The resistance distribution was independent of the shunt layer thickness because thick sapphire substrates of high thermal conductivity dominated the thermal conductance of the elements.

  • We improved quench properties of a superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) based on YBCO thin films by their serial and parallel combinations. The SFCL consisted of 6 switching elements fabricated of 4 inch-diameter YBCO thin films. Simple serial connection resulted in imbalanced power dissipation between switching elements even at the quench current difference of 0.6A. On the other hand, $2{\times}2\;and\;3{\times}2$ stack combinations produced simultaneous quenches. The $3{\times}2$ stack combination showed better simultaneous quench behavior than the $2{\times}2$ stacks. This is suggested to be because the currents between switching elements in parallel connection of the $3{\times}2$ stacks were more effectively redistributed than the $2{\times}2$ stacks.

  • This research area is a greate section of triple tunnels that passes through the fault fractured zone the in the granite area. In this area, tunnel section, pillar width and overburden height are changed consecutively due to declivity of 1 : 4.5 and slope formation of upper part as changed section. That is, stability estimation for each section varying pillar width can be conducted because tunnel diameter changes gradually from 0.5D to 1.0D according to distance of pillar width. We have estimated the stability of pillar width in triple tunnels with monitoring value, and compared the stability with results of numerical analysis.

  • Recently, various dynamic risk analysis methods have been suggested for estimating the risk index by predicting the possibility of accidents and damage. It is necessary to maintain and support the safety system for responding to accidents by continuously updating the probability of accidents and the results of accidents, which are quantitative standards of ship risk. In this study, when a LNG leakage that may occur in the LN G Fuel Gas Supply System (FGSS) room during LN G bunkering operation, a reliability physical model was prepared by the change in monitoring data as physical parameters to estimate the accident probability. The scenario in which LNG leakage occur were configured with FT (Fault Tree), and the coefficient of the covariate model and Weibull distribution was estimated based on the monitoring data. The possibility of an LNG leakage, which is the top event of FT, was confirmed by changes in time and monitoring data. A method for estimating the LNG leakage based on the reliability physical analysis is proposed, which supports fast decision-making by identifying the potential LNG leakage at the accident.

  • Quench behavior of resistive superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) with various pattern shapes was investigated. The pattern shapes employed were meander, bi-spiral, and spiral shapes of identical line width, gap and margin. SFCLs were fabricated from YBCO thin films grown on two-inch diameter $Al_2O_3$ substrates under the same conditions. Resistance rise of current limiting elements was low at a spiral shape before the whole quench completion, which may act as a disadvantage for simultaneous quench in serial connection between current limiting elements, but the temperature tended to have similar values at higher voltages. On the other hand, bi-spiral shape was severe at insulation level between current limiting lines. When these aspects were considered, we concluded that a meander shape was appropriate to design for a resistive SFCL based on thin films except the concentration of electric field at edge areas of strip lines.

  • Microscopic examination of the morphology of wear debris is an accepted method for machine condition and fault diagnosis. However wear particle analysis has not been widely accepted in industry because it is dependent on expert interpretation of particle morphology and subjective assessment criteria. This paper was undertaken to analyze the morphology of wear debris for machine condition diagnosis of the lubricated moving surfaces by image processing and analysis. The lubricating wear test was performed under different sliding conditions using a wear test device made in our laboratory and wear testing specimen of the pin-on-disk-type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil. In order to describe characteristics of debris of various shape and size, four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) have been developed and outlined in the paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology in machine condition monitoring, thus to overcome many of the difficulties in current methods and to facilitate wider use of wear particle analysis in machine condition monitoring.

  • This paper was undertaken to do morphological analysis of wear debris for slipper-Pad of hydraulic rotary acuator. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the wear test device and wear specimens of the pin on disk type was rubbed in paraffinic base oil by three kinds of lubricating materials, varying applied load, sliding distance. The four shape parameters(50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) are used for morphological analysis of wear debris. The results showed that the four shape parameters of wear debris depend on a kind of the lubricating condition. It was capable of presuming wear volume for slipper-pad of hydraulic rotary acuator on driving time.
