국내 남성 패션 유튜버 및 패션 콘텐츠 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Fashion Contents of Domestic Male Fashion YouTubers)

  • This study analyzed characteristics of domestic male fashion YouTubers and fashion contents in accordance with the need to analyze various content demands and testes of male consumers in the fashion industry. Using literature research and fashion expert evaluation, characteristic factors of fashion YouTubers were derived and the popular content of fashion YouTubers was classified by subject to analyze contents according to characteristics of YouTubers. Based on literature research, ten representative male fashion YouTubers were evaluated by fashion experts. Characteristics of male fashion contents in Korea were derived from attractiveness-friendliness, friendliness, professionalism-friendliness, and expertise. Contents of male fashion YouTubers were mainly composed of styling contents that could feed back daily looks, fashion-related information contents, and Vlogs. They mainly dealt with daily fashion coordination evaluation made by YouTubers. Based on the proportion of fashion information easily accessed by ordinary men through single fashion item's recommendations, shopping know-how or styling tip was mainly dealt with. This study was significant in that it analyzed characteristics and contents of male fashion YouTubers according to the need to analyze various content demands and tastes of male consumers who have recently emerged as an important consumer group in the fashion industry.

  • Many off-line fashion brands currently has construct hompage in the form of digital contents at the website. The purpose of this study is to confirm that fashion item of avartar can be applicate to react for consumer desires by a process of construction for hompage digital contents of fashion brand, and develop various avartar fashion item to satisfy consumer's wants using the computer graphics. The results of this study are as followings. First, it should be the first to decide whether hompage contents can be used for any purposes. And it will offer initial brand concept, followed by the contents of event, blog, avatar, fashion information. Second, portal sites currently service avatar fashion item, but it just bounds the limit of indirect effect. Many fashion brands face a challenge to differenciate themselves, so avatar fashion item should be planned to coordinate the contents and brand concept. Also it is certainly possible that fashion brand communicates larger consumers with a avartar fashion item that appeal to a consumer's sensibility. Third, this study propose design development and application as 3 of the avartar fashion item using the computer graphics. Avatar Fashion item using the computer graphics was presented by application as promotion through event garment, item coordinate, cellular phone service.

패션 미디어에 나타난 상호작용 사례 연구: 쇼스튜디오(Showstudio)의 패션프로젝트를 중심으로 (Interactive Case Study on Fashion Media: Focused on Showstudio's Fashion Projects)

  • The purpose of this study is to consider the interactivity which appeared on the fashion media that focus on Showstudio's fashion projects. Showstudio is a famous fashion site that was founded by the famous photographer, Nick Knight, which has displayed interactive projects with fashion designers and artists. The methods of this study are undertaken by theoretical studies and project analysis. The 38 projects under the 'interactive' category are being chosen among archive data and the project explanations, photos and videos provided from the site are studied. Interactivity of fashion projects in Showstudio is considered by main factors such as two-way communication, participation, user control, and responsiveness. Two-way communication appears as transactional communication in the creation process and feedbacks from contents of users. The characteristic of participation appears as participation in the creation process and the practical use of contents. User control appears as control of contents, user interface and streaming media systems. The characteristic of responsiveness appears as real time and synesthesia responsiveness between the user and contents. Showstudio show free communication through digital information transmit system and also indicate the opportunity of innovative interactions among users, media, and contents.

  • This paper describes the new trends of fashion industry in the era of digital media and Internet paradigm, where fashion is no longer just static contents. Fashion becomes crucial and dynamic contents for infotainment, mobile Internet, and digital media. As therefore, the fashion industry could be positioned as fashion information industry and key elements of fashion communication. In the future, fashion education should be repositioned as dynamic Intermediary not only for traditional textile design, costume design, and merchandising, but also for dynamic fashion information provider, fashion communication and fashion-oriented media related to digital Information, and Internet. As a case study, we briefly describe the successful co-marketing strategies of world-class luxury fashion brands, fashion media, and Internet service provider.

미국 고급 패션백화점의 페이스북 페이지 커뮤니케이션 전략 (The Facebook page communication strategy of high-end fashion department stores in the United States)

  • The purpose of this study is 1) to investigate the types of upscale fashion department stores' Facebook page contents, 2) to compare the types of Facebook page contents with the department stores, and 3) to explore the dimensions of the Facebook page components and their relations. For the study, three preeminent department stores in social media marketing were chosen: Bergdorf Goodman, Barneys New York, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Three hundred sixty five contents of these department stores' pages were investigated, which were uploaded from February 1st to March 31st of 2013. Content analysis, correspondence analysis, and categorical principal component analysis were used for the research. The result showed that there are four important types of contents in pages: product-related contents, fashion-related contents, department stores-related contents, and the contents of communicating with users. And these components of contents were related with department stores distinctively. The two dimensions of the page components were revealed: the basic components (contents, 'like', 'share', and 'comments') and the additional components (links and photos). Among contents, the introduction of products was appealed but news and events were not liked by users; the contents without a photo were not linked to additional information either.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how recently fashion brands tried to design Facebook contents for their promotion strategies, and how to encourage customer's empathy and participation for communication content. For this study, 17 domestic and foreign fashion brand facebook contents were analyzed. The results of the study were as follows. First, fashion brands provided product information through various methods such as the Facebook fan styling pictures contest which attracted voluntary participation from fans, an emotional product introduction video with effective storytelling techniques, and pictures and videos of a new season collection that were always viewable and able to be evaluated. Secondly, Facebook contents of brand promotion that contributed to the brand image and loyalty formation were identified. Fashion brands encouraged their fans to be involved in socially-oriented marketing and brand community. Moreover, telling the story of the brand history and brand management enhanced brand involvement of fans. Finally, fashion brands communicated actively with their fans providing information that aroused their interest. They gave tips on how to improve the quality of life, provided useful applications that offered various benefits in everyday life. Based on this result, implications of Facebook contents management as a promotion strategy were further discussed.

패션 콘텐츠의 모바일 유통개선을 위한 비즈니스 모형과 도입전략 (Mobile Business Model and its Introducing Strategy for Fashion Contents Distribution)

  • 본 연구는 패션콘텐츠의 모바일 유통을 목적으로 콘텐츠 비즈니스 모델을 설계하고자 하였으며 스마트폰 기반의 모바일 어플리케이션을 구현하였다. 단순 패션콘텐츠만을 제공하는 것이 아닌 패션콘텐츠의 활용을 높이기 위한 정보공유 방법과 사용자의 자가 코디를 지원하는 콘텐츠 직접생산, 활용 및 거래 시스템을 구현하고 사용시장의 확대를 위한 접근전략을 제시하였다. 모바일 접근성에 차별화된 콘텐츠 비즈니스 모델과 수익구조를 설계하고자 하였으며 이를 위해서 기존의 연구와 모바일 앱의 현황을 벤치마킹하였다. 연구의 결과로써 Android, iOS 기반의 모바일 어플리케이션을 구현하였으나 낮은 인지도, 낮은 진입장벽, 업계의 빈약한 패션콘텐츠 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 시스템은 제휴기업의 콘텐츠를 제공받아 사용자에게 제공하는 형태이므로 향후 패션 블로그, 카페 등과 연계홍보, 잡지와 같은 패션매거진과의 제휴 등으로 외연을 확대할 필요가 있다.

의상디자인 분석을 위한 콘텐츠 제작에 관한 연구 - 중국역사배경 영상매체를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Contents Production for a Clothing Design Analysis - Focused on the Image Medium of Chinese Historical Background -)

  • The purpose of this study is to present a contents production process for costume design analysis by take advantage of the image media of Chinese historical backgrounds. The production process of contents for lectures on fashion design analysis can be summarized as follows: The contents for the design analysis of Chinese costumes can be divided into major media and supplementary media. Major media can be completed through the processes including the selection of Chinese historical backgrounds. images and media (video, DVD title or VOD), verification of image capture parts, image captures, and applications of PPT files. Supplementary media consist of production of analysis materials for each item and TPO, report preparation methods and discussions, and printed matters to be used at the stage of image comparison and verification. This way, a process applicable to the design analysis of Chinese costumes can be presented.

패션을 콘텐츠로 한 소셜네트워크서비스의 유형화와 네트워크 형성 방법을 활용한 패션디자인프로세스 (Stereotyping of Social Network Service with Contents of Fashion and Fashion Design Process Using a Method to Form Network)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest an effective fashion design process using social network services(SNS) as a method to develop designs. Fashion design process was systemized through literature study. The characteristics of social network, and element and method of network formation were investigated, and then design processes using SNS were suggested through survey study. This was done by applying formation of network and its method in SNS with contents of fashion to stage of process to develop fashion design. The study results are as follows. First, Fashion design process using SNS is composed of 5 stages. Second, SNS types with contents of fashion were classified to five types: blog, community, connection of fashion web service and SNS, fashion SNS, and fashion SNS game. Among them, types where development of fashion design and product distribution was done by formation of network are connected type of fashion web service and SNS, fashion SNS type. Fashion design development can be done by compiling, having contests, and cooperative work. A method that can be used for making assessments and decision is voting and predicting the market. Third, Fashion design process using SNS is composed of the stages such as planning, compiling, analysis, decision, implementation, and formation of network. It was analyzed that by connecting stages of collection and evaluation of information through participation of users, new contents were produced and there was a structure that was cycled continuously.

트랜스미디어에 나타난 패션 문화 콘텐츠의 매개특성 연구 - 20세기 이후 현대 패션사를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Mediation in Fashion Culture Contents Found in Transmedia - Focusing on Modern Fashion since the 20th Century -)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze modern fashion culture in the 20th century through changes in transmedia in order to better understand characteristics of fashion contents. The study also strived to identify the characteristics of remediation in modern fashion and media by exploring the cultural code, and use it to establish an integrated view. The subjects and the method of the study are as follows. First, the study analyzed the development of transmedia and fashion culture since the 20th century. Second, it identified the transitional characteristics of transmedia. Third, the study analyzed the characteristics of remediation in modern fashion culture by using the characteristics of mediation, which appeared with the transitional characteristics of transmedia. The study results are as follows. First, the types of remediation are 'borrowing,' 'Representation,' 'Expansion,' 'Refashion,' and 'Absorb.' In old and new media, each type can be aesthetically experienced in 'transparency,' opaqueness,' 'Hypermediacy,' and 'Immediacy.' Second, fashion culture can undergo a transformation from its original form to a second and a third iteration, and this process allows for possibility of an expansion of multiple plots and well-rounded character settings. This opens up the possibility for fashion consumer participation, and signifies a transition into an environment where expansion of time and space is possible. The third finding is the non-mediation of fashion objects. The mediating relationship between clothes and media is directly connected to the development of new media. The immersion of new media by fashion consumers has the characteristics of 'transparency'/'Non-mediation,' and the reinterpretation and reproduction of original fashion styles have the characteristics of 'opaqueness'/'Hyper-mediation.' Fourth, fashion culture has data variability. Through 'Borrowing,' 'Representation,' 'Expansion,' 'Remodeling,' and 'Absorption,' the cultural hierarchy of reproduced fashion forms a multi-layered integrated network. Mediation code, which repurposes fashion culture contents, also creates new media fashion through transmedia.
