The Likert Type questionnaires were used to measure clothing involvement and fashion adoption behavior. The data of 472 samples drawn from middle and high school students in Taegu Metropolitan City were analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, Scheff test, t-test and regression analysis. Main results of the study are as follows. 1 . Concept of the clothing involvement is composed of five dimensions: importance, fashion, self-expression, pleasure, and buying risk. 2. Socio-demographic factors do influence fashion adoption behavior. Average monthly pocket money, expenditures on clothes and household income are found to have statistically significant impacts on the adoption behavior. Female students are more fashion-oriented than male students. 3. The clothing involvement elements are found to have significant influences on fashion adoption behavior: fashion, importance and self-expression elements on fashion innovation; fashion, importance and pleasure elements on fashion information search.
This study aimed to identify the effects of adult women's fashion innovativeness and purchase situation factors on fashion adoption. To explain women's fashion adoption at the point of clothing purchases, fashion innovativeness and 3 dimensions of purchase situation were adopted as explanatory variables. Total usable questionnaires were obtained from 801 women aged between 20 and 39. Factor analysis on purchase situation resulted in 3 dimensional structures of purchase situation: Store atmosphere, Store policy and Pre-purchase condition. Women groups divided by fashion innovativeness level showed meaningful differences in their purchase situation level and fashion adoption level. Women groups divided by 3 dimensions of purchase situation also showed significant differences in fashion innovativeness level and fashion adoption level. Fashion innovativeness, Store atmosphere and Pre-purchase condition except Store policy positively affected fashion adoption.

This research presents a fashion adoption process model based on collective selection theory and examines the differences in the consumer adoption process of merchandising types at each stage of the fashion cycle. A questionnaire survey of 472 adult women was conducted for the purpose of empirical analysis of the fashion adoption process. The results show that fashionability and popularity (the primary attributes of fashion goods) have direct effects on resistance and adoption as well as indirectly through social compatibility and personal compatibility in the evaluation stage. In conclusion, on the theoretical side, this study verified the fashion process model according to consumer participation in the adoption process of fashion goods existing at different stage of the fashion cycle, internally through negotiating with individual tastes, and externally through interacting with others. On the practical side, this study presented an empirical result that can apply to merchandizing strategy centered on merchandizing type by connecting consumer adoption for the fashion goods released by actual companies.

This study identifies the effects of fashion innovativeness and style-innovation attributes of young female adults in fashion adoption. Date collecting using a written survey instrument yielded 801 complete responses from female consumers between the ages 20 and 39. A factor analysis on style-innovation attributes resulted in 5 dimensional structures: relative advantage, compatibility, trialability, observability, and perceived risk. 5 groups divided by the level of fashion innovativeness showed meaningful differences on style innovation attributes. The more a group showed fashion innovativeness, the higher the level of relative advantage, compatibility, trialability, and observability the group expressed, but the more a group showed fashion innovativeness, the lower the level of perceived risk expressed by the group. To analyze fashion adoption of the samples, 5 dimensions of style-innovation attributes and fashion innovativeness were adopted as explanatory variables. All of these variables (except observability) significantly and positively affected fashion adoption; however, perceived risk significantly and negatively affected fashion adoption.

A total of 314 respondents used in the data analysis, the statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test and multiple regression analysis. The results show that the elevation of the business results, improvement in customer relationship and raise in market reactivity of the perceived benefits has effect on the continuous internet adoption intention of fashion companies. There are differences in the elevation of the business results, improvement in consumer relationship, miscellaneous expenses and the continuous internet adoption intention between companies that introduced a internet commercial transaction system and those that have not.
The purpose of this study was to identify perception level of QR and the usage level of QR technologes and to examine the relationships between the firm characteristics and the usage level of QR technologes and QR adoption in domestic fashon industry. Using the usage levels of QR technologes and QR adoption as the dependent variables, the selected firm characteristics, as independent variables, were firm size, perception level of QR benefits, and product characteristics. The findings from the empirical analysis of this study can be summarized as follows : Firm size and perception level of QR benefits were significantly associated with the usage level of QR technologies and adoption. Product characteristics were partly associated with QR adoption. The four elements were partly associated with QR adoption. Most of the QR adopters were using the QR technologies, and will tend to have four elements. From the results of this study, the researcher expects the information from this study to contributes to the body of knowlege about the identification, adoption and utilization of component technologies for QR management systems and draws several counterproposal as follows : The advancement of domestic fashion industry is possible through the systematic adoption of QR by the collaboration of the government & the industry. Most nonadopter had financial problems as a constraint to QR adoption. Financial supports are needed from trade associations and government. The fashion industry may promote the type of smart QR. The type of smart QR means usage level of QR technologies which reflect the firm characteristics and the actual industry state in domestic fashion industry. The fashion industry may establish information technology network (i. e., EDI, POS, EOS) between relative industry such as fiber, apparel manufacturers, retailers. The related industry should make a partnership.
The purpose of this study was to test the discriminant analysis model of Quick Response system and to examine the detailed relationship between each discriminant factor and Quick Response adoption. In this discriminant analysis model of Quick Response system, firm size, strategic type, product category, fashion trend, selling time and the Quick Response benefits were included as discriminant factors. Onehundred and two subjects were randomly selected for the survey study and discriminant analysis, descriptive analysis, t-test, and x square test were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were: 1. Wilks Lambda and F value support the discriminant analysis model that, taken together firm size, strategic type, product category, fashion trend, selling time and the Quick Response benefits significantly help to explain Quick Response adoption. 2. The importance of discriminant ability was, in order, firm size, the Quick Response benefits, women's wear, fashion trend, analyzer, selling time, reactor, defender and men's wear. 3. The discriminant function had the high hit ratio, so this can be well used for the classification of Quick Response adoption/nonadoption.

This study investigates the effects of clothing consumption values and subjective age on fashion adoption. To explain the fashion adoption of elderly women, 5 dimensional consumption values were adopted as explanatory factors, and subjective age is included as a moderating factor. This study tested the relationship of variables with survey data from a convenient sample of elderly women. A total of 235 complete responses were obtained from women between 50 and 71 years of age. The results are as follows. First, factor analysis on clothing consumption values resulted in 5 dimensional structures of consumption values for the sample (epistemic, symbolic, harmonic, popular, and practical values). A factor analysis on subjective age resulted in 2 dimensions (physical and mental age). Second, epistemic, popular, harmonic (-) and symbolic values (except practical value) significantly affected fashion adoption. Third, the epistemic value was the strongest factor regardless of physical and mental age but the effects of epistemic, popular, harmonic, symbolic, and practical values changed depending on the level of the moderating factor.
