In this paper, we propose a parallel LDPCA encoding method for fast transform-domain Wyner-Ziv video encoding which is suitable in an ultra fast and low power video encoding. The conventional transform-domain Wyner-Ziv video encoding performs LDPCA channel coding of quantized transform coefficients in bitplane-serial fashion, which takes about 60% of total encoding time, and this computational complexity becomes severer as the bitrate increases. The proposed method binds several bitplanes into one packed message and carries out the LDPCA encoding in parallel. The proposed LDPCA encoding method improves the encoding speed by 8 ~ 55 times. In the experiment, the proposed Wyner-Ziv encoder can encode 700 ~ 2,300 QCIF size frames per second with GOP=64. The method can be applied to the pixel-domain Wyner-Ziv encoder using LDPCA, and has a wide scope of application.

Objectives: To assess the scavenging effect of carnitine derivatives on oxidative damage to sperm during sperm processing, cryopreservation and thawing. Materials and Methods: Fresh semen samples from 20 normal healthy volunteers were collected by masturbation after at least 48 hours abstinence. After liquefaction of semen samples at room temperature, the specimens were diluted with sperm wash media (Ham's F-10, Life technologics) to a uniform density of $20{\times}10^6/ml$. L-carnitine or acetylcarnitine were added with various concentration of $0{\mu}M$, $10{\mu}M$, $30{\mu}M$ in semen sample or cryoprotectant. All specimens were cryopreservated at $-196^{circ}C$ $LN_2$ for 3 days. Sperm motility, vitality, fertilizing capacity, reactive oxygen species formation and the level of lipid peroxidation were analyzed by computer assisted semen analyzer, eosin-nigrosin stain, hypoosmotic swelling test, chemiluminescence and thiobarbituric acid method, respectively, during sperm processing, cryopreservation and thawing. Results: The sperm motility was only increased in proportion to the concentration of acetylcarnitine with no statistical significance (p>0.05). The sperm vitality was also significantly improved in proportion to the concentration of acetylcarnitine with statistical significance (p<0.05). The sperm fertilizing capacity was significantly increased in proportion to the concentration of L-carnitine and acetylcarnitine and reactive oxygen species generation and lipid peroxidation were significantly decreased with same fashion (p<0.05). On comparison of effects between L-carnitine and acetylcarnitine, acetylcarnitine was superior to L-carnitine on the improvement of sperm motility and vitality as well as the suppression of reactive oxygen species generation and lipid peroxidation. Conclusions: These results suggest that carnitine derivatives have a scavenging effect against oxidative damages during sperm processing, cryopreservation and thawing. Therefore, carnitine derivatives may be useful as an oral antioxidant in patients with male infertility due to increased ROS generation.

The aim of this study is to compare the sensitivity of both two NCI-H292 and A549 cell types to acute inflammatory responses induced by cigarette smoke. For this, we treated two kinds of smoke fractions derived from 2R4F reference cigarettes: total particulate matter(TPM) collected onto a Cambridge filter pad and gas/vapor phase(GVP) prepared by bubbling through in buffer solution. When we measured cellular cytotoxicity by neutral red uptake assay after treatment for 24 hours, TPM and GVP induced cytotoxic effect in a dose-dependent manner in the range of 10-$100{\mu}g$/mL and 60-$300 {\mu}g$/mL., respectively, in both cell types without any cellular difference. Additionally, when we examined acute inflammatory responses by analyzing cytokines secreted into culture media including tumor necrosis factor-$\alpha$ (TNF-$\alpha$), interleukin-8(IL-8), and transforming growth factor-$\alpha$(TGF-$\alpha$) as well as matrix metalloproteinase-1(MMP-1), the treatment with smoke fractions increased those marker proteins in a dose-dependent manner in NCI-H292. Meanwhile, in A549 cells only MMP-1 was observed to be increased in a dose-dependent fashion. Collectively, our data indicate that NCI-H292 cell type is more sensitive to cigarette smoke-induced inflammatory response than A549 cells. This suggests that NCI-H292 could be useful as an in vitro evaluation tool to assess harmful effects of cigarette smoke.

For us who live in the 21 century, a variety of media and videos such as TV, movies, magazines, internet, etc. have now become indispensable entities. Because of changing age, unlimited sharing of information, and development of machines, fashion and ideas are rapidly conveyed and theres is also a tendency to seek after more sense based and stimulating things. Around us, there are innumerable colors which do not seem to have any special presence like the air and go beyond human ability to identify them. Such colors exert direct influence upon the visual culture and most rapidly reflect that age's trend. It is precisely from this perspective that the importance of neon colors, which have recently received the spotlight, have emerged in a magnified way. Yet, although much research has been conducted on colors by earlier studies, there has been no research on neon colors and as such, I felt the need for a study of neon colors. The purpose of this study is to recognize the importance and psychology of colors within the visual culture, discover whether there is a correlation between the characteristics of neon colors and the visual culture, and seek ways to demonstrate it by applying it to art education.

This study was conducted on men and women in their teens and 50s living in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do to find out the relevance between demographic characteristics of lifestyle clusters and the characteristics of beauty salon use. To analyze the data of a total of 522 people collected, statistical processing was performed with analysis of frequency, analysis of factor, analysis of reliability, analysis of cluster, analysis of variance and analysis of cross. As a result, lifestyle group types were classified as fashion and social focus types, family-oriented types, and family-free types. These types were highly related to age, final education, and marital status among demographic characteristics, and were also found to be highly relevant to the characteristics of beauty salon use, such as beauty salon location and frequently used beauty services. The results of this study are thought to be the basic data that can be used for beauty salon marketing.

In this paper, in order to implement the IDWT(inverse discrete wavelet transform) with relatively low complexity, we propose a VLSI architecture for odd-tap linear-phase IDWT filters. By considering the symmetric property of the linear phase filter, the input is added to the one located at symmetrical position of the filter before filtering. Then. we rearrange the delay line of the filter in a U-shaped fashion. requiring no global interconnection between the components. The proposed architecture for the IDWT filter consists of delay units. operator units, adder units. and postprocessor unit. Since each units are configured regularly and interconnected locally. the proposed architecture can accommodate arbitrary linear phase IDWTs by simply adding/removing the corresponding units. The M -level IDWT can be implemented by interconnecting the proposed architecture in a cascaded or semi-recursive form. It is expected that the proposed architecture for the IDWT can be effectively employed in the related area including MPEG-4, since the proposed architecture is less complex than the conventional architectures.

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in body cathexis, need, clothing value according to the demographic characteristics of women and to clarify the influences of demographic characteristics, body cathexis, and need on the clothing value. For the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 436 women in the Kyungnam region. Obtained data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and $Scheff{\acute{e}}'s$ multiple range for differences in body cathexis, need, clothing value according to the demographic characteristics and multiple regression analysis for influence of demographic characteristics, body cathexis, and need on the clothing value. The results of this study were as follows. The body cathexis, need, clothing value according to the demographic characteristics showed significant differences in part. Among these factors, the media contact was proved to be more important on body cathexis, need, clothing value, but the income and occupation status did not have a difference on any subordinate factors of the clothing value.

Lookism is spread largely because many people think beautiful people are treated better and receive more favors. This trend has been influenced by mass media and impacted by commercial marketing strategy. The expectation for the beauty have risen higher than ever. People expect beautiful body and beautiful face which are more difficult to meet the standard of beauty. People desire tall and skinny body. The purpuse of this study was to find out body image from college females in the age which they are very sensitive to appearance. This research focused to find out how they perceived their own body shape and their perception of the most ideal body shape. Measuring tool for the research was 9 pictures of body silhouette from very skinny to very fat. To analyse the respondents' objective body image, Body Mass Index were employed. The result of this research indicated that there were distinct differences between their subjective body images and ideal body images. This result indicated that they were not satisfied with their own body shape and hence they were not confident towards their body images. Even though their objective bodies were normal or under weight, they still felt they were over weight. This meant their body images were misrepresented. They preferred thinner bodies even though their bodies were perfectly normal and healthy. But these misrepresented body images could be unhealthy physically, psychologically, or socially. These results showed that college females were overly obsessive with superficial appearance rather than improving ones capability to be more competitive in the society. From this research, I tried to find out perception of body image and it's distortion which was debated a lot in our society. I also want to provide basic reference material for establishing the body image study.

The purpose of this study is to observe the symbolic meaning and the values of the costume which express bisexuality through the definition from a culture point of view. The research method is to contemplate the documentary records such as world history, art history and clothing history, and to recognize the symbolic meaning of a bisexuality in modern fashion design. A definition the word´man and woman´restricted the human being for a long time. This restrict is enforced by the costume, but this traditional fixed idea is retarded by the liberal sense of the human being and the design expresses a sex ambiguity This study inspects the sex ambiguity and the meaning of that through a cultural background and a historical costume. The results are as follows: The first, the cultural background about bisexuality is classified into the etymological point, the mythologic point. the art and philosophical point, the political and economic background, the mass media, and the custome and the regulation. A bisexuality is a concept in existence from ancient times. we have an open-minded attitude about bisexuality in the present than the past. The second, the function of costume is sex classification before 20th century, but since 20th century the costume expresses sex ambiguity. The third, the symbols of the bisexuality are the interminacy, the unity and the dismantling. The costume which expresses bisexuality means coexistence of male sex and female sex. this is a kind of motion to embody a ideal body of the human being. This study makes a contribution to recognize the dignity of human body and to understand the phenomenon of modern society.

It is a time when a sustainable Korean Culture Festival strategy is needed. The Korean Culture Festival is a Hallyu Culture Festival that comprehensively introduces various Korean cultures such as Korean food, beauty, and fashion with the focus on K content, which has been leading the global craze since 2020. As the core project of the promotion of Neo Hallyu by the Ministry of Culture and Gymnasium, the 2021 Korean Culture Festival, which was based on the World K-Pop concert and the K-Culture Fan Fair, including holding the first face-to-face concert that applied the stage of real-world content after Covid-19, as well as conducting and exhibiting various fan participation challenges, must now make the leap to the global Hallyu Culture Festival. To this end, it can consist of drama, K-pop, K-Culture Fan Fair, K-Meetup, K-Culture Parade, and Awards. This distinction shows a classic festival program centered around the prosumer content that drives the Korean Wave, and in order for this philosophy to be effectively linked to its contemporaries, a Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) 'Techtainment Strategy' is needed to acquire potential customers through learned playfulness.
