의복관여도와 TV매체 관련변인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Clothing Involvement and TV media-related Influential Factors)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the dimensions of clothing involvement of female undergraduates in Busan and some influential factors of TV on the clothing involvement. This research also shows the correlations among variables and the differences in clothing involvement and TV media-related influential factors by the customer types. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The clothing involvement is categorized into five factors: pleasure, fashionableness, symbolism, danger awareness, and disinterest in clothing. Four TV media-related influential factors are identified: conformity to entertainers' clothing, interest in entertainers, interest in TV-watching, and imitation of entertainers. 2. An analysis of correlation between clothing involvement and TV media-related variables shows that there is a correlation between conformity to entertainers' clothing and various clothing involvement factors as fashionableness, symbolism and pleasure. A factor of interest in TV-watching is related to symbolism and interest in clothing. A factor of imitation of entertainers is related to fashionableness and disinterest in clothing. 3. An analysis of the differences by the customer types leads to four types of categorization. Type 1 shows low interests in clothing and TV media-related variables. Type 2 demonstrates high clothing involvement and interest in TV-watching. Type 3 is classified as a high involvement/ conformity group, which not only shows high involvement in pleasure and symbolism of clothing but also high conformity to entertainers' clothing. And lastly, type 4 is an disinterest group but it shows high interest in TV-watching, entertainers and imitation of entertainers.

Makeup Design and the Application of 3D Facial Avatar Makeup Simulation

  • The purpose of this study is to design appropriate digital tools for the production of makeup designs. In this study, we used a three-dimensional facial avatar simulation program developed by the Electronics and Telecommunications Research. This study is based on the creation of three-dimensional CG digital art of facial avatar makeup, produced by using simulation technology. First, the actual application and the tools for digital-optimization and media features were created, leading to the research and cleanup. Second, the theoretical background was applied to the formative elements of oriental colors in the designing process. Makeup design elements include point, line, surface, color, and texture. In this study, effective makeup design was interpreted to be based on the representation of particular elements, notably the design principles of balance, proportion, rhythm, repetition, emphasis, contrast, harmony, and unity. In Asia, design is based on the visibility of red, blue, black, yellow, and white-the colors of the five elements-and the use of points, lines, and shapes. This study was recently under scrutiny in relations to digital simulation and various three-dimensional designs, in terms of how to take advantage of a wide range of applications, and how to apply the findings through media and the dissemination of basic research. This study applies the characteristics of the limited existing stereoscopic three-dimensional and digital simulation programs in order to take advantage of the empirical research, providing a basis to implement this research in a meaningful way. A follow-up study is needed to extend these findings and theoretical foundation through continuous observation and in-depth technical development and research.

Impacts of Information Source and E-service Quality on Mobile Shopping Behavior in KakaoTalk

  • KakaoTalk has become a reputed mobile social network and an inseparable part of people's lives by leading the mobile industry in South Korea. However, there is a lack of studies in academia regarding perception of the consumers and assessment toward the mobile marketing and services by KakaoTalk. Based on the theoretical orientation of Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM: Petty & Cacioppo, 1986) and electronic service quality (E-S-QUAL: Parasuraman, Zeithaml, & Malhotra, 2005), this study investigates the effects of information sources (Charles & Richard, 1988), and examines the consumer perception toward the service quality of KakaoTalk. A total of 209 responses were collected, using a self-administered survey in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, South Korea from March 2015 to June 2015. A seven-point Likert scale survey was developed to measure the information sources (i.e., argument quality, post popularity, and post attractiveness), electronic service quality (i.e., efficiency, fulfillment, privacy, and system availability), attitude (i.e., usefulness, preference, and overall attitude), and behavioral intention (i.e., like intention, share intention, and purchase intention). This study reveals a consensus that an online environment is different from the traditional retail context in terms of information source and service quality. Specifically, the results indicate that argument quality greatly impacts the attitudes of the individuals and their behavioral intention toward mobile shopping via social media channel. The most powerful factor among E-S-QUAL is "efficiency." This dimension of service quality influences the customer perception of usefulness and preference as well as share and like intention toward mobile shopping on KakaoTalk.

방한 대중문화 관광객의 관광행동에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on Tourism-related Behavior of Popular Cultural Tourists Visiting Korea)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 관광동기로 작용하는 한국의 대중문화에 따라 관광객을 유형화하고 그 특성과 의사결정과정에서의 관광행동 차이를 탐색하는 것이다. 2018 외래관광객 실태조사 자료를 활용하여 12,914명의 여가관광객 표본에 대해 다항로짓(MNL)분석 및 일원분산분석(ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 음식, 패션, 팝으로 구분된 대중문화 관광객 집단은 그 외 여가관광객 집단과 비교하여 인구통계학적 특성과 관광행동에서 유의미한 차이가 발견되었다. 대중문화 관광객은 다른 여가관광객에 비하여 여성의 비율과 소셜미디어의 활용, 한국과 지리적으로 가까운 국가에서 방문하는 비중이 높았다. 특히 K-pop 관광객은 목적지로서 한국을 선택함에 가장 주저함이 없었고, 한국 방문빈도가 가장 높았다. 또한 관광만족도와 재방문의도, 타인추천의도가 가장 높게 나타나 충성도와 성장 잠재력을 보였다. 본 연구는 세계적 영향력을 넓혀가는 한국 대중문화와 관광의 상호작용에 대한 이해 확장에 의의가 있다.

간접광고가 구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (Decomposing Impact of Product Placement on Purchase Intention)

  • 본 연구는 간접광고가 시청자인 소비자의 구매 의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하고자 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 최근 간접광고가 일반 광고보다 비용이 저렴하고 노출시간에 따른 제한으로부터 자유롭다는 장점 때문에 급격히 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 이런 현상을 반영하기 위해 간접광고에 대한 중요도가 높은 변수와 시대적 변화를 반영한 변수를 모형에 포함하였다. 이를 위해, 본 연구는 간접광고의 고유 특성을 반영한 변수로 유행 관여도, 연예인관여도, 노골적 묘사, 노출 정도를, 간접광고의 윤리적 측면을 반영한 변수로 윤리 준수, 소비자 기만을, 간접광고의 이용 수단을 반영한 변수로 프로그램 인기성, 매체 친숙도를 선정하였다. 분석 결과, 연예인 관여도와 프로그램 인기성은 유의수준 0.01에서 소비자 구매 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 그리고 소비자 기만은 유의수준 0.01에서 소비자 구매 의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만, 유행 관여도, 노골적 묘사, 노출 정도, 윤리 준수, 매체 친숙도는 통계학적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못한 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 선행연구와의 비교를 통해 분석 결과를 해석하였으며, 간접광고와 구매 의도 간의 연관성에 따른 시사점을 제안하고자 하였다.

1920-30년대 한국의 이상적 '신여성' 이미지와 패션 (The Ideal Image and Fashion of the 'New Woman' in Korea in the 1920s and 1930s)

  • The term "new woman" (신여성 [Sinyeoseong], 新女性) refers to an idealized image of contemporary women during the so-called modern period in East Asia. In Korea, these "modern girls" were also referred to as modan (毛斷), or "cut-hair", reflecting changes in appearances that rejected the traditional value system in favor of "the new" in everyday life. Although it was used to refer to the perceived educated leaders of this new period, it also had the negative connotation of referring to frivolous women only interested in the latest fashion. The popular discourse on this "new woman" was constantly changing during this early modern period in East Asia, ranging from male-driven women's movements to women-driven liberal and socialist movements. The discourse often included ideals of what constituted female impeccability in women's domestic roles and enlightened views on housekeeping, yet in most cases the "new woman" was also expected to be a good wife and mother as well as a successful career woman. The concept of the "new woman" was also accompanied by an upheaval in women's social roles and their physical boundaries, and resulted in women repositioning themselves in the new society. The new look was a way of constructing their bodies to fit their new roles, and this again was rapidly reproduced in visual media. Newspapers, magazines, and plays had gained immense popularity by this time and provided visual material for the age with covers, advertisements, and illustrations. This research will explore the fashion of the "new woman" through archival resources, specifically magazines published in the 1920s and 1930s. It will investigate how women's appearances and the images they pursued reflected the ideal image of the "new woman." Fashion information providers, trendsetters, and levels of popular acceptance will also be examined in the context of the early stage of the fashion industry in East Asia, including production and distribution. Additionally, as the idea of the "new woman" was a worldwide phenomenon throughout the 19th and early 20th century, the effect of Japanese colonialism on the structure of Korean culture and its role as a cultural mediator will also be considered in how the ideal image of beauty was sought, and whether this was a western, colonial, or national preference.

소비자 활동 지표를 통한 국내외 스포츠, SPA 패션 브랜드의 페이스북 활용 사례연구 (Case Study of Using Facebook of Each Type of Internal and External Sports and SPA Fashion Brands)

  • This study selected a case study method conforming to qualitative research in order to analyzed how each type of fashion enterprises uses SNS in-side of fashion marketing based on content the researcher monitored and selected from the Facebook website for each enterprise. The standard to select fashion brands in this study is a graded list made based on ranking 5 analysis sites on social media (Socialbakers, socialDigm, Pulse K, BigFoot9, L2). The researcher sorted and then analyzed 2 brands that have many fan joiners and followers among fashion brands that were ranked top of the graded list, work in Facebook animatedly, and had representativeness in each type (SPA, Sports Brands). The study was conducted from January 2013 to March 2013, and the index of Facebook consisted of 3 kinds of elements (comment, like, and share). Each numerical value was counted to decide the monthly ranking. Content analysis was divided into public relations about brand, public relations about products, and customer participation and activities; consequently, the researcher investigated which content was post conforming to the ranking. The study analyzed the analysis results of each brand derived through the method of study compared to other brands. The results are as follows. In case of SPA brands, the category accounting for high rank in index analysis are public relation events to attract customer attention and products and offering information. The results of the monthly trend about whole post category were also similarly analyzed so the promotion goal that the brand wants to seek in priority coincides with the customer compliance rate. Next, in the case of sports brand, public relations for products offering information, event for arousing customer concern, and participation activities accounted for a high rank in the index analysis and posted the most in the analysis of the monthly trend for whole post category. The researcher came to understand that the direction of content for brands shown through Facebook coincides with customer sympathy.

MF sampler: 동영상 기반 패션 검색 모델의 성능 향상을 위한 샘플링 방법 (MF sampler: Sampling method for improving the performance of a video based fashion retrieval model)

  • 최근 소셜 미디어의 숏폼(Short form) 동영상(인스타그램, 틱톡, 유튜브) 시장이 점차 증가하면서 인공지능 영역에서는 이를 활용한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 대표적인 연구분야로 동영상 내의 패션 상품을 탐지하고 상품 이미지를 검색하는 Video to shop 을 들 수 있다. 이와 같은 동영상 기반 인공지능 모델에서는 Convolution 연산을 사용하여 상품의 특징을 추출한다. 하지만 연산 자원의 제한으로 인해, 동영상의 모든 프레임을 사용하여 특징을 추출하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 이로 인해, 기존 연구에서는 전체 프레임 중 일부만 샘플링해서 사용하거나, 주제의 특성을 활용한 샘플링 방법을 개발하여 이를 통해 위 문제점을 개선하고, 모델의 성능도 향상시켰다. 기존의 Video to shop 연구에서는 프레임을 샘플링 할 때, 무작위로 일부분의 프레임을 샘플링하거나 균등한 간격으로 샘플링 한다. 하지만 이러한 샘플링 방법은 상품이 존재하지 않는 노이즈 프레임을 샘플링 하면서 패션 상품 검색 모델의 성능을 저하시킨다. 이에 본 연구는 노이즈 프레임을 제거하고 검색 모델의 성능을 향상시키는 샘플링 방법 MF(Missing Fashion items on frame) sampler를 제안한다. MF sampler는 키 프레임 메커니즘(Mechanism)을 발전시켜 자원 한계의 문제점을 개선했다. 또한, 노이즈 탐지 모델을 활용한 노이즈 프레임 제거를 통해 검색 모델의 성능을 향상시켰다. 이와 같은 결과는 실험을 통해 확인되었고, Video to shop 패션 상품 검색에 있어 성능 향상과 효과적인 학습이 가능하다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

해체주의를 응용한 메이크업 일러스트레이션 (The Make-up illustrations Based on Deconstruction)

  • This study aims to suggest new directions for the development of make-up design by understanding characteristics of deconstruction make-up and to search for new directions and methods in theme expressions and design conceptions by making illustrations with deconstruction themes. This study examines conceptual characteristics of Derrida's deconstruction, and analyzes the various deconstruction make-up styles through the famous fashion magazines such as Beauty Collection, Collections, Fem, Modain, and Vogue since 1997. The make-up illustration works in this study were made depending on these styles. At first, the nature of deconsouction make-up can be explained as deconstruction of existing methods, deconstruction of the sexes and deconstruction of history or ethnicity. The deconstruction of existing methods can be subdivided into decadence make-up, detester make-up, graphic make-up and collage make-up. Deconstruction of the sexes can be explained androgynous make-up. Deconstruction of history or ethnicity is subdivided into white makeup, ancient Egyptian dark eye make-up and raceless make-up. The deconstruction make-up illustrations present infinite possibilities in expression styles through three dimensional expressions and media mixture using not only drawing materials including watercolor, poster-color, and color pencils but also objets including magazines, coarse fabrics, screentone, beads, suede, sand and so on. The study shows that since deconstruction make-up illustrations are not limited to depiction-centered expressions, they serve creating unique images and future inspirations.

온라인 쇼핑사이트 모델의 신체사이즈가 여성소비자의 신체이미지에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Model's Body Size in Online Shopping Site on Female Consumers' Body Image)

  • This study (1) explores female consumers' attitudes toward fat people and perceptions about plus-size models, (2) addresses female consumers' responses to models with different body sizes, and (3) examines the effect of plus-size model presence on female consumers' body image. We collected an online questionnaire from a total of 600 female participants in their 20's and 30's. Stimuli included six full-colored photo images of models with thin and plus body sizes (three in each group). Images were captured from the online shopping site of the fashion brand currently providing both average and plus-size clothes. Respondents were randomly assigned one of the groups by model size. Results support the sociocultural perspective that a thin/ideal body of models has a negative influence on female viewers' sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, mood state and body satisfaction. Findings also suggest that exposure to plus-size models can reduce negative media effects on females body image perceptions, regardless of individual body size.
