Acceptance of Smart Clothing Based on Outdoor Consumption Behavior

  • Recently, following the commercialization and market entry of smart clothes with diverse functions, smart clothes have been changing from technology-centered products to user-centered products. However, the analysis of consumer demand centered on actual commercialized products is lacking. Therefore, this study classified commercialized smart clothes by function and analyzed the demand and requirements of smart clothes according to sports/outdoor clothes consumption behaviors. As a result, consumers were classified according to their sports/outdoor clothes consumption behaviors into an outdoor leading group with high consumption propensity, an outdoor pursuit group with medium consumption propensity, and an outdoor following group with low consumption propensity. Among the commercialized smart clothes, those with a heartbeat measuring function, those with a heating function, and those with a light-emitting function were presented and demand analysis was conducted. According to the results, the outdoor leading group and the outdoor pursuit group had higher levels of awareness, preference, and purchase intentions than the outdoor following group. In addition, the outdoor leading group showed the highest level of purchase price acceptance while the outdoor following group showed the lowest level of purchase price acceptance. However, this study has a limitation that the acceptance for smart clothes were analyzed with consumers who had experience in sports outdoor clothes consumption. Therefore, in future, studies will be conducted with a wide range of consumers.

  • The purposes of this study were to review the management systems of internet web sites dealing with 'second hand luxury goods', examine purchasing motives and the level of satisfaction, and identify the differences of consumers' characteristics between purchasers and non-purchasers. 8 representative internet web sites were investigated. And 80 purchasers and 94 non-purchasers were surveyed using questionnaires. The data were analyzed using t-test and frequency analysis. The results were as followings: 1) Most purchasers of second hand luxury goods were women aged 20's. They used internet web sites to purchase real luxury goods more cheaply and were satisfied with their purchase behavior; 2) Both purchasers and non-purchasers of second hand luxury goods got high scores for the self-esteem and the propensity of materialism and conspicuous consumption which were above average. But both of them were less influenced by reference group; and 3) The propensity of materialism and the preference to name brands of purchasers were higher than those of non-purchasers.

인터넷 기사와 Best Item 분석을 통해 살펴본 어린이 화장품 연구 (A Study on Children's Cosmetics Based on Analyzing Internet News and Best Items)

  • The number of children wearing make-up is increasing. "Children's cosmetics" is not a legal term though it is commonly used. The purpose of this study is to analyze discussions on children's cosmetics based on news articles found on the internet. This study also identifies what products are being distributed as children's cosmetics. Keyword searches were conducted using internet portal sites. Information was extracted from news articles and Best Item 100 for children's cosmetics. The results of analyzing news articles and Best Item 100 lists are as follows : 1. There were two main discussion topics in news articles. The first topic was related to marketing(the branding and trends of children's cosmetics). The other topic was about government regulations(side effects, harmful ingredients, control, regulations, attention, proper product usage, product categorization, and the overall safety of children's cosmetics). By 2014, many articles had covered government control and regulation. However, since 2017, news articles have focused on the product categorization and the concern for overall safety has dramatically increased. 2. Three different product categories have appeared in the Best Item 100; they are cosmetics, toys, and other products. In market, consumers recognized children's cosmetics as cosmetics and also as toys. Between 2017 and 2018's Best Item, other products are dramatically down, color cosmetics and single cosmetics are on the rise, and the purchase of domestic products has increased.

남성의 외모 관리 행동에 대한 태도 및 인식 (Male Attitude and Recognition for Appearance Management Behavior)

  • This study aims on observing the recognition and attitude of caring for outer appearance by deducing the factors of men caring for their outer appearance at current point where male position is being emphasized in the appearance related market and their interest for outer appearance care is increasing. As a result of conducting a survey, male appearance caring behavior was distinguished into fashion, skin and cosmetic, cosmetic surgery, physical image, and hair factors, and among them, physical image factor showed the highest average, which proves that men generally have positive attitude towards caring for their looks. Concerning skin and cosmetics, the results show that interest is high regardless of age and occupation, and the lower the age is, the higher average for fashion, cosmetic surgery, and hair factors, proving that young men have more interest for caring after their looks. However, there was difference in outer appearance caring behavior pursued or favored by each age bracket according to the higher average for physical image in the age bracket higher than 30. Also, each factor of outer appearance caring behavior turned out to have significant correlation to each other.

  • The purpose of this study is to make up an effective market strategy for distinguishing clothing shops through analysing the influences on store choice behaviors by demographical characteristics, clothing shopping orientations and information search activities as well as analysing the effects of information search activities according to clothing shopping orientations, together with clarifying the dimension of clothing shopping orientations and information search activities. Clothing shopping orientations were factor analyzed resulting five factors, such as Recreational Shopping, Store/Brand Loyalty, Economic Shopping, Fashion Synchronization, Careful shopping. Information search behavior were factor analyzed resulting five factors, such as mass media information, commercial media information, personal information, store information, past experience information. According to a result of looking into the influences of clothing shopping orientations on information search behaviors, as shopping orientation for pleasure, fashion synchronization orientation, brand store royal orientation & economical orientation go high, the search degree of store information & mass media information, commercial media information & personal information, past experience information and personal information raise up respectively more and more. The results of regression analysis at factors affecting the store choice behaviors are significantly different.

  • 최근 스마트폰 시장의 성장세가 둔화되면서 IOT 산업을 이끌어갈 새로운 성장 동력으로 웨어러블 디바이스가 부상하고 있다. 본 연구는 웨어러블 디바이스의 확산에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고자 소비자 측면에서 웨어러블 디바이스의 제품 속성(지각된 유용성, 지각된 사용용이성)과 소비자의 개인적 특성 요인(혁신성, 유행선도력, 자기효능감, 건강관심도) 가운데 구매 의도에 미치는 영향을 잠재적 이용자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 통해 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 소비자의 개인적 특성 중에서는 유행 선도력과 건강 관심도, 제품 속성에서는 지각된 유용성과 지각된 사용 용이성이 웨어러블 디바이스의 구매 의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같이 웨어러블 디바이스 역시 유용성과 사용 용이성이 구매 의사에 결정적인 영향을 주기 때문에 소비자의 이용 경험을 고려한 제품 개발이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

남성 시니어 요실금팬티 설계를 위한 제품 분석 연구 (A Study of Product Analysis for Incontinence Products for the Development of Urinary Incontinence Panties for Senior Male)

  • This study aims to contribute to the development of male incontinence underwear with an anti-aging effect that meets customer requirements by examining the types, sorts, sizes and specifications of male incontinence underwear currently sold on the market. The results of an analysis of a total of eight commercial products are as follows. 1) Among the samples, six types of incontinence underwear were of a pull-on style like regular underwear; two types were of a pad insertion style. With respect to the underwear design, four (50%) types of incontinence underwear were brief style. The rest were drawers (3, 37.5%). Only one was of a trunk (12.5%) style. 2) With respect to size, the percentage of Size 3 was 50%, followed by Size 4 (50%). Most of the size of the underwear uses hip measurement whereas Japanese products (3, 37.5 %) use waist circumference. 3) With respect to the materials of the incontinence underwear, natural fibers such as cotton were mostly used and a polyurethane or polyester was mixed to enhance the wearing sensation and stretchability of the underwear. Finally, for the structure of the pad area, a napping finish was the largest (3, 37.5%), single knit 2(25%), twill weave 2(25%), and rib weave 1.

계면활성제 혼합 천연지방산유지 고형 비누의 세척성 및 생분해성 연구 - 생분해성을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Washing Effect Biodegradation of Natural Fat Soap - On Based Biodegradation -)

  • The purpose of the study was to get the valuable data for developing the new natural fat soaps which have an excellent biodegradation performance. Thus, natural fat soaps mixed with the two types of detergents (AOS and LAS) on the various concentrations were made and the biodegradation of the samples were analysed by Dissolved Oxygen method using active sludge. Also, the results were compared with the commercial synthetic detergents and market soaps. The results from the study were the followings: 1. The plant fat soap and the wasted oil soap with the concentration of 5 mg/l and 15 mg/l had an excellent biodegradation rather than animal fat soap. 2. There was little difference among samples with the concentration of 5 mg/l, but there was much difference among them with the concentration of 15 mg/l. 3. The periods for consuming oxygen of wasted oil soap mixed AOS and LAS was the fastest.

대인관계성향, 남성성유형에 따른 외모관련소비행동 연구 - 외모관심도의 매개효과 분석 - (Appearance-Related Consumption Behavior according to Interpersonal Relations and Masculinity - Mediated effect of Appearance Concern -)

  • This study identifies the influences of appearance-related consumption behavior according to interpersonal relations and masculinity examined through amediated effect of appearance concerns based on a structural study method. Five hypotheses were established to verify the relationships of interpersonal relations, masculinity and appearance-related consumption behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 201 males in their 20s to 50s living in Daegu South Korea. The SPSS 20.0 package utilized for data analysis included frequency analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. This study utilized an Amos 21.0 program, a Confirmative Factor Analysis(CFA)and a Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). The results of the study are as follows: First, the appearance concern showed a partial mediation effect between measurement variables that verified the causal relationship of the structural model. Second, interpersonal relations showed a positive influence on masculinity. Third, masculinity showed a positive influence on the appearance concern. Fourth, masculinity had a positive influence on appearance-related consumption behavior. Fifth, interpersonal relations did not have a significant influence on appearance-related consumption behavior. Sixth, the appearance concern showed a positive influence on appearance-related consumption behavior. The findings of this study can influence a market segmentation strategy by predicting future emotional and new consumption markets strategies for male's appearance-related product.

Research on the Impact of Jeju Rural Area's Changing Funeral Ritual about Shrouds

  • The objective of this research is to find out status and consciousness about shrouds according to changes of Jeju's rural funeral ritual while reviewing Jeju's traditional shrouds. Consciousness of customs regarding tradition is much stronger in Jeju Island. Since it was said that shrouds and changes of funeral ritual have very systematic correlation according to the result of precedent researches, changes of funeral rituals of Jeju's rural area were examined. At the same time, consciousness about traditional shrouds of Jeju people was also studied. As the result of examination through literary investigation, visits to rural homes, visits to production places of Jeju's shrouds and interviews with grandmothers designated as human cultural assets of traditional Jeju shrouds, etc, it was found out that Jeju's rural funeral rituals had been rapidly changed since 2000. Traditional Jeju shrouds are also disappearing. In particular, old women of Jeju have considered preparation of their own and their husbands' shrouds in advance as a virtue. However, as it gradually became more difficult to produce and prepare traditional shrouds at homes and as the space of funeral was changed from their own houses to hospitals and/or commercial funeral homes, it was found out that a ratio of people's using general shrouds sold in market was increased and it is believed that this kind of trend will be accelerated more and more in the future.
