가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 여성관리자의 일·가정 양립에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Family Care Leave and Vacation Systems on Work-Family Balance of Female Managers)

  • 본 연구는 2019년 개정 및 신설된 가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 여성관리자의 일·가정 양립에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 제도의 효과를 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 2020년 여성관리자패널 자료 중 제도 사용경험이 있는 유배우 여성관리자 1,040명을 분석대상으로 삼아 성향점수매칭과 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 성향점수매칭 결과, 가족돌봄휴직 사용자 집단의 가족돌봄시간은 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 적었고, 사용자 집단의 일·가정 갈등 수준과 가정·일 갈등 수준도 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 높았다. 가족돌봄휴가의 경우 사용자 집단의 조직형태가 국가/지방자치단체인 경우가 미사용자 집단보다 유의하게 높았다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 가족돌봄휴직 사용 경험이 가정·일 갈등에 미치는 정적 영향이 유의미하였다. 본 연구결과는 현행 가족돌봄휴직·휴가제도가 일·가정 관계에 긍정적인 영향을 미치기에는 부족하다는 것을 시사하며, 지속적인 정책효과 검증을 통해 정책을 수정·보완해 나가야 함을 뜻한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the policy demands of the family sector for work-family balance, with a focus on the child care and household labor provisions. For empirical analysis, data were collected from 197 dual-income families with at least one young child under age 10 in the metropolitan area via self-administered questionnaires. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, child care provisions for working mothers and fathers were insufficient and unfair, and the ratio of child care provisions offered by familial child care network was high. The characteristics of child care provisions for working parents were associated with family structure, working conditions, and demographic variables. Second, household labor provisions for working mothers and fathers were also insufficient and unfair, and the ratio of socialization was high. Third, the level of family satisfaction varied by the level of child care and household labor provisions, respectively, controlling family structure, working conditions, and demographic variables. The empirical results of the study provided policy implications for work-family balance.

기업의 자녀돌봄지원제도가 미취학자녀를 둔 기혼여성의 이직의향 및 일-가정 상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The effect of family care program in workplace on turnover intention and work-family interaction for married working women)

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how having a family care program in the workplace for working women with preschool children affects these women's work and family life. This study employs a panel analysis based on data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families. The major results are as follows. First, financial support for nursery care is only significantly related to the turnover of married women with preschool children. Second, the negative effects of work on the family are significantly influenced by financial support for nursery care and maternity leave. Third, financial support for nursery care is also significantly related to the positive effects of work on the family. In conclusion, a family-friendly care program including financial support for nursery care and maternity leave in the workplace is an important support system for working mothers in raising their children.

입원환자가족의 가정문제에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Family Problem of the Hospitalized Patients)

  • This study was conducted to identify the family problems of the in-patients and to analize factors Influencing to the family problems. The subjects for this study were 277 family members those who were giving care for the adult patients during hospitalized in general wards at Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul. Data were collected through interviews with the questionnaire from September second to September twentieth in 1989. The instrument used for this study was the family problems scale which was developed by the researcher. Analysis of data was done by frequency, percent, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson-Correlation Coefficients, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. General characteristics of the care-giver in family. The average age of care-givers was 37.9 years, and the $26.4\%$ of monthly Income of family was 310,000-500,000 won group. The $93.5\%$ of family had taken the responsibility of caring for the patients instead of hiring the care-givers, and the $12.3\%$of the care-givers complained weakning of health status during care giving for the patients. The spouse took the largest part of responsibility of the care-giving services to the patient among the family members. 2. General characteristics of the patients. The average age of patient was 47 years, and the $80.9\%$ of patient was married status. The $39\%$ of patient was father in the position of family, and the $41.5\%$ had the responsibility to support their family before hospitalization. The average hospitalization period of patient was 24.3 day and the $50.9\%$ had admission experience. 3. The factors of family problems which were faced by the family were classified into six problems. The factors of family problems were ranked as follows; the first rank problem was related to care-giving for the patients. the second problem was resulted from the patients diseases, the theirds problem was related with adaptation to the hospital enviroments, the fourth problem was related to the arisen conflicts with medical team. the fifth problem was related to the change of family function. and the sixth problem was the financial problem. 4. The relationship between the family problems and the general charateristics of the care-givers showed that the nuclear type family was higher the family problems, that the admission period of patients became longer, and that the family who had the worse condition of health status of the care givers during care giving for the patients. From the above results, it was confirmed that the family care giving for patients was faced with some problems resulted from patient's illness, relation to the medical team, adaptation to the hospital enviroment, financial problem. change of family function, and care-giving for patients.

주간보호시설과 요양시설 치매 환자 가족의 부양 스트레스와 시설간호서비스 만족도 (Family Member's Caregiving Stress and Satisfaction of Care for Patients with Dementia in Long Term Care Facilities and Day Care Centers)

  • Purpose: This study was to explore family member's caregiving stress and satisfaction of care for patients with dementia in long term care facilities and day care centers. Methods: The subjects were 129 family members of elders with dementia from ten long term care facilities and eight day care centers in Daegu and Kyungsangbukdo. Data were collected from August to October, 2007. The instruments were self administered questionnaires and included. The Family Perceptions of Caregiving Role (FPCR) and the Family Perceptions of Care Tool (FPCT) which were developed by Maas and Buckwalter (1990) and translated by Park (2002). Results: Family member's care giving stress in day care centers were higher than that of long term care facilities (t=-2.89, p=.005) especially in the categories of captivity (t=-3.27, p=.001), guilty (t=-2.93, p=.004), and loss (t=-2.44, p=.016). Family member's satisfaction of care in day care centers was higher than that of long term care facilities (t=-3.21, p=.002) in the (use - categories or measures since you are referring to the instrument and delete aspects) aspects of effective management (t=-3.69, p=.000) and activity (t=-2.00, p=.045). Conclusion: The results of this study showed that family members' perceptions toward their care giving roles and satisfaction of care differ whether the facilities are long term care or day care centers. This study provides baseline data that could be used for improving the quality of long term care services.

  • Family day care centers, in apartment complexes, which are popular in korea, have merits as day care centers for young children due to their homey environments, closeness to children's homes, and available outdoor playground utilizing open space in the complexes. Thus, It is great potential to develop design guideline of family day care in apartment which are in demand now, The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for develop of design guideline family day care center. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate important the point of issues that influence the development of design family day care center. The study of the point of issues are environment behavior, Murtha & Lee' User Benefit Criteria, and Pattern theory. As a result, this study provide basic data of develop design guideline of family day care and important data of next study.

치매노인을 돌보는 가족부양자 부양부담의 영향 요인: 치매지원센터 이용자를 중심으로 (Influencing Factors on Care Burden among Family Caregivers for Elders with Dementia: Focusing on Family Caregivers using a Support Center for Dementia)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to explore influencing factors on care burden among family caregivers for elders with dementia living at home. Methods: Participants in this study were 211 family caregivers who were taking care of elders registered at a support center for dementia located in S-gu, Seoul. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression in SPSS WIN 23.0. Results: The care burden of family caregivers was mild to moderate ($40.31{\pm}21.50$) in this study. The factors influencing care burden among family caregivers for elders with dementia were the age, behavioral problems, and dependency in instrumental activities of daily living of demented elderly, in addition to the perceived health status and resting hours of family caregivers. Overall, these factors explained 46.5% of the total variability in care burden in this sample (F=13.01, p<.001). Conclusion: Findings from this study suggest that the characteristics of demented elderly and family caregivers can influence care burden differently. Individually tailored strategies based on the various caregiving contexts need to be developed to reduce the level of care burden among family caregivers for elders with dementia.

입원한 정신질환자 가족의 가정간호 요구도와 가족부담감 (The Relationship Between Home Care Needs of Families of In-Patients and Family Burden)

  • This study was designed to investigate the family burden, family home care needs and to identify the relationship between family burden and home care needs for families of psychiatric in-patients. The subjects for this study were 104 family members of psychiatric in-patients at two private hospitals and one municipal hospital. The data were collected during the period from February 1. 1993 to March 30. 1993. The questionnaire developed by Montgomery to measure the family burden was used as modified by the research team for this study. The questionnaire was developed by Garrad to measure the home care need was also used as modifed by the research team. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOV A and Pearson Correlation Coeffcient. with the SPSS program. The Result of this study can be summarized as follows ; 1. For perceived family burden, the meanscore as measured by the guestionnaire was 70.6 of a possible to total of 110. 2. For home care need. the meanscore as measured by the questionnaire was 44.8 fo a possible total of 66. 3. The results showed a higher score for cases from the municipal hospital for family burden and a higher score for cases at the private hospitals for home care need. 4. Ther was a statistically significantly higher score on family burden for female family member (T =-2.77. P<.05) and for bereaved family members. (F=2.862. p<.05) 5. There was a statistically significantly higher score (F= 10.3535, P<.001) for family burden when the hospitalization period was between 7~ 12 months and a statistically significantly higher score (F =7.679.P<.001) for home care need when the hospitalization period was over 37 months. 6. Ther was a significant correlation between family burden and home care need. (r=.4002, P<.05) The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that addressing home care needs would contribute to reduce family burden.

치매노인 주부양자의 노인복지시설에 대한 인식 (Family Care-givers' Perceptions of Welfare Facility for Elderly People with Dementia)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the family care-givers' perceptions of welfare facility for the elderly people with dementia, to analyze the related variables, and to provide the suggestions from the perspectives of the well-being of family care-givers. The survey was done using questionnaires in 1999, and the subjects were 198 primary care-givers for senile dementia patients. Frequency distribution, mean, t-test, and one way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The major findings of this study were as follows: The family care-givers' perceptions of the welfare facility for elderly people with dementia was relatively low. The variables associated were sex, education level, occupation and relationship with the demented elderly. The conclusion suggested from this study was that the social welfare facilities and services were necessary for both the demented elderly people themselves and their family care-givers.

노인장기요양보험 시설서비스에 대한 가족수발자 만족도 영향 요인 (Factors related to Family Caregiver Satisfaction with the Institutional care services under the Public Long-Term Care Insurance system)

  • This study examined the factors related to family caregiver satisfaction with institutional care services for beneficiaries under the Public Long-Term Care Insurance(PLTCI) system. Determining what contributes to family caregiver satisfaction is a critical step toward implementing effective quality improvement strategies. A national cross-sectional descriptive survey was conducted from November to December 2008, using proportionate quota sampling based on the location and level of Long-Term Care of the beneficiaries. Total 1,745 family caregivers wrote informed consents and 733 (response rate 42%) completed questionnaires, which included caregiver characteristics, organizational resources, primary objective and subjective stressors, perceived quality of services, and family caregiver satisfaction. Family caregivers were satisfied overall with institutional care. In multiple regression analysis, there was a statistically significant difference in degree of family caregiver satisfaction according to caregiver characteristics(relationship to beneficiary), primary objective stressors (insurance type of beneficiary), perceived quality of services(respect to family caregivers' idea, ADL support, expertness of staff, careful concern of staff, fulfillment of client's requests, and safety of institution's environment). In public long-term care, satisfaction efforts are in an early stage of development. This study is meaningful as the first attempt to measure family caregiver satisfaction with institutional care for beneficiaries under the PLTCI system, and to identify factors affecting the satisfaction. Among the identified factors, the policy makers, the insurer, and the providers need to pay attention to perceived quality of services, in particular, to improve customer satisfaction. Our findings can provide quality care improvement initiatives in the public long-term care setting.
