Uncertainty means incomplete stages of knowledge of propositions due to the lack of consensus of information and existing knowledge. As the amount of academic literature increases exponentially over time, new knowledge is discovered as research develops. Although the flow of time may be an important factor to identify patterns of uncertainty in scientific knowledge, existing studies have only identified the nature of uncertainty based on the frequency in a particular discipline, and they did not take into consideration of the flow of time. Therefore, in this study, we identify and analyze the uncertainty words that indicate uncertainty in the scientific literature and investigate the stream of knowledge. We examine the pattern of biomedical knowledge such as representative entity pairs, predicate types, and entities over time. We also perform the significance testing using linear regression analysis. Seven pairs out of 17 entity pairs show the significant decrease pattern statistically and all 10 representative predicates decrease significantly over time. We analyze the relative importance of representative entities by year and identify entities that display a significant rising and falling pattern.

The objective of this paper is to support accurate pavement condition assessment and decision of proper maintenance method and time by conducting visual inspection and calculating the remaining life of pavement from falling weight deflectometer(FWD) data. Each was implemented in the same long-term performance pavement(LTPP) sections. Visual inspection was executed to measure pavement condition indices such as crack, rutting and international roughness index(IRI) and the Seoul Pavement Index(SPI) was calculated based on these results. The dynamic modulus was back-calculated from the FWD data. The remaining pavement lives were determined from equivalent single axle loading(ESAL) and FWD data. Correlation of maintenance priority by each result value was examined. Consequently, the correlation between remaining life to Crack and Rutting was higher than the other factors or indicesbecause IRI is not related to FWD value and SPI value consists with IRI value and other indices. The R-square value of correlation of FWD with Crack and Rutting was 0.65, which indicated an insufficient correlation. Consequently, when decision of maintenance of method, time, etc. is determined, FWD data have to be considered with Crack and Rutting because of those relations.

Regarding the physical properties of wheat flour added with lily's root powder, elasticity in farinograms tended to increase as the ratio of added lily's root powder increased. However, viscoelasticity, absorptivity, absorption time, and stability tended to decrease after an initial increase when a certain ratio of lily's root powder was added to the wheat flour. Results from the rapid viscosity analyzer (RVA) indicated that the retention strength, final viscosity, break down, set back value, $P_{max}$ value of the alveogram, and falling number value decreased. As for gaseous release, measured with a rheofermentometer, the total amount of $CO_2$ gas generated and retained tended to decrease. As for the gelatinizing properties in terms of differences in the granularity and the amount of lily's root powder (bulbs) added to wheat flour, the initial gelatinization temperature had no effect regardless of the type or amount of general grinding and minute (ultra-fine, $10\;{\mu}m$) lily's root powder. Meanwhile, the peak viscosity and peak viscosity time exhibited significant differences in 3, 5% general grinding lily's root powder additive groups. On the other hand, there was no significant difference between 3, 5% minute lily's root powder additive groups. This is likely because the activity of the enzyme in wheat flour decreased relatively and differences in the lily's root powder granularity resulted in a variation in water absorptivity. In the preference test, flavor retention of the functional bread increased according to the granularity of lily's root powder and the ratio of added lily's root powder, thus resulting in significant differences in the mouth feel and flavor; the texture and crumb color, however, did not exhibit significant differences.
In his discussion of some desirable tuning points in comparative literary studies, Henry H. H. Remark has emphasized the importance of literary approach to other forms of art. Understanding the significance of such a method of comparative literature, the present study focusses on three contemporary Korean poets who have transferred Mark Chagall′s paintings into their poetry: Youngtae Kim, Chunsoo Kim, and Sunghun Lee. They are usually evaluated as surrealist/modernist in our literary circles. In transforming Chagall′s paintings into his poems, Youngtae Kim has incorporated a variety of surrealist mosaic techniques such as montage and collage. The resultant peculiarity of his poetry makes it hard to lay bare the correspondence or similarities between his poetic world and the world of Chagall′s artistry. It is nonetheless possible to see how Kim, as a poet and painter, had interpreted Chagall′s world with a bird′s-eye view of it. Chunsoo Kim′s "Snow Falling on the Village of Chagall" relates specially to one of Chagall′s paintings, "I and My Village." The present study has taken notice of this correlation in sorting out some basic elements of poetic transfiguration. One of the techniques employed in the poem under discussion is that of juxtaposing the Russian village of Chagall and the Korean village the poet visualizes, with the effect of putting two national traditions in contrast. A reading of the poem reveals that it is not so much the result of a detailed analysis of the painting as a revival of its lingering impression as a whole. In Sunghun Lee′s poetry, surrealist techniques are again a hallmark. But his method of transferring the images of the paintings into his poems falls somewhere between those of Youngtae Kim′s and Chunsoo Kim′s: it is akin to the ′bird′s-eye method′ of the former and shares the impressionistic touch with the latter, but at the same time Lee is analytical by disposition and opts for concrete descriptions. ′Love,′ ′farm,′ and ′time′ are the keywords that are brought under discussion in the present study. There is a growing demand in the current international comparative literary studies for broadening the area of comparative literature. This study hopes to be a small contribution to endorsing the importance of comparative approach to fine arts.

The proposed Multi-level PDP sustain Driver is composed of the semiconductor devices with low voltage rating compared to those used in the prior circuit proposed by L. Wether, and it has two resonant periods during the charging (rising period) and discharging (falling period) the PDP in the sustaining voltage waveforms. In accordance with the change of timing phase$(T_{r1},\;T_{i1},\;T_{r2})$, the performance characteristics of a commercial PDP module has been carried out and compared the characteristic with the 42V6, made of LG Electronics co., Experimental results show that the performance characteristics of PDP module are greatly influenced by the variation of $T_{i1}\;and\;T_{r2}$. The variation of $T_{r1}$ do not influence much on the performances of PDP. With the conditions that $T_{r1}=60ns,\;T_{i1}=120ns,\;and\;T_{r2}=350ns$, we could get the performances listed as the luminance is increased $14.6\%$, the power consumptions is decreased $5.9\%$, the panel efficiency is increased $24.2\%$, module efficiency is increased $21.2\%$, compared to those shown in the commercial PDP module (42V6). Therefore, the proposed multi-level PDP sustain driver expected to be suitable to actual PDP module application.

Purpose: We would like to find the alternative method for the weathering test on rubber coated fabrics and adhesive-coated fabrics for the military products, KS M 0706 (Sunshine carbon arc) to KS M ISO 4892-2 (Xenon arc). Methods: We measured the tensile strength of adhesive-coated fabrics and adhesive products treated with sunshine carbon arc and xenon arc during 100, 150 and 200 hours, respectively. All of the results were treated with statistical test, ANOVA method. We also validate the surface modifications caused by treatment method and time by using FT-IR ATR and, SEM. Results: In case of the thick adhesive-coated fabrics (app. 1 mm), there was no distinctive difference on tensile strength by treatment method and time. In case of the thin mask hood (app. 0.22 mm) and TENT (app. 0.5 mm), there was distinctive difference on tensile strength. Especially, carbon arc showed a huge lowering properties. We could validate the curing from light and moisture, and the functional group change from cross-linking and oxidation using FT-IR ATR. In case of IBS, there was a surface cracks on SEM images. In case of mask hood, there was no distinctive differences, except for a particle falling from decreased affinity between rubber and particles caused by carbon arc. Conclusion: We concluded that there was no problems for changing xenon arc weathering test with same treatment time on IBS, KM7, K21 and adhesive products. In case of TENT and mask hood, there was a difference in tensile strength in accordance with the change of the treated time and method.

This study was done to determine the optimum sowing time for spring sowing wheat in the southern region of the entire Korean peninsula. Jokyoung and Keumkangmil were sown four times at one-week intervals starting from Feb. 14, 2013. The thousand grain weights of the two wheat varieties were the highest on February 14 with the seed weights ranging from 36.6 to 40 g and significantly decreasing as the seeding time was delayed. The unmatured grain percentage increased sharply when both cultivars were sown starting on March 7. The grain yields were the highest for Keumkangmil with 3.07 MT/ha when sowed on February 21 and 3.37 MT/ha for Jokyoung when sowed on February 14. In both cultivars, the grain yield decreased drastically when they were sown on March 7. Ash content did increase when the sowing date was delayed. The flour gluten index was the highest at 96.2 in Keumkangmil with a February 28 sowing, and the sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) segmentation was the lowest ranging from 63.8 to 65.3 mL with the February 28 sowing. The falling number tended to increase with the delay of the sowing period. The flour milling rate was gradually decreased with the delay of sowing, and the bran gradually decreased. When both cultivars were sown after February 28, the grain and flour yields sharply decreased. In the southern region, the optimum time for the spring sowing of wheat is from February 14 to February 21.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine which factors contribute to the surgical treatment outcomes of acetabular fractures. Simultaneously, we aim to report on the treatment results after our hospital was designated as the focused training center for trauma. Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of all patients who experienced acetabular fractures from January 1, 2014 to May 1, 2017 and visited our hospital. Patients who had associated pelvic ring fractures or were lost to the one-year follow-up were excluded; a total of 37 fractures were evaluated. We evaluated the clinical results using the scoring system of Merle $d^{\prime}Aubign\acute{e}$ (MDA) and grade of Brooker for heterotopic ossification. Results: Thirty-seven patients (31 men and 6 women) were identified. The mean injury severity score (ISS) was 8.7, with 32.4% of patients having a score >15. The average blood transfusion in the first 24 hours was 0.54 pints. Falling was the most common injury mechanism (32.4%). Chest injury was the most common associated injury (16.2%), followed by head injury (13.5%). The posterior wall and both column fracture were the most common (37.8%) fracture patterns. Excellent and good clinical grades of MDA included 28 patients (75.6%) and fair and poor grades included nine (24.3%), respectively. Four patients were diagnosed with a post-operative infection (10.8%); one out of four patients who had co-morbidity died (2.7%), and another patient underwent a replacement surgery (2.7%). Multivariate analysis showed that age and operation time were associated with MDA. In addition, operation time and ISS were significant co-factors of the Brooker grade. Conclusions: Korea University Guro Hospital showed similar treatment results of acetabular fractures compared to other publications. The age and operation time were co-factors of the clinical outcome of this fracture. Additionally, increased operation time and injury severity score were suggested to increase the Brooker grade.
