캡스톤 디자인 수업에서 개인 능력을 반영하는 공정한 평가 방법 (Fair Assessment Method Reflecting Individual Ability in Capstone Design Course)

  • Capstone design is a subject taught in a setting where students gather in a team, decide on their own selected topic, and collaborate with one another to perform a project. A fair assessment is very important in a team project-based capstone design course for students. Many instructors agree that harmonizing creative evaluation and outcome assessment is hard in capstone design class. In also, it is not easy to assess students' individual efforts and achievements fairly in accordance with team-based assessment practices. To resolve this issue in this paper, we have surveyed various engineering design education methodologies, and have modelled existing evaluating elements into a modified creative process and outcome assessment framework for team project assessment. In particular, we focused on a method of fairly assigning credits by combining team based and individual-level assessments. Analyzing students' achievement and grade evaluation and verifying the validity of the proposed method was performed.

  • 최근 빅데이터 산업의 발전으로 디지털 플랫폼에서 데이터 활용 서비스를 제공하는 사례가 증가하고 있다. 이와 관련해 데이터 관련 분야에서 (메타)데이터 품질, 서비스, 기능 등의 평가에 적용할 수 있는 FAIR 원칙을 데이터 품질 평가에 적용하여 활용하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 유럽 오픈 데이터 포털에서는 FAIR 원칙 기반의 평가 모델을 적용하여 이를 기준으로 데이터 성숙도 평가를 시행하고 그 결과를 매년 보고서로 공개하고 있다. 이에 반해 공공데이터 포털에서는 메타데이터를 기반으로 한 데이터 성숙도 평가를 시행하고 있지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 유럽 오픈 데이터 포털에서 데이터 성숙도 평가를 위해 사용되고 있는 FAIR 원칙을 국내 여러 공공데이터 포털 및 데이터 거래를 위해 구축된 빅데이터 플랫폼에 데이터 성숙도 평가를 위한 새로운 모델 제안하고 평가를 시행한다. 제안한 성숙도 평가 모델은 공공데이터 포털 데이터셋 품질을 평가하는 모델이다.

Comparing the Use of Self and Peer Assessment: A Case Study in a Statistics Course

  • In this study, we compare the assessments made by self, peer and instructor in a statistics course. The goal is to investigate the following two questions: (1) Is it reasonable or fair to expect students to be responsible for assessing the work of their colleagues and themselves? (2) What are students' opinions about the learning effect after they participate in the assessment process? As part of the study investigating these questions, we designed a prototype for a Web-based assessment tool and a procedure to apply the assessment techniques in a statistics course. In addition, we collected and analyzed the data produced in the assessment processes from students and the instructor. The analysis results are summarized as follows: First, self assessment was not accord with instructor assessment, but peer assessment was similar to the assessment by instructor. This result reflected that it is reasonable or fair to expect students to be responsible for assessing the work of their colleagues. Second, peer assessment of their colleagues successfully helped students increase their understanding of the course, and the students increased their skills in the actual assessment process by assessing the work of their colleagues. Finally, many students indicated a high interest level on the assessments.

지리교육의 지능공정한 참평가 모형 개발 및 적용 (Intelligence-fair and Authentic Assessment in Geographical Education Application and Practics)

  • 본 연구는 평가의 본질적 차원인 '<학습을 위한 평가' 에 주목하고, 전통적인 평가체제 및 공식적이 수행평가의 대안으로서 지능의 공정성을 강조하는 다중지능론과 수행과제의 자실성을 중시하는 참평가론을 접목시켜 <지능공정한 참평가 모형>을 개발하여 그 적용가능성을 보여주고자 하였다. 지리평가는 수행과제에 자실성이 내재되고, 수행주체의 다양한 지적 능력이 수용되며, 수행목표가 교육의 합목적성에 부합될 때 이상적으로 구현될 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해 전략적 아이디어의 선정, 실생활적 지리과제의 개발, 교사의 구성적 안내, 다중지능적 표상기회의 제공, 항목별 평가척도의 적용 등으로 구성되는 지능공정한 참평가(IFAA) 모형을 구안하였고, 이를 모의지형도 작성이란 수행과제에 적용한 결과 그 지리 교육적 효용성과 타당성을 확인할 수 있었다.

족근통(足根通)에 봉약침료법(蜂藥針療法)이 미치는 영향(影響) (The Effect of Bee-venom Acupuncture on Heel Pain)

  • Objetive : To evaluate the effect of treatment for Heel Pain by using Bee-venom Acupuncture that is well known for anti-inflamatory effect and function of activating immunine system. Methods : We investigated 32 cases of patient with Heel Pain. From 1th November 2001 to 30th June 2002, 32 cases of patient with Heel Pain treated at the Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion of Kyung-won University Oriental Hospital were selected for two group. One group was treated by Bee-venom Acupuncture therapy (Bee-venom Acupuncture Group : BAG), the other group was treated by Common Acupuncture therapy (None Bee-venom Acupuncture Group : NBAG). Both group were composed of 16 patients. After treatment, we evaluated the effects per each group. Results : 1. In the distribution by sex & age : 5 cases were male, 11 cases were female in BAG. 10 cases were male, 6 cases were female in NBGA. Forty aged cases were the most in BAG. Thirty aged cases were the most in NBAG. 2. Assessment of treatment by therapeutic frequency : 14 cases(87.5%) were above "Fair" within 6 times in BAG, 7 cases(43.8%) were above "Fair" beyond 10 times. 3. Assessment of treatment : Excellent were 9 cases, Good 5 cases, Fair 2 cases in BAG, Excellent were 2 cases, Good 7 cases, Fair 2 cases, Poor 5 cases in NBAG. Therapeutic effect above "Fair" were 16 cases(100%) in BAG, 11 cases(68.8%) in NBAG. 4. Comparing BAG with NBAG by therapeutic frequency and assessment in Grade II state : 11 cases(91.7%) were above "Good" within 6 times in BGA, 3 cases (57.1%) above "Fair" beyond 10 times. 5. About average frequency of treatment in the distribution of Grade : Grade III was 5.3 times, Grade II 4.0 times in BGA, whereas Grade III 16.0 times, Grade II 8.4 times in NBGA. Conclusions : In the treatment of Heel Pain, the Bee-venom Acupuncture can be regarded as more useful method in the clinical practice, because it has comparatively shorter duration of treatment and is more effective.

다변수 메트릭 모델을 이용한 식장산 계곡천의 생태 건강성 평가 (Ecological Health Assessment of Mountainous Stream in Mt. Sik-Jang using Multi-metric Models)

  • This study was to introduce a methodology of ecological health assessment for efficient management and to provide some diagnostic results of the survey. We evaluated ecological health assessment at five sampling locations of Sikjang Mountainous Stream using the index of biological integrity (IBI) and Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI) during May - October 2006. The health condition, based on the IBI model, averaged 32 and varied from 27 to 37 depending on the sampling sites. Thus, the stream health was judged as "good" to "fair" conditions. IBI values showed slight differences between upstream and downstream sites. Whereas, QHEI values varied from 75 (fair condition) to 196 (excellent condition) and QHEI at St. 4~5, indicating the downstream reach had significantly lower than the headwater site (St.1). Regression analyses also showed that QHEI values had a linear decrease from the headwater to downstream. This result indicated that habitat quality was rapidly degradated by human influence. Overall, data of IBI and QHEI suggested that the stream health was maintained well in the present but the habitat and biological quality were partially degradated in the downstream. So, the human interference should be minimized to protect the downstream environment.

  • Performance assessment was introduced to improvement of self-directed learning and method of assessment for differenced learning as the seventh educational curriculum is enforced. Performance assessment is overcoming limitation about problem solving ability and higher thinking abilities assessment that is problem of a written examination and get into the spotlight by way for quality of class and school normalization. But, performance assessment has problems about possibilities of assessment fault by appraisal, fairness, reliability, and validity of grading, ambiguity of grading standard, difficulty about objectivity security etc. This study proposes fuzzy performance assessment system to solve problem of the conventional performance assessment. This paper presented an objective and reliable performance assessment method through fuzzy reasoning, design fuzzy membership function and define fuzzy rule analyzing factor that influence in each sacred ground of performance assessment to account principle subject. Also, performance assessment item divides by formation estimation and subject estimation and designed membership function in proposed performance assessment method. Performance assessment result that is worked through fuzzy performance assessment system can pare down burden about appraisal's fault and provide fair and reliable assessment result through grading that have correct standard and consistency to students.

지혈대 없이 시행한 관절경하 후방십자인대 재건술 (Arthroscopic Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction without Tourniquet)

  • 목적: 관절경하 후방 십자 인대 재건술시 지혈대의 필요성에 대한 언급된 문헌이 없어 지혈 대 없이 시행하는 본원의 관절경하 후방십자인대 재건술 결과 및 술기에 대해 보고하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 1998년 1월부터 2003년 5월까지 본원에서 후방십자인대 손상으로 관절경을 시행한 75례중 외측 측부인대 및 후외측 측부인대와 같은 동반손상으로 인해 관절외적 시술로 지혈대를 시행한 환자 16례와 술후 추시관찰이 12개월 이하인 10례를 제외한 49례의 단독 후방 십자 인대 손상 환자를 대상으로 하였고 자가 골-슬개건-골을 이용하여 재건한 경우 13례, 동종 골-슬개건-골을 이용하여 재건한 경우 19례, 동종 아킬레스 건을 이용하여 재건한 경우 17례였다 평가방법은 49례를 Lysholm knee scoring scale을 이용하여 비교하였다. 결과: 지혈대 없이 관절경하 후방 십자 인대 재건술을 한 경우 수술시간은 평균 105분 소요되었으며, 출혈로 인해 시야가 혼탁하여 지혈대를 사용한 경우는 없었다. 모든 환자에서 수술 부위의 부종, 국소 종창, 울혈, 환부 감염등은 관찰되지 않았다. Lysholm knee scoring scale을 이용한 평가 결과는 자가 골-슬개건-골을 이용한 경우는 평균 74점(fair) , 동종 아킬레스 건을 이용한 경우 75점(fair) , 동종 슬개건-골을 이용한 경우는 76점(fair)였다 결론: 관절경하 후방십자인대 재건술시 지혈대를 사용하지 않아도 수술에 어려움은 없으므로 지혈대 없이 재건술을 시행함으로써 지혈대로 인해 야기되는 합병증을 방지할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
