This study investigated the relationship between privacy policy awareness and willingness to provide personal information. Online privacy policies published on the Internet aim to build the trust of consumers and reduce their concerns about the provision of providing personal information. This study uses FIP(FIP; Fair Information Practices) principles to measure awareness of privacy policy. The result of the survey indicates significant relationships among awareness of privacy policy of e-commerce websites, privacy trust, and privacy risk. Privacy policy aims to improve transparency of collection and use of personal information. A high level of privacy trust is related to a high level of willingness to provide personal information on an e-commerce website. A low level of privacy risk is related to a high level of willingness to provide personal information on an e-commerce website. This study found that disposition to trust moderates the relationship between privacy policy awareness and privacy trust. This study contributes to further research on the relationships among privacy policy awareness, privacy trust, and privacy risk. The result of this study can be used by companies that aim to build privacy trust and reduce privacy risk.

Capstone design is a subject taught in a setting where students gather in a team, decide on their own selected topic, and collaborate with one another to perform a project. A fair assessment is very important in a team project-based capstone design course for students. Many instructors agree that harmonizing creative evaluation and outcome assessment is hard in capstone design class. In also, it is not easy to assess students' individual efforts and achievements fairly in accordance with team-based assessment practices. To resolve this issue in this paper, we have surveyed various engineering design education methodologies, and have modelled existing evaluating elements into a modified creative process and outcome assessment framework for team project assessment. In particular, we focused on a method of fairly assigning credits by combining team based and individual-level assessments. Analyzing students' achievement and grade evaluation and verifying the validity of the proposed method was performed.

Hierarchical overlay of heterogeneous wireless cells is considered as a promising architecture for next-generation wireless networks. This paper considers a special form of such architecture, WWAN/WLAN two-hop wireless relay networks. We first describe an undesirable scheduling phenomenon that the conventional proportional fair algorithm can cause in such networks. We, then, propose an enhanced proportional fair scheduling to remedy this problem. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed scheme via a simulation of UMTS/WLAN networks using NS-2.

Purpose - This study aims to build other studies and research on the perception and association of fair hiring policy and employee job satisfaction. The reviews and further research of the performance appraisal and employee satisfaction topics provided a basis to conduct this study based on the challenges that result from equality hiring perception on the performance appraisal on the job satisfaction by employees. Research design, data, and methodology - The author collected many textual contexts from mostly peer-reviewed academic journals, which means that academic comprehensive integrity can be obtained by qualitative approach for this study with discussing and following a constructive review analysis. The content analysis aims to determine a textural dataset in the longtime frame from the newest textural information. Result - There is little doubt that this study was significant and relevant to the relationship between fair hiring policy and worker's job satisfaction, indicating that an organization that practices a fair hiring policy positively affects employee job satisfaction. After all, the employee needs are well catered for and meet appropriately. Conclusion - This study suggests that fairness extensively relies on the organization's ability to identify and eliminate any form of performance challenges regarding equity and has proved and determined the significant relationship between fair hiring policy and employees' job satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and overseas laws and regulators' decisions related to zero-rating (ZR) practices through a comparative approach and to support development of the ex-post regulation. Although most countries are adopting ex-post regulatory approaches toward the globally increasing ZR practices, there is no uniform standards or an approach to consider when deciding whether to allow mobile ISPs' zero-rating practices in the market. However, in recent years, some countries have been improving their policy transparency with respect to ZR through enacting and amending relevant laws as well as making trial decisions. The comparative analysis shows that each country investigates restriction of the user choice and ISPs' adherence to the obligation of non-discrimination in order to judge whether the user benefits are damaged by the ZR practices. It also investigates ISP-CP's market positioning and ISP's vertical integration for profit squeeze to find out whether they harm fair competition with ZR practices in the mobile ecosystem. Based on the results of the comparative analysis, we suggest the desirable ZR regulatory directions under the domestic legislative status.

The purpose of this study is to examine the concept of civic journalism and the contents of Korean Internet newspapers that might reflect the possibilities of this new medium for civic journalism practices. This study examined how far and deep civic journalism practices have extended into Korean Internet newspapers as journalism's new tradition. More specifically, this study analyzed news articles of Korean Internet newspapers to uncover any differences among civic journalism Internet newspapers with different citizen reporter systems. The composite measure based upon ten elements of civic journalism practices was used as indicator of civic journalism practices. To obtain systematic data on news offered by Korean Internet newspapers on the World Wide Web, four major Internet newspapers, including Ohmynews, Ngotimes, Netpinion and Pressian were examined by a content analysis in April and May of 2003. Findings of this study reveal that many Korean newspapers do not fully exploit the opportunities and advantages offered by the new medium for civic journalism practices in online environments. Both aggregate and individual level of analysis for the civic journalism index reveal that there are some differences between non-civic journalism and civic journalism Internet newspapers using citizen reporter systems. However, overall performances of civic journalism Internet newspapers are not good enough to support the argument that civic journalism is well practiced in Korean Internet newspapers. Nonetheless, it would not be fair to conclude that Korean Internet newspapers have totally ignored the Internet's potential to increase the civic journalism performance in online environments.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance and importance of dietitians' role in order to provide basic information for an efficient foodservice management. This approach was achieved using a variety of quantitative and qualitative informations including general foodservice management, dietitian's role performance and importance. A survey of 453 office and factory foodservices was undertaken and detailed information was collected. Statistical analysis of data was performed using SAS package program for descriptive analysis, 1-test, $\chi$$^2$ test, and analysis of variance. The general characteristics of the dietitians were that 80.20% were aged between 20∼29 and 66.49 had work experience with less than 5 years. And 61.68% were graduated from college. The Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) technique was used for obtaining information of dietitian's foodservice management practices. By the results of the IPA technique, foodservice attributes with fair to poor performance and high impotance was service management for customer satisfaction. The average scores of dietitian's role performance and importance were 3.33 and 4.03 out of 5, respectively. Dietitians with work experience more than 10 years and aged more than 30 years old had more work performance than those.

The purpose of this study drew the core elements of ISO26000 by analyzing the elements suitable to the characteristics of casino companies, and examined the influence of the core elements of ISO26000 on organizational trust following the level of organizational trust of employees. As a result of the factor analysis, among the 7 measurement items of ISO26000, improvement of governance and fair operating practices were simplified into one factor and thus 6 factors were used for empirical analysis. Therefore, multiple regression analysis using least square method was conducted to examine the impacts of the 6 elements. As a result, 5 variables excluding human rights had significant impacts on the organizational trust. Concretely, the 5 core elements of ISO26000 (labor practices, governance and fair operation, consumer issues, environment and community social and economic development) had significant impact on organization trust in order. In addition, the results of quantile regression analysis show the core elements of ISO26000 had different impacts on organizational trust depending on the level of organizational trust of employees.

The task of consolidating server workloads is critical for the efficiency of a datacenter in terms of reducing costs. However, as a greater number of workloads are consolidated in a single server, the performance of workloads might be degraded due to their contention to the limited shared resources. To reduce the performance degradation, scheduling for mitigating the contention of shared resources is necessary. In this paper, we present the Dynamic Voltage Frequency Scaling (DVFS) based memory-contention aware scheduling method for multi-threaded workloads. The proposed method uses two approaches: running memory-intensive threads on the limited cores to avoid concurrent memory accesses, and reducing the frequencies of the cores that run memory-intensive threads. With the proposed algorithm, we increased performance by 43% and reduced power consumption by 38% compared to the Completely Fair Scheduler(CFS), the default scheduler of Linux.

Private Matching is the problem of computing the intersection of private datasets of two parties without revealing their own datasets. Freedman et al.[1] introduced a solution for the problem, where only one party gets private matching. When both parties want to get private matching simultaneously, we can consider the use of Kissner and Song[2]'s method which is a privacy-preserving set intersection with group decryption in multi-party case. In this paper we propose new protocols for fair private matching. Instead of group decryption we introduce a Semi-Trusted Third Party for fairness. We also propose an update procedure without restarting the PM protocol.
