  • Due to the recent pandemic, most educational systems are being conducted through online classes. Unlike face-to-face classes, it is even more difficult for learners to maintain concentration, and evaluating the learners' attitude toward the class is also challenging. In this paper, we proposed a real-time concentration-based review support system for learners in real-time video lectures that can be used in online classes. This system measured the learner's face, pupils, and user activity in real-time using the equipment used in the existing video system, and delivers real-time concentration measurement values to the instructor in various forms. At the same time, if the concentration measurement value falls below a certain level, the system alerted the learner and records the timestamp of the lecture. By using this system, instructors can evaluate the learners' participation in the class in real-time and help to improve their class abilities.

  • PDA provides an opportunity for users to study anytime and anywhere because it is portable and convenient thanks to its relatively small size. However, users may face difficulties to fully recognize the characters provided through lecture videos, due to its low resolution and small scaled screen. This thesis proposes a system of remote lecture in which the size of videos can be adjusted and transmitted on the basis of contents necessary for study, using detection of region-of-interest(ROI) image, and a method of image scaling in a bid to solve such a problem of PDAs. The experiment on 802.11b wireless network shows that the proposed system is able to provide more optimized lecture videos than in existing method.

  • The real-time video education is used as an effective method of operating classes that replaces face-to-face education of instructors and learners in remote areas. However, the existing video call and video conferences system is mainly used, and this is effective in linguistic education because it focuses on lecture through video, but it is not utilized in other education. In this paper, we propose a design model of real-time video system that can improve the effectiveness of science curriculum and mathematics education by providing the functions that can be utilized during class by improving limitations of image - oriented image education.

  • Through classes conducted using the Shift+N teaching method developed by H University for students taking major courses in radiology, the factors that influence teaching methods on learning outcomes and satisfaction with major courses were identified based on a survey of students. The analysis results were described. Compared to the existing major class method, pre-study was conducted through non-face-to-face lectures in advance and face-to-face lectures were conducted for the main class. After the lecture, related keywords corresponding to the parking lot were presented and class contents related to the keywords were applied. A possible problem was presented. In the next week, we proceeded with problem solving and explaining again the difficult or insufficient parts related to the students' review. As a result, the Shift+N teaching method showed high student participation and satisfaction due to the new class progress, which is different from the existing theory major class. Based on the results of this study, in order to efficiently deliver learning content to strengthen major competencies, we must improve existing major classes and develop teaching methods tailored to major subjects to improve students' knowledge and satisfaction through more effective and innovative teaching methods. A plan must be found.

  • Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death and disability and remains so in the future. The aim of this study was to detect the impact of a 6-month diet intervention on cardiovascular risk factors in postmenopausal Iranian women. It was a randomized controlled trial that carried out in the East Health Clinic in Ahvaz-Iran. This study started on June 2007 and was completed on May 2008. A total 64 healthy postmenopausal women recruited and randomly assigned to the intervention group (35) and control (29). Over the six months follow-up, the intervention group received five educational sessions (two face to face and three lecture discussion classes with slide demonstration) at the first month. These sessions were about menopause, cardiovascular disease and healthy diet. Every participant in the intervention group received one face to face education session at the $3^{rd}$ month, and also received a telephone call at the end of each month starting with the second month to remain on the diet. Pre-intervention and post-intervention anthropometric measurements, blood pressure, blood lipids and dietary intake were assessed. Data analyzed using the SPSS version 15. Descriptive (means and SD), univariate (paired-t test, Chi-Square and Independent T-test) and multivariate (GLM Repeated Measure) statistics were used. Participants in the diet group had significantly lower weight (-0.9 kg), body mass index (-0.4 $kg/m^2$), and fasting blood sugar (-4.5 mg/dl). The diet group significantly increased their daily intake of fiber (+2.3 g, P=0.05), decreased their intake of sodium (-28 mg, P=0.04), and consumption of fruit and vegetable ${\geq}$ 5 serving a day (80%, P=0.03) compared to the control group. Post menopausal women are at a greater risk for cardiovascular disease. Healthy diet using educational intervention can be an effective means of reducing cardiovascular risk in postmenopausal women.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of partial-cyber and full-cyber lectures and explore directions for improvement. This study compared the mean scores of course evaluation for traditional face-to-face lectures, partial-cyber lectures of blended instruction, and full-cyber lectures. Also, this study interviewed instructors of full-cyber lectures to investigate the ways to enhance the lecture quality. The findings suggest that the course evaluation scores for full-cyber university were consistently lower than those for other types of lectures for four semesters between the years of 2011 and 2012. Results also showed that mean scores of partial-cyber lectures were the same as those of face-to-face lectures. After all, class satisfaction in full-cyber courses that learning occurs in cyber space was the lowest. Instructors who taught full-cyber lectures proposed that enrollment should not be within 60 students and professional assistance should be provided for lectures exceeding 60 students. Finally, they suggested content updates through a collaborative system with professionals, instructors' efforts to enhance interaction in both online and offline contexts, and learning quantity rationalization.

  • This study investigated the effects of utilizing 3D printed teaching aids on academic achievement and learning motivation in a non-face-to-face learning environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was divided into an experimental and a comparison group that applied traditional lecture-based teaching and self-directed learning using 3D printed teaching aids and videos. The results of the study showed that the experimental group using 3D printed brain puzzles improved their academic performance compared to the comparison group using traditional lectures. This may be due to the fact that visual and experiential learning helped students to acquire knowledge on their own. The brain puzzles provided an interesting learning experience for the students, and their overall satisfaction with the class was also positive. These results indicate that teaching with teaching aids can increase students' motivation to learn and improve their academic performance. Therefore, the active introduction of 3D printed teaching aids in the non-face-to-face learning environment caused by COVID-19 is expected to improve the quality of education through innovation in learner-centered teaching methods.

  • e-Learning education system as the next educational trend supporting remote and multimedia education. However, the students stay mainly at remote place and it is hard to certificate whether he is really studying now or not. To solve this problem, some solutions were proposed such as instructor's supervision by real time motion picture or message exchanging. Unhappily, as you can see, it needs much cost to establish the motion exchanging system and trampling upon human rights could occasion to reduce the student's will. Accordingly, we propose the new intelligent system based on face recognition to reduce the system cost. The e-Learning system running on the web page can check the student's status by motion image, and the images transfer to the instructor. For this study, 20 students and one instructor takes part in capturing and recognizing the face images. And the result produces the prevention the leave of students from lecture and improvement of attention.

  • In a society with Covid-19 as part of our daily lives, we had to adapt ourselves to a new reality to maintain our lifestyles as normal as possible. An example of this is teleworking and online classes. However, several issues appeared on the go as we started the new way of living. One of them is the doubt of knowing if real people are in front of the camera or if someone is paying attention during a lecture. Therefore, we encountered this issue by creating a 3D reconstruction tool to identify human faces and expressions actively. We use a web camera, a lightweight 3D face model, and use the 2D facial landmark to fit expression coefficients to drive the 3D model. With this Model, it is possible to represent our faces with an Avatar and fully control its bones with rotation and translation parameters. Therefore, in order to reconstruct facial expressions during online meetings, we proposed the above methods as our solution to solve the main issue.
