연안소형어선에 주로 사용하는 FRP선질은 가볍고 강도는 우수하나 인화성이 높아서 기관실 화재사고 등 위험에 노출되어 있고 선박 제작 과정에서 인체에 해로운 유해성분이 발생할 뿐만 아니라, 폐선의 경우 산업폐기물로써 환경오염에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 그런 반면에, 알루미늄합금 어선은 FRP 어선의 단점을 보완할수 있는 재료로써, 고강도 경량화의 효과를 낼 수 있고, RFP어선보다 인화성이 낮아서 열에 강하고 내구성이 높고 강선보다 해수의 부식방지에 뛰어나므로 알룸늄어선의 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이번 호에서는 알루미늄선박 건조시 각각의 단위공정에 대한 작업방법, 작업순서 및 주의사항 등 표준에 대해 코리아타코마조선공법(주)의 알루미늄선박 작업지침과 KSB 0897(불황가스 및 아크용접 작업표준)를 일부 발췌하여 기술하고자 한다.

This paper reports the results of a comparative study on rudder performance between the steel rudders that have been used in coastal angling fishing boats in the 20-GT class and the newly developed FRP composite material rudders. In order to compare the rudder performances of these two types, a sea trial test was carried out to investigate the speed performance, fuel consumption, and ship's turning ability. The results showed that the sea trial performance of the FRP composite rudder was better than that of the steel rudder type in terms of the sea speed, fuel consumption rate, and turning ability.

A scrapped fiber-reinforced plastic(FRP) fishing vessel causes many environmental problems, because technology development for recycling FRP vessel has not been adequately addressed. FRP is a main material for constructing a small coastal fishing vessel that is an object of reduction policy. Therefore, the FRP wastes derived a scrapped fishing vessel are increasing. In this study, I investigated an effective disposal process for FRP through the analysis of the actual conditions of scrapped FRP fishing vessel. The treatment processes of scrapped FRP fishing vessel are carried out with oil-removing, dismantling, intermediated processing(crushing), and then reclaiming follows burning in the final processing in Korea. However, in Japan, several recycling methods have been developed, for example, the incineration including thermal recovery, the use of cement-reclamation, and the use of asphalt concrete aggregate, because the method of reclaiming after incinerating which is generally used in Korea produces a toxic by-product such as dioxin.

소형어선이나 일반적인 활주형선형은 부분적인 형상 수정을 거치게 되면 3차원 곡면으로 이루어진 선체의 외판을 2차원 평면상에 전개하여 표현할 수 있다는 특성을 가지고 있다. 이러한 점을 활용하여 전개도형에 따라서 제작된 얇은 FRP 판재를 선 요소들로 정의된 형틀 상에서 변형시켜 선체의 형상을 만들고 그 내부에 추가로 FRP를 적층 함으로서 선체를 완성하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다.
