Acrylic Acid의 반응추출에 미치는 용매의 영향 (Effect of Solvents on Reactive Extraction of Acrylic Acid)

  • In physical and reactive extraction of acrylic acid using various solvents the equilibrium characteristics of extraction were investigated. The degree of extraction in reactive extraction with Tri-n-octylamine(TOA) was 1.5~3 times than that in physical extraction. Distribution ratio was constant in methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK) and n-butylacetate(n-BAc) but was increased with increasing the concentration of acrylic acid in benzene and chloroform. It can be explained by formation of dimers. Maximum extraction leadings of acrylic acid were three in benzene and were two in MIBK, chloroform and n-BAc, and it was found that acrylic acid was extracted as the form of $A_3$R In benzene and $A_2R$ in MIBK, chloroform and n-BAc. In effect of solvent, the degree of extraction was increased as he difference of solubility parameter of solvent and solute was decreased, and as dielectric constant of solvent was increased.

Chemical Equilibrium and Synergism for Solvent Extraction of Trace Lithium with Thenoyltrifluoroacetone in the Presence of Trioctylphosphine Oxide

  • Equilibria and applications of a synergistic extraction were studied for the determination of a trace lithium by using thenoyltrifluoroacetone (TTA) and trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as ligands. Several equations were derived for the extraction of lithium into m-xylene as a phase of Li-TTA·mTOPO adduct. Distribution coefficients and extraction constant were determined together with a stability constant of the adduct. The adduct was quantitatively extracted from the basic solution of higher than pH 9 by shaking for 30 minutes. m-Xylene was selected as an optimum solvent by comparing the extraction efficiency among several kinds of organic solvents. The stability constant (${\Beta}_2$) for Li-TTA/2TOPO was 150 times higher than Li-TTA/TOPO. The distribution coefficient of Li-TTA/2TOPO into m-xylene was 9.12 and the logarithmic extraction constant (log $K_{ex}$) was 6.76. Trace lithium of sub-ppm level in seawater samples could be determined under modified conditions and a detection limit equivalent to 3 times standard deviation for background absorption was 0.42 ng/mL.

  • 용매추출에서 등온추출곡선은 수상과 유기상에서 평형관계에 있는 농도를 나타낸다. 등온추출곡선과 조업선을 동시에 나타낸 McCabe-Thiele도는 물질 전달공정에서 여러 유용한 정보를 제공한다. 추출반응식과 평형상수를 알고 있는 경우 등온추출곡선을 계산으로 구하는 방법을 소개하였다. 또한 분배계수가 일정한 경우 금속 추출에 필요한 추출단수를 추산할 수 있는 Kresmer식을 소개하였다.

  • Solvent extraction reaction of Zn(II) by Alamine336 from strong HCl solution up to 10 M was identified by analyzing the data reported in the literature. The equilibrium constant of this reaction was estimated by considering the complex formation between zinc and chloride ion. The necessary thermodynamic parameters, such as equilibrium constant for the formation of complexes and the interaction parameters, were evaluated from the thermodynamic data reported in the literature. The following solvent extraction reaction and the equilibrium constant was obtained by considering the activity coefficients of solutes present in the aqueous phase with Bromley equation. $Zn^{2+}\;2Cl^{-}\;+\;R_3NHCl_{org}\;=\;ZnCl_3R_3NH_{org},\;K_{ex}\;=\;6.33\;{\times}\;10^2$ There was a good agreement between measured and calculated distribution coefficients of Zn(II).

  • Solvent extraction reaction of cobalt by Alamine336 from strong hydrochloric acid solution was identified by analyzing the solvent extraction data reported in the literature. Analysis of the data by graphical method revealed that Alamine336 took part in the solvent extraction reaction as a monomer in the concentration ranges, [Co(II)] : 0.0169 - 0.102 M, [Alamine336] ; 0.02- 1.75 M, and [HCl ] : 5 - 10 M. The following solvent extraction reaction and equilibrium constant was obtained from the experimental data by considering the activity coefficients of chemical species present in the aqueous phase. $Co^{2+}+2Cl^{-}+R_3NHCl_{org}=CoCl_3\;R_3NH_{org}$, $K_{ex}=2.21$ The distribution coefficients of cobalt predicted in this study agreed well with those reported in the literature.

LNG추출과정과 냉열이용의 열역학적 해석 (Thermodynamic Analysis of the Extraction Process and the Cold Energy Utilization of LNG)

  • Thermodynamic analysis of extraction process from the constant pressure LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) vessel was performed in this study. LNG was assumed as a binary mixture of 90% methane and 10% ethane by mole fraction. The thermodynamic properties such as temperature, composition, specific volume and the amount of cold energy were predicted during extraction process. Pressure as a parameter ranges from 101.3kPa to 2000kPa. The result shows the peculiar phenomena for the LNG as a mixture. Both vapor and liquid extraction processes were investigated by a computer model. The property changes are negligible in the liquid extraction process. For the vapor extraction process, the temperature in the vessel increases rapidly and the extracted composition of methane decreases rapidly near the end of extracting process. Specific volume of vapor has the maximum and that of liquid has the minimum during the process. When pressure is increased, specific volume of vapor decreases and that of liquid increases. It was found that specific volume of vapor phase had a major effect on the heat absorption at constant pressure during vapor extraction process. If the pressure of the vessel increases, the total cold energy which can be utilized from LNG decreased.

Purification of Isoflavone from Soybean Hypocotyls using Various Resins

  • Isoflavone was extracted with various concentration of aqueous methanol using whole hypocotyls as the starting material. Whole hypocotyls were preferred as the raw material because the residue could be easily removed from the solvent after the extraction process. Extraction yield was almost constant at the methanol concentration of $20-80\%$. Most of the isoflavone was extracted within 1 hr, and the extraction yield remained almost constant thereafter. When the concentration of methanol was $80\%$, the content of total solid was reduced due to the reduced extraction of contaminating protein as the result of protein insolubilization. Among resins tested, Diaion HP-20, Amberlite XAD-16, and Amberlite IRC-50 showed the highest capacity to absorb the compound. Open column chromatography with Diaion HP-20 showed that $80\%$ aqueous ethanol was most efficient as the eluting solvent with final recovery of the phytochemical being more than $95\%$. Maximum adsorption of the phytochemical occurred at the acidic pH 2-4. When the spatial velocity was increased to 15 and more, the degree of adsorption was decreased, whereas below spatial velocity of 15, the adsorption capacity of isoflavone to the resin was almost constant. The purity of the isoflavone purified by column chromatography was $78\%$.

새로운 직류 옵셋 제거 필터에 의한 정확한 페이저 추출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accurate Phasor Extraction Using a New DC Offset Elimination Filter)

  • In this paper, a new DC offset elimination filter is proposed for an accurate phasor extraction of fundamental frequency component. The proposed method can eliminate a DC offset component which is decayed exponentially. The proposed method uses only one cycle of data for phasor extraction computation, which does not need to preset the time constant of the DC offset component. Also, the other advantages of the proposed method is that gain compensation or phase compensation is not required after filtering. Simulations using ATP were performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed filter method, and the results were compared to the ones obtained by conventional methods.

Benzamidoxime에 의한 중금속의 추출특성 (Characteristics of Heavy Metal Extraction by Benzamidoxime)

  • The effects of benzamidoxime concentration, solvents and temperature on the degree of metal extraction were investigated to apply benzamidoxime to heavy metal extraction as chelating agent. Benzamidoxime was synthesized from benzonitrile with hydroxylamine. The chemical structure of benzamidoxime was identified. The degree of heavy metal extraction was increased with increasing the concentration of benzamidoxime and decreasing the extraction temperature. Benzamidoxime was found to be an concentration of benzamidoxime and decreasing the extraction temperature. Benzamidoxime was found to be an effective extractant for Cu-extraction by benzene or chloroform. The relationship between the thermodynamic overall equilibrium constant and absolute temperature was expressed as log K = -5.56 + $855T^{-1}$. Heat of extraction, $$\Delta$H^0$ were calculated from overall equilibrium constants at various temperature and the extraction reactionby benzamidoxime was found to be exthothermic.

  • Sodium amide에 의한 methyl propyl ketone과 ethyl formate의 반응으로 킬레이트 추출제의 하나인 $\beta$-ketohexanal(이하 KHA)를 합성하고, KHA-클로로포름에 의한 구리의 추출평형 실험을 통하여 추출특성을 고찰하였다. 흡광도를 측정하여 추출제 KHA의 상간 분배계수와 해리상수, KHA와 구리간 킬레이트의 안정도 상수와 분배계수 및 총괄 추출 평형상수등을 구하고, 추출기구를 구명하였다 합성한 추출제에 의한 구리의 추출율은 pH 5 이상에서 거의 100%이었고, Cu-Zn-Cd 혼합 금속으로부터 구리의 선택적 추출이 가능하였다. KHA-클로로포름에 의한 구리의 추출 화학종은 $CuR_2$였으며 추출 평형 식은 $Cu^{2+}+2{\overline{HR}}{\rightarrow}{\overline{CuR{_2}}}+2H^+$로 표시되었다.
