A study on the Development of an Embedded PC-based Electronic White Board Control System

  • In this research, an Electronic White Board Control System is developed that stores and prints the data written on the white board. This control system is constructed using an embedded single board PC, whose function is the acquisition(from CCD image sensor system), processing and storing of the data on the screen. The properties of this system are as follows: 1. The system is able to move the screen on the right and left. 2. The system is able to output the data written on the screen to a connected printer. 3. The system is controlled by an external remote PC connected to the system by serial line as well as by the keys on the control panel.   • Due to lack of hydrogen charging stations and hydrogen supply compared to the supply of hydrogen vehicles, social phenomena such as 2-hour queues and restrictions on charging capacity are occurring, which negatively affects the spread of hydrogen vehicles. In order to resolve these problems, it is essential to have a strategic operation of the hydrogen charging stations. To establish operational strategies, it is necessary to derive customer demand patterns and characteristics through the analysis of sales data. This study derived the demand patterns and characteristics of customers visiting hydrogen charging stations through data analysis from various perspectives, such as charging volume, charging speed, number of visits, and correlation with external factors, based on the hydrogen sales data of off-site hydrogen charging stations located in domestic residential areas.

  • Data errors according to the various noises caused in the satellite communication links are corrected by the Viterbi decoding algorithm which has extreme error correcting capability. In this paper, we designed and implemented a convolutional encoder and Viterbi decoder ASIC which is used to encode the input data at the transmit side and correct the errors of the received data at the receive side for use in the VSAT communication system. And this chip may be used in any BPSK, QPSK, or OQPSK transmission system. The ambiguity resolver corrects PSK modem ambiguities by delaying, interting, and/or exchanging code symbol to restore their original sequence and polarity. In case of previous decoding system, ambiguity state(AS) of data is resolved by external control logic and extra redundancy data are needed to resolve AS. But, by adopting decoder proposed in this paper, As of data is resolved automatically by internal logic of decoder in case of continuous mode, and by external As line withoug extra redudancy data in burst mode case. So, decoding parts are simple in continuous mode and transmission efficiency is increased in bust mode. The features of this chip are full duplex operation with independent transmit and receive control and clocks, start/stop inputs for use in burst mode systems, loopback function to verify encoder and decoder, and internal or external control to resolve ambinguity state. For verification of the function and performance of a fabricated ASIC chip, we equiped this chip in the Central and Remote Earth Station of VSAT system, and did the performance test using the commerical INTELSAT VII under the real satellite link environmens. The results of test were demonstrated the superiority of performance.

  • 정확한 전력수요 예측은 스마트 그리드의 효율적인 운영에 있어 매우 중요하다. 최근 IT 기술이 획기적으로 발전되면서, 인공지능 기법을 이용한 빅 데이터 처리를 기반으로 정확한 전력수요를 예측하는 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이러한 예측 모델은 주로 외부 요인과 과거 전력수요를 독립 변수로 사용한다. 하지만, 다양한 내부적 또는 외부적 원인으로 전력수요 데이터의 결측치가 발생하게 되면 정확한 예측 모델을 구성하기가 어렵다. 이에 본 논문에서는 랜덤 포레스트 기반의 결측치 데이터 보완 기법을 제안하고, 보완된 데이터를 기반으로 한 다층 퍼셉트론 기반의 전력수요 예측 모델을 구성한다. 다양한 실험을 통해 제안된 기법의 예측 성능을 입증한다.

  • This study empirically examined the relationships between the growth stage of ventures and their business characteristics such as KSFs, environmental attributes, CEO roles, and utilization of external resources, based on data from 2,515 Korean ventures. ANOVA results of this study revealed that 1) Key success factors appeared different across the different growth stage of Korean ventures. Financial resources were most critical in the early stage of growth, while the foreign technology licensing appeared to be most important for the success of ventures at later growth stage; 2) As the Korean ventures grew, their environments became more dynamic and hostile; 3) Strategic and external activity roles of top management were critical in younger ventures, while roles for marketing and production were important in older ventures; and 4) Utilization of external resources were more frequent at the later stage of ventures than at the early stage of growth. Based on the research, this study offered several managerial, theoretical, and policy implications.

  • We investigated field-effect ion-transport devices based on carbon nanotubes by using classical molecular dynamics simulations under applied external force fields, and we present model schematics that car be applied to the nanoscale data storage devices and unipolar ionic field-effect transistors. As the applied external force field is increased, potassium ions rapidly flow through the nanochannel. Under low external force fields, ther nal fluctuations of the nanochannels affect tunneling of the potassium ions whereas the effects of thermal fluctuations are negligible under high external force fields. Since the electric current conductivity increases when potassium ions are inserted into fullerenes or carbon nanotubes, the field effect due to the gate, which can modify the position of the potassium ions, changes the tunneling current between the drain and the source.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new method of pre-operative planning for tibial deformity correction using double hexapod external fixator in pseudoacondroplasia. The 3-D computer graphic model of deformed tibia was reconstructed from 3 mm sliced CT data, and CAD model of double hexapod external fixator was developed. The fixator was composed of 170 mm diameter of three rings and 90 mm of twelve struts. The bone deformities and the osteotomy lines for double osteotomy were measured using X-rays, and the necessary joint values to correct the given deformities were obtained by inverse kinematics analysis. The computer graphic simulation was performed to visualize the deformity correction process and evaluate the analysis result. By examining the pre-op and post-op X-rays, the simulation result was in good agreement with the clinical outcomes.

일부 대학생의 외적 이미지와 자기 완벽성에 대한 인식이 우울에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of University Student's Perception on their External Image and Self Perfectionism on Depression)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of external image and self perfectionism on the depression. The survey collected 240 subjects from 3 university students in Seoul, Korea. The research period was from May to June of 2011 and the collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 15.0. As a result of this research, those with lower self image level, those with higher self perfectionism increased the depression level. It is necessary to develop programs for university students considering the fact that external image and self perfectionism influence on the depression. Moreover, it should be developed that solutions can decrease psychological pressure and overcome overwhelming expectation.

  • This study is devote to developing navigation filter for detecting sensor failure in multi-sensor navigation system. In multi-sensor navigation system, Kalman filter is generally used to fuse data of each sensors. Sensor failure is fatal in case that the sensor is used as external measurement of Kalman filter therefore detection and recovery of sensor failure is one the important feature of navigation filter. Generally each sensors have its specific feature in measuring navigational information. Fuzzy theory is proposed to detect external sensor failure and provide valid external measurement to Kalman filter avoiding filter divergence and instability. This idea is applied to Autonomous Underwater Vehicle(AUV) which has two navigation sensor i. e self contained inertial sensor and acoustic external sensor. 2 dimensional simulation result shows acceptable failure detection and recovery

Impact of Debts on Economic Growth of Bangladesh: An Application of ARDL Model

  • This study attempts to investigate the effects of different types of debts on economic growth in Bangladesh using time series data spanning from 2000 to 2015. In this study, the RDL model has been applied to determine the long run relationship among the selected variables. The result of the ARDL model shows that there exists a long term relationship between economic growth and the debt variables. It was evident from the findings that there exists bidirectional causality between public sector external debt and economic growth. Causality between private external debt and economic growth has been found to be insignificant. However, causality between domestic debt and economic growth showed a unidirectional causality from domestic debt to economic growth and not vice versa. Causality tests suggest that impact of domestic debt on economic growth is more effective compared to external debts.
