However, data on ownership of business establishments may be useful and one of the best alternatives for this empirical research because of use of limited information about control This study examines the spatial patterns of external control in the Korean manufacturing activities between 1986 and 1992. Using the data on ownership iinkages of multilocational firms between 15 administrative areas, it was possible to construct a matrix of organizational control in terms of the number of establishments. The control matrix was disaggregated by three types of manufacturing industries according to the capital and labor requirements of production processes used in. On the basis of the disaggregated control matrix, a series of measures were calculated for investigating the magnitude and direction of control as well as the external dependency. In the past decades Korean industrialization development has risen at a rapid pace, deepening integration into the world economy, together with the continuing growth of the large industrial firms. The expanded scale of large firms led to a spatial separation of production from control, Increasing branch plants in the nation. But recent important changes have occurred in the spatial organization of production by technological development, increasing international competition, and changing local labor markets. These changes have forced firms to reorganize their production structures, resulting in changes of the organizational structures in certain industries and regions. In this context the empirical analysis revealed the following principal trends. In general term, the geography of corporate control in Korea is marked by a twofold pattern of concentration and dispersion. The dominance of Seoul as a major command and control center has been evident over the period, though its overall share of allexternally controlled establishments has decreased from 88% to 79%. And the substantial amount of external control from Seoul has concentrated to the Kyongki and Southeast regions which are well-developed industrial areas. But Seoul's corporate ownership links tend to streteh across the country to the less-developed regions, most of which have shown a significant increase of external dependency during the period 1986-1992. At the same time, a geographic dispersion of corporate control is taking place as Kyongki province and Pusan are developing as new increasingly important command and control reaions. Though these two resions contain a number of branch plants controlled from other locations, they may be increasingly attractive as a headquarters location with increasing locally owned establishments. The geographical patterns of external control observable in each of three types of manufacturing industries were examined in order to distinguish the changing spatial structures of organizational control with respect to the characteristics of the production processes. Labor intensive manufacturing with unskilled iabor experienced the strongest external pressure from foreign competition and a lack of low cost labor. The high pressure expected not only to disinte-grate the production process but also led to location of production facilities in areas of cheap labor. The linkages of control between Seoul and the less-developed regions have slightly increased, while the external dependency of the industrialized regions might be reduced from the tendency of organizational disintegration. Capita1 intensive manufacturing operates under high entry and exit barriers due to capital intensity. The need to increase scale economies ied to an even stronger economic and spatial oncentration of control. The strong geographical oncentration of control might be influenced by orporate and organizational scale economies rather than by locational advantages. Other sectors experience with respect to branch plants of multilocational firms. The policy implications of the increase of external dependency in less-developed regions may be negative because of the very share of unskilled workers and lack of autonomy in decision making. The strong growth of the national economy and a scarcity of labor in core areas have been important factors in this regional decentralization of industries to less-developed regions. But the rather gloomy prospects of the economic growth in the near future could prevent the further industrialization of less-developed areas. A major rethinking of regional policy would have to take place towards a need for a regional policy actively favoring indigenous establishments.

Purpose : This article was a quasi-experimental study that applies to external -feedback weight-bearing training among hemiplegic patients with a stoke. Methods : It examined whether position sense and balance can improve fall efficacy and prevent a fall. The subject of study was divided in two; Experimental group had 18 people and control group had 16 people. It took 8 weeks to finish training. Experimental group provides external-feedback weight-bearing training for ten minutes after neurological treatment for 20 minutes and control group provides nerves treatment for 30 minutes. To find the effect of a fall assessed position sense, balance and fall efficacy of the lower limbs before the fact, after 4 weeks and 8 weeks. Results : According to the conclusions, external-feedback weight-bearing training to prevent a fall was more effective intervention in experimental group than in control group. Conclusion : This study suggests that external-feedback weight-bearing training is a intervention to prevent the fall of hemiplegic patients with a stroke effectively.

Objective : This clinical research was conducted to test patients with Atopic Dermatitis by external application with Yeongyuseungmatang in cosmetics. Methods : We gave scores to 33 patients who visited the Dept. of Oriental Medical Opthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology of Semyung Jecheon Oriental Medical Hospital from April 17th, 2008 to June 12th. Seventeen patients were treated with Yeongyuseungmatang(Experimental group) and sixteen patients were treated with Atopico skin care cream(Control group) for 4weeks. We observed change of total IgE, eosinophil count, Skin Temperature, Transepidermal Water Loss(TEWL), Skin Hydration and Skin pH. Also Clinic Index of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD Index) and global assesment of efficacy were used to evaluate the effects of Yeongyuseungmatang. Statistical analysis was performed by using frequency analysis and descriptive analysis. Statistical significance was achieved if the probability was less than 5%(p<0.05). Results : 1. After 4 weeks of external application treatment, SCORAD Index in Yeongyuseungmatang was significant statistically decreased compared with control group. 2. After 4 weeks of external application treatment, eosinophil count in Yeongyuseungmatang was significant statistically decreased compared with control group but total IgE was very increased both Yeongyuseungmatang and control group. 3. Statistically, Yeongyuseungmatang and control group didn't showed significant effect on Skin Temperature was measured by Thermometer SM815. 4. Transepidermal Water Loss(TEWL) in Yeongyuseungmatang was significant statistically decreased compared with control group measured by Tewameter TM300. 5. Skin Hydration in Yeongyuseungmatang was significant statistically increased compared with control group measured by Corneometer CM825. 6. Statistically, Yeongyuseungmatang and control group didn't showed significant effect on Skin pH was measured by Skin-pH-Meter PH905. 7. After 4 weeks of external application treatment, Yeongyuseungmatang showed significant effect on global assesment of efficacy. Conclusion : Considering the above results, we can speculate that cosmetics with Yeongyuseungmatang has some therapeutical effects in mitigating the symptoms of atopic dermatitis.
The development of a fast, accurate, and inexpensive position-controlled pneumatic actuator that may be applied to various practical positioning applications with various external loads is described in this paper. A novel modified pulse-width modulation (MPWM) valve pulsing algorithm allows on/off solenoid valves to be used in place of costly servo valves. A comparison between the system response of the standard PWM technique and that of the modified PWM technique shows that the performance of the proposed technique was significantly increased. A state-feedback controller with position, velocity and acceleration feedback was successfully implemented as a continuous controller. A switching algorithm for control parameters using a learning vector quantization neural network (LVQNN) has newly proposed, which classifies the external load of the pneumatic actuator. The effectiveness of this proposed control algorithm with smooth switching control has been demonstrated through experiments with various external loads.
The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in joint moment in the intact limb of uni-transfemoral amputees and to identify the implications of knee osteoarthritis. As an experimental method, three-dimensional gait analysis was performed on 10 uni-transfemoral amputees and 10 healthy males. Kinematics and kinetics at the hip, knee, and ankle joint were calculated. As a statistical method, independent t-tests were conducted to perform a comparison between the transfemoral amputee group and the control group. The results showed that the external knee adduction moment increased in the transfemoral amputee group (.22 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (.13 Nm/kg) at terminal stance (p=.008). External knee flexion moment also increased in the transfemoral amputee group (.24 Nm/kg) but this difference was not statistically significant. External hip flexion moment increased in the transfemoral amputee group (1.35 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (.45 Nm/kg) at initial stance, and external hip extension moment decreased in the transfemoral amputee group (-.26 Nm/kg) compared with that of the control group (-.76 Nm/kg) at terminal stance. Although external ankle plantarflexion moment of the transfemoral amputee group increased, it was not found to be statistically significant. The results suggest that the intact limb joint moment of the uni-transfemoral amputees during walking can be different from that of healthy subjects. In conclusion, it was found that there is a link between the increase of external knee adduction moment and the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis in uni-transfemoral amputees. This result is expected to provide some objective data for rehabilitation programs related to knee osteoarthritis in transfemoral amputees.
Purpose: This study examined the effects of heel insoles on the static balance and leg muscle activity and posture control strategy during external perturbation. Methods: Thirty healthy young men participated in the study. The subjects underwent two experimental conditions: 1) no heel insole condition (0cm) and 2) wearing heel insole condition (5cm). The static balance was measured using an I-Balance device, which measured the change in the center of gravity (COG). The onset time of muscle activation and muscle activation of the erector spinae (ES), hamstring (HAM), gastrocnemius (GCM) were measured using surface EMG electrodes to determine the change in posture control strategy during external perturbation. Results: The speed and distance of COG were significantly higher in the wearing heel insoles condition than the no heel insole condition (p<0.05). In addition, significant differences in the onset time of the GCM, HAM, and ES muscle activation were observed when there was no heel insole condition during external perturbation (p<0.017). On the other hand, no significant differences in the onset time of muscle activation were observed between GCM and HAM when wearing the heel insole condition during external perturbation (p<0.017). Moreover, muscle activation of the GCM was significantly higher in the wearing heel insoles condition than the no heel insole condition during external perturbation (p<0.05). Conclusion: These findings suggest that heel insoles may have disadvantages, and increased efforts are needed to maintain balance and change the posture control strategy during external perturbation.

It's now time for adopting u-Health according to development of internet. It is judged that it needs to research on effect of using internet health information targeting University students who are the most sensitive of internet health information. So we analyzed effect of using internet health information according to internal and external health control materials with 300 University students. As a result, If a rate of investment to the health is high, an effect of internet health information also increases as B=.004, rate of internal health control is high, it decreases as B=-.027 and rate of external health control is high, it increases as B=.037. For a University student who has steady faith about health and can control their internal health more easily, the effect of using internet health information has decreased. And for a University student who has high inclination of external dependence about health and can control their external health more easily, the effect of using internet health information has increased. So it needs to raise credibility, accuracy and accessibility of internet health information.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the internal and external control of the caregivers of elderly with severe dementia and the effects of care stress on depression, and to provide basic data of occupational therapy intervention. Methods : The internal and external control, care stress, and depression were examined in questionnaires for the caregivers of elderly who were diagnosed with moderate or higher degree of dementia through CDR by medical institutions. Internal and external control and depression by care stress was analyzed by using independent samples t-test and ANOVA, and the effects of internal and external control and care stress on depression were analyzed by performing multiple regression analysis. Results : The results were as follow; The first, there was a significant degree of depression according to difference of internal and external control. The second, there was a significant degree of classification in the care stress. The third, the effects of internal controls and care stress on depression were shown to be statistically significant. Conclusion : Based on the analyzed results, the caregivers of elderly with severe dementia needs to seek the role of a occupational therapist who can enhance internal control and lower care stress in intervention of occupational therapy because internal control and care stress can affect depression.
This paper discusses sliding made control of robot manipurators assuming that nonlinear terms, which are inertia term, Coriolis force term and centrifugal taffn, are external disturbances. We obtained the unknown parameter of its linear terms by Signal Compression Method. We propose a new control input algorithm to decrease chattering in the application of sliding mode control of manipulator whose nonlinear components are regarded as disturbances. In this experiments, we used DSP(Digital Signal Processor) controller to suppress chattering by obtaining a quick switching speed.

Quadrotors relatively smaller and lighter than other aircraft have a disadvantage of being sensitive to the external disturbances. In order to solve this disadvantage, many studies have been conducted by various control techniques robust to disturbances. In this paper, CMGs (Control Moment Gyros) introducing relatively large control torque with an identical amount of electric powers are applied to cancel the external disturbances. Two CMGs are considered to control the attitude of quadrotors so that a multi-copter installed with two CMGs and four rotors are introduced for this work. Finally, to verify the control performance of the proposed system by the CMGs, a numerical simulation conducted in the given harsh environment.
