  • Today, the online market has grown rapidly due to the development of digital platforms and the pandemic situation. Therefore, unlike the existing offline market, the distinctiveness of the online market has prompted users to check online reviews. It has been established that reviews play a significant part in influencing the user's purchase intention through precedents of several studies. However, the current review writing method makes it difficult for other users to understand the writer's emotions by expressing them through elements like tone and words. If the writer also wanted to emphasize something, it was very cumbersome to thicken the parts or change the colors to reflect their emotions. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technique to check the user's emotions through facial expression recognition using a camera, to automatically set colors for each emotion using research on existing emotions and colors, and give colors based on the user's intention.

  • This thesis examines the play education method shown in the elementary school textbook 'Enjoy Play'. If the educational methods of the curriculum other than plays were presented in the order of 'Understanding play - Appreciation of Works - Creation of Works', the method of drama education is presented sequentially in the order of 'Understanding play - Creation of Works - Appreciation of Works' in the order of 'Understanding play - Artwork - Appreciation' have. Even if such a curriculum considers the study linked to the subject of 'Plays', students may not feel the 'burden' of 'creation', and by simplifying the understanding of 'spoken language', it is rather the characteristic of 'Korean language'. It may also make it difficult for students to feel the attraction. In addition, empathy through the conflict situation of the play or comparison with the actual conflict is mainly presented through the translation of foreign works or the expression of a fairy tale and fantastic world that is far from reality, so the burden of inferring the right life problems can be confirmed. Theatrical expressions and plays and plays learned through textbooks are partially different depending on the educational goals to be achieved. The result of this study is that the course of textbooks for elementary and upper grades may correspond to the problem of expressing 'Plays', but it is regrettable in leading students to think about ways to solve life problems in detail through 'Plays'. It is also necessary to emphasize the importance of expression that makes students realize how to express themselves autonomously in the way of expressing their feelings, but on the other hand, on the other hand, it is necessary to share empathy with feelings first, understand these feelings, Therefore, it was suggested that training to infer expressions and emotions by learning individual expressions through methods of expressing emotions and a process of educating students to voluntarily accept shared emotions are also necessary. Experiencing and Expression of Deaf Adolescents (농인 청소년의 감정 경험 및 표현 특성)

  • This study examined the difference between the deaf and hearing adolescents of experiencing emotions and the intensity levels of expressing them. Three different video clips were used to induce pleasure, anger, and sadness. While watching the clips, facial expressions of the participants were recorded. The experienced emotions were measured by a self-report method, and the third person rated participants' expressed emotions based upon the recorded facial images. Two groups (deaf and hearing) were compared if those two groups shared the same experienced emotions, and whether the ratings scored by the third person corresponded with the self-rated scores. There was no significant difference in experienced emotion and its intensity level. However, hearing adolescents showed more intensive responses of pleasure than they reported, while deaf adolescents showed less intensive expressions of happiness than they reported themselves. Thus, hearing people might not be able to detect and fully comprehend how the deaf feel in general circumstances. This further indicates that the deaf adolescents cannot get enough supports from the hearing people when they express their feelings, and consequently, have a possibility of causing misunderstandings, conflicts, or even a break in relationships.

  • Laboratory equipment will continue to be developed and created as long as experiments continue. Up until now, the designs have been focused on the functional role; successfully process the study purpose. However, nowadays, the requirements of providing emotional satisfaction of the design, has increased. Even so, the users are normally limited by specific groups and investments on these designs have been neglected due to small annual production by the small market. Through this study, we have conducted an emotional evaluation on Temperature and Humidity Chamber's (TH Chamber) exterior shape. First of all, we extracted emotional words and placed them in categories that represent these emotions and conducted an emotional evaluation on four typical TH chamber models. They were selected based on its door lock type and control box type. The result showed that the 'fixed type' of control box and the 'handle type' of door lock were most favorable by the users, satisfying the five representative emotions; 'Attractiveness', 'Classiness', 'Comfortableness', 'Pleasant' and 'Satisfaction in Usability'. Particularly, all 4 emotional words in the 'Satisfaction in Usability' category recorded over 3.65. This indicates that Satisfaction in Usability is relatively an important category when expressing laboratory equipment. The result of this research is expected to be used as a basic data to find a way of right approach in laboratory equipment design.

Motivations for the Using Emoticon : Exploring the effect of Motivations and Intimacies between Users on the Attitude and Behaviors of Using Emoticon (이모티콘 사용자의 이용 동기에 대하여 이용 동기와 친밀도에 따른 이모티콘 이용 태도와 행태 차이)

  • The forms of emoticon - a symbolic tool which expresses a person's sentiments and emotions in virtual space - have been diversifying by the growth of the mobile market. In light of this phenomenon, a number of studies about emoticon have been conducting in Korea. Nevertheless, those are limited not only to a certain form of emoticon which is combinations of symbolic characters but to the functional aspect of emoticon. Thus, this research focused on the image-form emoticon which is the most highly used, and on the user's perspective rather than functional. It is (1)found out the motive of using image-form of emoticon, and (2)explored the attitude and using behaviors toward emoticon based on the motives found. Moreover, this study (3)examined if there is a gender effect and intimacy effect. As a result, the motives of the emoticon-users were to express their emotions, to show their intimacies to the receivers, to manage their images, and to supplement text-based messaging. Two of the motives - expressing emotions and expressing intimacy - had a positive effect on the attitude and the frequency of emoticon-use. It is also found that the higher intimacy users feel toward the receivers, the better the attitude they have as well as the more frequent they use emoticon. This study suggests practical implications of emoticon as a growing communication tool by identifying the motives of using it. And it also contributes to examine the effect of the motives and intimacy on the attitude and the actual behavior of using emoticon.

Paradigm on Designer Jean Paul Gaultier's Fetishism (디자이너 장 폴 고티에의 페티시즘에 관한 페러다임)

  • Fetishism, which has been a taboo for a long time, is stimulating the modem people's emotions by being reborn as a fashion trend by a number of designers like Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Claud Montana. Especially, Jean Paul Gaultier, called the bad boy of the fashion industry, is leading the Paris fashion world by expressing his unique fetish elements with his fantastic and uncommon ideas-males' wearing of skirts, wearing underwear like outer garments. Therefore, this study is aimed at investigating how his fetishism is shown in his works, understanding his fetish fashion world in the modem fashion and offering a new stepping-stone for fashion designers to actively participate in new fashion areas. Its results are as follows. First, it was found that the sensual designer Jean Paul Gaultier has been expressing his unique fetish elements in his collections like the following three styles of fetishism-fetishism by physical emphases, fetishism by items, fetishism by material. Second, the symbols of voluptuous beauty reflecting his own fetishism could be found in his movie costumes, license areas and given plots. Third, the work describing Jean Paul Gaultier's fetishism as a fetish image with the concept of Fantasy of Missing was evaluated as a successful work to express an internal sexual desire.

Evaluation of Emotional Characteristics of Premenopausal and Postmenopausal Women Using the Core Seven Emotions Inventory-Short Form (폐경 전후 여성의 핵심감정척도 단축형을 활용한 정서적 특성 연구)

  • Objectives: The study evaluated middle-aged women using the Core Seven Emotions Inventory-short form (CSEI-s) followed by a correlation analysis with Menopause Rating Scale (MRS). Methods: In this study, the medical records of 47 women who visited W University Oriental Medicine Hospital and completed the CSEI-s and MRS were evaluated. A total of 47 women were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science, IBM, United States of America, Version 23.0). Frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, and correlation analysis were conducted. Results: 1. Approximately one-third of all subjects were more than cautious expressing joy and fright. 2. According to their educational status, high-school graduates thought they were superior to those with a bachelor's degree or above. 3. Anger was expressed with caution in the group with severe menopausal symptoms. 4. Anger, thought, depression, sorrow, fear, and fright showed a positive correlation with MRS scores. 5. Among premenopausal and postmenopausal women, fright was associated with menopausal symptoms and response by the autonomous nervous system. Conclusions: The results suggest that CSEI-s can be used to measure the psychological symptoms of middle-aged women.

Emotion Analysis Using a Bidirectional LSTM for Word Sense Disambiguation (양방향 LSTM을 적용한 단어의미 중의성 해소 감정분석)

  • Lexical ambiguity means that a word can be interpreted as two or more meanings, such as homonym and polysemy, and there are many cases of word sense ambiguation in words expressing emotions. In terms of projecting human psychology, these words convey specific and rich contexts, resulting in lexical ambiguity. In this study, we propose an emotional classification model that disambiguate word sense using bidirectional LSTM. It is based on the assumption that if the information of the surrounding context is fully reflected, the problem of lexical ambiguity can be solved and the emotions that the sentence wants to express can be expressed as one. Bidirectional LSTM is an algorithm that is frequently used in the field of natural language processing research requiring contextual information and is also intended to be used in this study to learn context. GloVe embedding is used as the embedding layer of this research model, and the performance of this model was verified compared to the model applied with LSTM and RNN algorithms. Such a framework could contribute to various fields, including marketing, which could connect the emotions of SNS users to their desire for consumption.

Synonym Emotional Adjectives in Coordination: Analyzing [Emotional Adjective + '-ko(and)'] + Emotional Adjective] Structures in Korean (감정형용사 유의어 결합 연구 -[[감정형용사 + '-고'] + 감정형용사] 구성-)

  • This discussion looked at how emotional adjectives are connected in the format [[emotional adjective + '-ko(and)'] + emotional adjective]. As a result, it was confirmed that there are quite a few cases in which two or more emotional adjectives are used to express emotions in Korean. This can help Korean learners understand and express the individual lexical meanings of emotional adjectives more clearly by identifying emotional adjectives that are used together with the corresponding configuration. It was believed that it could help Korean language learners express complex emotions or create rich emotional expressions when expressing their emotions in Korean. It is hoped that the examples and frequency of [[emotional adjective+'-ko(and)'+emotional adjective] shown in this discussion will be of some help in teaching and learning Korean emotional vocabulary.

An Study on the Emotional Labor of Traditional Performing Artists (전통공연예술인의 감정노동에 관한 연구)

  • This ethnographic study aimed to understand the emotional labor of traditional performing artists who hide and control their emotions in performances and the components and characteristics of their emotional labor by means of in-depth interviews with traditional performing artists and Giorgi's analysis method. As a result of the analysis, first, the factors that lead to emotional labor of traditional performing artists can be divided into external and internal ones. The external factors arose from expressing various emotions while creating or suppressing their own emotions in an effort to draw out the emotions of the audience. Also, emotional labor occurred depending on the performance place, performance type and audience reaction. The internal factors consisted of the emotional burden experienced due to concerns over mistakes and audience satisfaction as they voluntarily commit themselves to the performance in order to satisfy the audience. Second, complex emotions that remain after the performance sometimes lead to aftereffects of emotional labor. Third, factors of emotional labor that originate from belonging to an organization had an influence, which resulted in their considering job change or resignation. Fourth, emotional labor arises from the specificity of the traditional performing arts field, that is, negative perceptions and unfair internal practices of traditional performing arts. The study showed that traditional performing artists relieve their emotional labor through hobbies and chatting with colleagues, and took the emotional labor as granted, not recognizing that the occupational emotional labor as emotional labor. This study is significant in that it recognized and analyzed traditional performing artists as emotional workers and focused on the emotional labor components of traditional performing artists.
