The purpose of this study is to examine how change recipients react to change (affective commitment to change) and how change leads to positive consequences (job satisfaction) in Revolution and Evolution, taking into account the change content (perceived change impact), change context (change climate), and change process (participation in the change process). The present study uses a deductive approach with an exploratory research design. Data was collected from 254 employees of the head offices of three major banks, who have gone through Revolution, and 354 employees of the head offices, three banks who have gone through Evolution in the last five years. The hypothesized model is tested and analyzed through structural equation modeling using SmartPLS. The findings revealed that, in the case of Revolution, the presence of the favorable context and process might revert the negative perception of the change and lead towards explicit positive reactions (affective commitment to change) and change consequences (job satisfaction). In the case of Evolution, the change can be more effectively implemented using favorable context and process by achieving explicit positive reactions (affective commitment to change) and change consequences (job satisfaction).

In the future, the ubiquitous computing environment will provide users with context-aware services, intelligently interacting with omnipresent resources and surrounding environments at any location and time. Therefore, the ubiquitous computing environment requires context-aware applications in order to gather and analyze context information in various situations. However, existing context-aware applications have mainly focused on providing services and adapting themselves to users based on user related contexts. But this environment requires not only user related contexts but also Quality-of-Service (QoS) related contexts. In this paper we propose a frame-work for supporting user-oriented QoS in ubiquitous environments. The proposed approach adopts a semantic ontology and a neural network algorithm in order to reason about explicit and uncertain contexts. We also show the possibility of applying the framework to real environments such as collaborative engineering service, automobile maintenance service and ubiquitous home service.

With the advent of ubiquitous computing environments, it has become increasingly important for applications to take full advantage of contextual information, such as the user's location, to offer greater services to the user without any explicit requests. In this paper, we propose context-aware active services based on context-aware middleware for URC systems (CAMUS). The CAMUS is a middleware that provides context-aware applications with a development and execution methodology. Accordingly, the applications based on CAMUS respond in a timely fashion to contextual information. This paper presents the system architecture of CAMUS and illustrates the content recommendation and control service agents with the properties, operations, and tasks for context-aware active services. To evaluate CAMUS, we apply the proposed active services to a TV application domain. We implement and experiment with a TV content recommendation service agent, a control service agent, and TV tasks based on CAMUS. The implemented content recommendation service agent divides the user's preferences into common and specific models to apply other recommendations and applications easily, including the TV content recommendations.

In this paper we present a framework for a novel kind of context-aware preference query composition whereby queries for the Preference SQL system are created. We choose a commercial e-business platform for outdoor activities as a use case and develop a context model for this domain within our framework. The suggested model considers explicit user input, domain-specific knowledge, contextual knowledge and location-based sensor data in a comprehensive approach. Aside from the theoretical background of preferences, the optimization of preference queries and our novel generator based model we give special attention to the aspects of the implementation and the practical experiences. We provide a sketch of the implementation and summarize our user studies which have been done in a joint project with an industrial partner.

The MPEG user description (MPEG-UD) which is a standard under exploration to ensure interoperability among customized recommendation services has been contributed since MPEG $104^{th}$ meeting at 2013. Twenty-two use cases that were divided into different applications have been proposed in the MEPG meetings. Most of use cases were referred to specific and restricted regarding to applications, it appears to miss an overall and explicit infra-structure. In this paper we describe a reference model, namely methodology to overcome aforementioned problems. Thereafter, we have applied reference model to context-based recommendation system to demonstrate the methodology and MPEG-UD schemas. In addition, we propose a development process of recommendation system in compliance with MPEG-UD.

There is a tradeoff between user's privacy and utility of context-aware services in ubiquitous computing environments. Many privacy models have been proposed to support the disclosure of personal information at different levels of detail, in ubiquitous computing environments. However, most of these models do not allow for explicit criteria to assess the benefit users are likely to reap by disclosing their personal information. In this paper, we propose an automated decision making mechanism that evaluates the "benefit of disclosure" for the users based on trust relationships between users and information requesters and manages the disclosure of user's personal information accordingly. Unlike other trust models, we do not regard the reputation of an information requester as sufficient to determine his/her trustworthiness. Instead, we represent trustworthiness as a function of information requester's reputation in the eyes of the user and his/her competence in a given context. To validate our mechanism, we apply it to context-aware healthcare application that monitors physiological condition of a user.

The aim of this paper is to elucidate ancient Chinese philosophy and linguistics through the concept of the Dao. Ancient Chinese thought had developed together with ancient Chinese theories of language and the linguistic features of Classical Chinese. The concept of the Dao served as an intermediary among them. The Dao which ancient Chinese philosophers sought for has several characteristics: ethical normativity, wholeness, dynamicity, non-reducibility. Linguistic studies also revealed them. The following linguistic features of Classical Chinese are the cause and/or the effect of such Dao-based philosophy and linguistics: No explicit subject-predicate sentential structure, no parts of speech, heavy reliance on the word order and context for meaning determination, no explicit distinction between compound words and a sentence, the pictographic or the ideographic features of Chinese graphs, and non-existence of a copula.

This paper presents applications of the objective stress rates to stress update algorithms for transient shell dynamic analysis within the context of explicit time integration. The hypo elasto-plastic materials are assumed in establishing constitutive equations. The derivation of the objective stress rates are investigated by use of the Lie derivative. Comparison results are given between the Kirchhoff and Cauchy stress formulation. The Jacobian determination algorithm proposed in this paper is presented in association with the Belytschko-Lin-Tsay shell theory. Several numerical examples are demonstrated including contact and non-contact examples, by which proposed algorithms are compared with respect to the accuracy and effectiveness.

The context-aware TV task is to recommend programs and control of TV according to user preference, location and voice commands.
